Inside Charli XCX and George Daniel's Chic Wedding After Party
The 1975 donned a classic charcoal Armani suit while the Brat hitmaker wore a draped ivory satin corseted mini dress from Vivienne Westwood paired with Jimmy Choo slingback heels. Of course, she threw on her signature oversized shades for the post-wedding festivities, too, and captured the moment with a series of TikToks.
'When George isn't crying when he sees me walking down the aisle,' Charli captioned the first video, which was set to her 'girl, so confusing' remix with Lorde.
In another clip, she shared behind-the-scenes vibes with her wedding party, including photographer Aidan Zamiri and Mr. XCX himself. She wore a chic off-the-shoulder white mini dress from Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello as the group exuded 'bridal party energy' and danced to Far East Movement's 2010 club classic, 'Like a G6.'
George's bandmates Ross MacDonald and Adam Hann were reportedly in attendance for the wedding, whereas The 1975's frontman, Matty Healy, had to skip out on the festivities to attend the premiere of I Know What You Did Last Summer, which stars his fiancée and Charli's '360' muse, Gabbriette Bechtel.
While their nuptials remained pretty low-key, Charli and George's after-party brought on the brat-titude. According to The Sun, the reception took place at Italian restaurant Dalla before attendees made their way to Ellie's bar in Dalston.
'Charli's wedding reception was the epitome of Brat,' an insider told the outlet. 'Her and George wanted to keep it very cool, so they shunned cars and walked down Hackney High Street to get to Dalla. The restaurant had closed for them, and they had a massive family-style meal with loads of pasta and champagne. People walking past were stunned when they saw Charli and George having a cheeky pre-dinner cigarette outside.'
And, according to since-expired Instagram Stories posted by DJ Alex Chapman, the couple served skinny cigarettes on silver platters for their guests:
Charli revealed that she and George had the idea in mind during a 2024 appearance on the Anything Goes with Emma Chamberlain podcast. 'It's so fun,' she said of the wedding planning process, which she admitted made her and her now-husband 'crazy.'
'We're like, 'We're going to have this really epic, like, cigarette station!' and we're going to have people walking around with, like, silver trays of cigarettes,' she jokingly explained.
If ^^^ all of this is any indicator, Charli made a point when she said everything is romantic.

"I almost missed practice a couple times" - When Magic Johnson turned a Bel-Air mansion into his own basketball-disco paradise
"I almost missed practice a couple times" - When Magic Johnson turned a Bel-Air mansion into his own basketball-disco paradise originally appeared on Basketball Network. By the mid-1980s, Magic Johnson had already conquered just about everything worth conquering. Championships, Finals MVPs, endorsement deals, you name it. But even with all the on-court success and off-court fame, he was still living in a Culver City apartment, which didn't quite align with his superstar status in the Association. All of that changed when the Los Angeles Lakers icon finally found a home that matched his off-court persona and energy: a six-bedroom, Tudor-style estate tucked deep in the hills of Bel-Air. This wasn't about flexing his money, although it definitely had some of that as well; it was about finally finding the place he could call home, no matter how cheesy it might sound. From the moment Magic stepped foot inside, he knew the search for his place under the sun was over. "We started off with this one," Johnson said in 1985 via the LA Times. "I told him, 'I don't have to look anymore, George (his attorney). This is it.' All I had to see was one room (now his disco), the racquetball court and the bathtub. Where else am I really gonna be?" "I always wanted to own a home, but I wanted it to be different. I wanted a special place," Magic Man added. "Hey, I'm blessed. I never would have imagined this. The house I grew up in back home could probably fit into the gym (racquetball court), and your imagination can only go as far as what you've seen." So perfect that it felt like a dream for Johnson The house sits at the end of a winding road, with canyon walls on both sides and nothing but open green space stretching out behind it. It's quiet. No traffic, no noise, no distractions. Just a backyard with twin grills, a red-brick pool deck (in which Magic hadn't just yet jumped in) and a whole lot of open blue sky above the City of Angels. It was perfect for enjoying the little bit of time that an NBA player of his caliber has on his hands. However, that's the kind of setup that can easily break your daily routine, and, in Johnson's case, mess up with practice schedules. "I almost missed practice a couple times," the man who orchestrated the Showtime in LA said. "I'd be out here eating breakfast. I'd be daydreaming, just kind of in a trance, and then I'd look at my watch and see I was almost late for practice." In addition to all that, inside the house, Magic had transformed one of the rooms into a disco, complete with lights and a sound system, where he could unwind and throw a few moves when the mood struck. "I don't just like music, I love it," Johnson added. "When I saw this room, I said, 'Oh, man, I know what I want to do with this .' I spend an hour or two in here every day. This is where I live." Magic didn't stop after getting his mansion That Bel-Air mansion might've been Magic's first real taste of a settled life in Los Angeles, but he didn't settle for long. After moving in, Johnson added three more championship rings to his resume: one in 1985, another in 1987 and his final one in 1988. He finally received his first, well-deserved, MVP award and added two more for good measure. Magic Man also continued to elevate the Lakers dynasty alongside Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and James Worthy to make it one of the greatest dynasties in sports history. By the time the decade was over, so was the debate about where he stood among the game's greatest point guards. Johnson had redefined the position and the trophy case did all the talking for him. Even now, 40 years later, he's still the bar that every new floor general gets measured against. The man who used to nearly miss practice while eating breakfast next to the Bel-Air hills… And no matter how many properties he's owned since, that first one still feels like the place where Magic truly felt like story was originally reported by Basketball Network on Jul 18, 2025, where it first appeared.

Jennifer Love Hewitt Heartbreakingly Reveals She Doesn't Know if She ‘Ever Recovered' From This 2007 Paparazzi Moment
Jennifer Love Hewitt has been in the spotlight for decades; and heck, fans have practically grown up with her! We've seen her as a child actor turned teen 'it' girl into a beloved TV actor we can't get enough of. She's been seen as a sex symbol for so long, but recently, she's opened up about the dark side of that status, and how it gave her the one instance she felt insecure about herself. In a recent interview with Vulture, the I Know What You Did Last Summer star said, 'Before I even knew what sex was, I was a sex symbol. I still don't know that I have that fully defined for myself because it started so weird.' But along with grappling that, there was a popular 2007 cover story that hurt her: the one where we see her in a bikini with the caption reading 'Stop Calling Me Fat!' More from SheKnows Reese Witherspoon's Cutesy Pet Name for Her BF Shows This Romance Is Completely Different Than Others 'I was having the time of my life. I had made up the dumbest song about eating snacks and playing in the ocean, and I was singing it to my boyfriend out loud, doing some weird dance move, and they got the picture and then it was on the cover,' Hewitt remembered. 'I don't think I was ever really insecure until that cover.' She added, 'And then when it happened, I don't know that I've ever recovered from it. Because there's a part of me that's always like, 'Is this version going to be good enough, or is that going to happen again?' Where somebody's going to be like, 'Hey, this is her without makeup at the cleaners. She looks 59.' I think that's why the insecurity carried on. I don't know if I've even ever put that together for myself other than right now.' Hewitt has always been gorgeous, and we hate that she had to deal with such intrusive headlines throughout the years. But in recent years, she's learned to laugh off the criticism, especially from haters who claim she's changed her face or body. Back in 2022, Hewitt posted a beautiful no-filtered, no-makeup selfie on her Instagram. She captioned it, talking about all the criticism: 'I posted this pic earlier and have heard a lot of positive thoughts. It means so much to me because aging is weird. And growing up with you guys over 33 years has been amazing, but the filters of it all can be tricky.' She added, 'You can't help but want to look better or even perfect to keep up. They are so fun but they also can be really hard because you can forget to feel good about your real face. Maybe I just need to be better at the balance. Anyway, thanks for letting me share and feel good as just me today. Love to you all.' Haters can stay quiet, and we're happy to know Hewitt has continued to thrive, despite it all (including that 2007 cover shoot).Best of SheKnows Everything We Know About Carolyn Bessette's Life Before JFK JR 29 Times Gisele Bündchen's Red Carpet Fashion Proved She's the Ultimate Supermodel 68 Celebrities Who Share a Famous Ex Solve the daily Crossword
