Ajay Devgn's Raid 2 beats Singham Returns to become his 7th biggest hit
's latest action-drama
Raid 2
continues its steady run at the box office, and with its 18-day total now standing at Rs 143.38 crore (all languages), the film has officially surpassed the lifetime collection of
Singham Returns
. The Rohit Shetty-directed cop drama whihc also featured
Kareena Kapoor Khan
had closed its theatrical run at Rs 140.6 crore, a record it held since 2014.
Raid
2 has now become Ajay Devgn's seventh highest-grossing film of all time.
The film opened strong with Rs 19.25 crore on its first day and maintained a healthy weekend collection, crossing Rs 95.75 crore in its opening week. Despite a noticeable drop in weekday numbers, Raid 2 managed to hold on in its second weekend, adding another Rs 40.6 crore in Week 2. While the collections dipped during the third week, the film still pulled in Rs 3 crore on its third Friday and Rs 4 crore on its third Saturday, pushing it past the Singham Returns benchmark.
Now, Raid 2 is just under Rs 5 crore away from overtaking Shaitaan, which currently holds the sixth spot in Ajay Devgn's box office rankings with a lifetime total of Rs 148 crore. Considering the current pace and the absence of major Hindi new releases, trade experts believe Raid 2 stands a good chance of bridging this gap over the coming weekdays and its fourth weekend and going about Rs 150 crore mark.Though the release of Tim Cruise's Mission Impossible: THe FInal Reckoning and Final Destination: Bloodlines can have a major impact in the days to come as both films have opened to massive collections.
This success story further consolidates Ajay Devgn's position as one of Bollywood's most bankable stars in the action-thriller space. Directed by
Raj Kumar Gupta
, Raid 2 is the sequel to the 2018 hit Raid and sees Devgn reprising his role as IRS officer Amay Patnaik, the film also starred
Ritiesh Deshmukh
and
Vaani Kapoor
in leading roles.
As the film inches towards the Rs 150 crore mark, all eyes are on whether it can climb one more notch up the star's personal box office leaderboard. For now, Raid 2 has proven that even amidst evolving box office trends, Ajay Devgn's appeal with audiences remains rock solid.

The Traitors Winners: Uorfi Javed, Nikita Luther Beat Harsh, Take Home Rs 70 Lakh Prize
Last Updated: Uorfi Javed and Nikita Luther emerge victorious in Karan Johar's The Traitors, winning Rs 70.05 lakh after defeating Harsh Gujral in the finale. Karan Johar's reality show The Traitors finally crowned its winners – Uorfi Javed and Nikita Luther – who walked away with the prize money of Rs 70.05 lakh. The Amazon Prime Video show, which started with 20 celebrity contestants and influencers, ended with an intense finale where the duo beat comedian Harsh Gujral to clinch the title. Reality TV star Uorfi Javed and professional poker player Nikita Luther outwitted the last Traitor standing, Purav Jha, and sealed their spot as the ultimate 'innocents." While their victory came as a surprise to many, Uorfi believes it wasn't about being the smartest in the room but knowing when to act. 'It's not like only the smartest one can win the game," Uorfi told SCREEN. 'You have to use your brain at the right time. My survival instincts have been very strong. Till the end, I didn't feel I would win." She admitted being confused about identifying the traitors, adding, 'Harsh was recruited as a traitor just two days before the finale. Only when his behaviour changed did I get a little hint. Nikita and I had a long conversation where I realised she is innocent. We strategised at the very last moment." Together, Uorfi and Nikita formed an unlikely alliance that proved to be a winning combination — Uorfi's strong instincts and Nikita's sharp poker mind kept them under the radar throughout the game. However, fans were divided. A large section felt that Purav Jha, known for his honest gameplay and consistent presence, deserved the trophy. His unexpected elimination in the finale led to online chatter and disappointment. Earlier hints of Uorfi's win had surfaced online when contestant Apoorva Mukhija dropped cryptic clues. The buzz only intensified when a social media post from BollywoodSpy007 read, 'Innocents win Traitors." The Traitors, which was hosted by Karan Johar, featured an impressive ensemble — Karan Kundrra, Raj Kundra, Raftaar, Jasmine Bhasin, Anshula Kapoor, Maheep Kapoor, Jannat Zubair, and Sudhanshu Pandey, among others. On the work front, Uorfi is now focused on her entrepreneurial ventures and has revealed she is considering marriage soon. First Published: July 03, 2025, 22:38 IST
