Watch The Official Death Stranding Recap Before the Release of DS2
June is going to be a big month for Hideo Kojima fans as PlayStation gears up for the release of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. If you know anything about the Metal Gear Solid series, you'll know that the story is confusing as hell, and the same can be said for Death Stranding ; now PlayStation has released an official recap for players who are getting into the sequel.
Check this out:
The recap essentially sets up the world and Sam's (Norman Reedus) connection with all the other characters that will be coming back for On the Beach including Fragile (Lea Seydoux) and his Bridge Baby partner Lou. We also get a look at Higgs (Troy Baker) who is expected to come back in an all-new form in DS2 , complete with an electric guitar weapon for maximum aura.
The way these video game sequels are made, they're kind of designed for anyone to just jump in without playing the originals, so it should be no problem if you want to get into Death Stranding without having to get into the first game—which admittedly was divisive when it first came out way back in 2017.
We don't know if Kojima plans to complete more of these Death Stranding titles down the line, but it has been announced that he has several other projects incoming including a horror game OD which stars Sophia Lillis and Hunter Schafer; plus Jordan Peele is also attached as a writer. We don't know when we'll get a new look, but it's possible we'll get something after the hype of On the Beach dies down.
Death Stranding 2: On the Beach comes to PlayStation this June 26.

Ranma ½ Season 2: How are They Going to Handle Master Happosai without Getting Cancelled?
Just like Urusei Yatsura before it, Ranma ½ by Rumiko Takahashi has gotten the anime reboot treatment, and we're expecting a bunch of new characters for the next season of the show. The second season is going to be introducing a bunch of new characters who appeared in the anime including Mousse, Ukyo, and Cologne, but the new trailer has also confirmed that the next season is also going to include Master Happosai. Check it out: Though Happosai feels like any silly Takahashi character, a lot of fans who have watched the anime or read the manga have been nervous about his reintroduction ever since the reboot was announced. If anything, some have even been calling for the series to just omit Happosai altogether. For context, Happosai is the master of Genma and Soun, essentially making him the patriarch of the Anything Goes Martial-Arts school that Ranma is a member of. He's an insanely gifted fighter, but there's one caveat. Essentially, the entire character of Happosai is that he's a massive pervert; and besides perving on girl Ranma, Akane, and the other women of the series, he spends a lot of his time going around town and stealing womens' underwear; where there's also a hot spring, you can expect Happosai is somewhere around trying to sneak a peek. While this seemed like a fine comic villain back in the 90s, a lot of fans don't think that he can fly as a character for the Western market in the 2020s. Even Dandadan was dropped by several viewers after the first episode because sexual assault is a big no no for them. Though he started out as an antagonist, Happosai eventually becomes a mainstay of the Tendo Dojo and essentially fills in the grandpa role. Though he does like to steal underwear and stalk women, the show treats him as harmless for the most part—unless they want him to get up to some shenanigans. Fans who have checked out the new anime have been commending the series for more nuanced takes on the characters, especially Akane—who is given a lot more character as compared to being a damsel in distress/tsundere. Maybe the new anime will tone down Happosai's perversions, but we'll just have to wait and see what happens. Ranma ½ Season 2 returns to Netflix sometime later this year.

WB Games Restructuring will Prioritize 4 Major Franchises Including Mortal Kombat and Harry Potter
It's no mystery that WB Games have been having major missteps recently, what with the cancellation of huge games like Wonder Woman and the underperformance of Mortal Kombat 1 . While rumors had been flying around that WB should just sell their gaming division, it does look like they've decided to do some major restructuring—which a lot of people in the game community think could mean great things for the brand. According to Variety, WBD has announced that they will now focus on four key franchises, namely Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, Mortal Kombat , and DC. Three studio heads have been promoted to major decision-making positions, them being WB Games Montreal studio head Yves Lachance, NethereRealm Studio head Shaun Himmerick, and WB Games New York studio chief Steven Flenory. All three have been promoted to senior vice president with Lachance handling Potter and Thrones ; Himmerick dealing with DC and Mortal Kombat; and Flenory overseeing 'game and publishing technology, customer service, quality assurance, and user research.' With WB Games recently getting flak for poor management, a lot of people in the community think that the promotion of Lachance, Himmerick, and Flenory is a great choice since all have been in the industry for a long time, and they have a better handle at the game development process—which should allow them to make better decisions from up top. The news of the restructuring follows the announcement that heads like David Zaslav will be taking huge paycuts based on the performance of the WB brand since he took over. What's great news is that no layoffs have been made, and it's said that mostly the executives were the one to take the blow here. We don't know what the future holds for WB Games now, but hopefully the restructuring will lead to less games getting cancelled and more hits coming out under the WB banner.
