Hyderabad woman throttles husband, claims he died of heart attack; arrested after injury marks raise suspicion

HYDERABAD: A woman who initially claimed her husband had died of a heart attack was arrested by Bachupally police on Saturday, after investigations revealed that she had, in fact, murdered him. According to police, the victim, 32-year-old Anjilappa, was allegedly throttled to death by his wife, Radha, at their Bachupally residence on June 23. After the murder, Radha informed relatives that he had died of natural causes. She then booked an ambulance and shifted the body to his native place in Narayanpet for the final rites. However, during the funeral preparations, Anjilappa's relatives grew suspicious. "Radha told them he died due to a heart attack while intoxicated. But they noticed injury marks on his neck and suspected foul play," Bachupally inspector Upender Rao told TOI. The family immediately alerted the local police in Narayanpet, who registered an FIR and transferred the case to Bachupally police for further investigation. "She admitted to throttling him with her hands while he was asleep and under the influence of alcohol. The injury marks on his neck were caused by her nails during the act," the inspector said. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like One of the Most Successful Investors of All Time, Warren Buffett, Recommends: 5 Books for Turning...
