This Father's Day, Prega News honours the 'invisible journey' of fathers
Prega News
, India's pregnancy detection kit brand from
Mankind Pharma
, has launched a new
Father's Day campaign
that celebrates the often-overlooked contributions of
expectant fathers
during the pregnancy journey.
The campaign highlights how pregnancy transforms both partners' lives, even when one's journey remains largely invisible to the world.
The campaign film features stand-up comedian Aashish Solanki as an expectant father who attempts to experience pregnancy by wearing a belly for a day, undertaking challenges that pregnant women face daily. From picking up objects to sitting comfortably during work calls, the humorous yet enlightening exercise reveals the physical difficulties expectant mothers endure.
However, the narrative takes a meaningful turn when his pregnant wife Rashi and her friends arrive, shifting the focus to acknowledge the emotional and practical support that fathers provide throughout the pregnancy journey.
"This Father's Day, we wanted to shine a light on the invisible half of pregnancy - the father's journey," said Joy Chatterjee, vice president, sales and marketing head, consumer business unit, Mankind Pharma. 'While the physical changes of pregnancy are visible in mothers, fathers too undergo a significant emotional transformation, taking on the responsibility of ensuring financial security for the growing family, working tirelessly to meet increased household needs, and making countless sacrifices to prepare for parenthood.'
The campaign draws inspiration from recent research indicating that 95 per cent of Indian fathers believe that parenting is a shared responsibility, reflecting the evolving dynamics of
modern Indian families
. This progressive outlook marks a significant departure from traditional gender roles, with 94 per cent of fathers actively participating in household chores and childcare.
"Through this campaign, we want to honour the countless ways fathers contribute to the pregnancy journey; from making late-night food runs, planning budgets and providing emotional stability to making major life adjustments and long-term planning for their child's education and healthcare,"Chatterjee added.
The film concludes with the powerful message: "Prega News wishes a Happy Father's Day to all the amazing dads whose invisible journey may not be visible, but who stand by their partners through every joy and challenge of parenthood that begins with good news."

‘Thugs of Hindustan': Lalit Modi, Vijay Mallya sing Sinatra's ‘I did it my way' at lavish London bash; video goes viral
At a glittering London soirée hosted by Lalit Modi, a moment straight out of a movie unfolded: the former IPL commissioner and controversial tycoon Vijay Mallya belted out Frank Sinatra's iconic I Did It My Way to a cheering crowd. The clip, posted by Modi on Instagram, quickly caught fire online – drawing both laughs and raised eyebrows, given the legal baggage both men carry. The bash was anything but low-key. With over 310 guests flown in from across the globe, it was a full-blown spectacle of glitz and nostalgia. Among the familiar faces was former RCB star Chris Gayle, who posted a story with the duo, writing, 'We living it up. Thanks for a lovely evening,' and tagging both hosts. 'Had an amazing night with 310 friends and family… Thank you to one and all who attended this evening and made it one of the most special nights for me,' Modi wrote in the caption, cheekily adding, 'Hope this video doesn't break the Internet. Controversial for sure. But that's what I do best.' A post shared by Lalit Modi (@lalitkmodi) The Internet certainly paid attention. While some viewers said, calling them 'Desi Boys. English Style,' others went a step further with comments like 'Thugs of Hindustan.' One person said, 'Wow that seems like a whole lot of fun.' Lalit Modi, once hailed as the mastermind behind the IPL's global success, has remained in the UK since 2010 after facing suspension from the BCCI. The charges against him include alleged financial irregularities, bid manipulation, and money laundering, involving massive sums under scrutiny by Indian authorities. Vijay Mallya, once dubbed the 'King of Good Times,' left India in 2016 amidst mounting allegations of financial fraud tied to his now-defunct Kingfisher Airlines. Declared a 'fugitive economic offender' by Indian courts, Mallya's legal troubles in the UK continue. Just last week, his appeal against a bankruptcy ruling was thrown out by the British High Court. He's previously claimed that Indian authorities have already recovered assets worth over Rs 14,000 crore, more than what he allegedly owes.

Remember 'Pardesi Pardesi Jaana Nahi' girl? She became overnight sensation, left acting after falling in love with..., she looks unrecognisable now
Aamir Khan and Karisma Kapoor's superhit film Raja Hindustani, released in 1996, was the biggest box office success of that year and became one of the highest-grossing films of the 1990s. While Aamir and Karisma played the lead roles, one actress who truly stole the limelight with the song ' Pardesi Pardesi Jaana Nahi' was Pratibha Sinha. Though she appeared in just that one song, it was enough for her to be nicknamed the 'Pardesi Girl.' Pratibha went on to act in several other films, but her career never reached the heights of her mother, veteran actress Mala Sinha. Pratibha Sinha's father, Chidambaram Prasad Lohani, passed away in 2024, while her mother, Mala Sinha, who needs no introduction, is still with her daughter. Let's take a look at the films Pratibha Sinha has worked in, and find out where she is and what she's doing these days. How was Pratibha Sinha's film career? Pratibha Sinha's mother Mala Sinha was active in films, so Pratibha was inclined towards the film world since childhood. At the age of 22, Pratibha made her Bollywood debut with Sujoy Mukherjee's film Mehboob Mere Mehboob (1992). After this, Pratibha worked in about 20 to 25 films including 'Dil Hai Betaab', 'Deewana-Mastana', 'Tu Chor Main Sipahi', 'Gudgudi', 'Kal Ki Awaaz', 'Mrityuraaj' and 'Ek Tha Raja'. When Pratibha entered Bollywood in the 90s, she was considered a competitor of Madhuri Dixit, but her career ended in a few years. Why did Pratibha Sinha leave acting? Pratibha Sinha's film career did not last long. She fell in love with famous music director, Nadeem Saifi and reportedly sacrificed her acting career. For those who don't know, Nadeem Saifi is one of the most famous music directors in the history of Indian cinema. His duo with Shravan Kumar Rathod is considered among the most successful duos in the Indian music industry. Derived by the name 'Nadeem-Shravan', they ruled the industry from the 1990s to the 2000s. Pratibha and Nadeem came closer while working together in the films, Kal Ki Awaz and Raja Hindustani . Pratibha Sinha looks like this now: However, Pratibha's mother was against her relationship with Nadeem. Mala sent Pratibha to Chennai. However, even after going to Chennai, they continued their relationship and started planning to get married. As per a report in Jansatta, Pratibha boldly stated in an old interview that she wanted to marry Saifi. However, their relationship took an unusual turn when her mother and she organised a press conference in Mumbai, in which the latter accused Nadeem Saifi of kidnapping and rape. A few years later, Nadeem Saifi opened up about the accusations of rape and kidnapping made by Pratibha. He said Mala Sinha played with him by publicly making false accusations against him. The music director added that Mala and Pratibha wanted publicity, so they tarnished his image with false allegations.
