Clueless, liability: Prasidh Krishna slammed after horrendous Edgbaston spell
Indian cricket team fans were left fuming at Prasidh Krishna and slammed the Indian pacer for his forgettable spell during on Day 3 of the ongoing Edgbaston Test on Friday, July 4. Prasidh once again went with an economy of more than six after his horrible outing in the first Test. The pacer's tactic of using the short ball hasn't worked out during the series and it continued on Friday as he was leaking runs. advertisementPrasidh conceded 220 runs in 35 overs and finished with an economy rate of 6.2 during the first Test and came under a lot of criticism for his poor control of the ball and giving away far too many freebies for the England batters. The pacer, before the second Test, said that it was his responsibility to get better. "I had a few conversations with a few of them about this game. I definitely would want to bring that [economy] down to whatever best I can do, and yeah, I think I'm learning as well, I can't say anything, it's up to me, it's my responsibility to get better, and that's what I'm trying, that's what I'm working on, and I just want to make sure I put in the right kind of work and come back here and put up better numbers," said Prasidh. ENG vs IND 2nd Test Day 3 UpdatesHowever, that improvement wasn't on display during the Day 3 of the Edgbaston Test. As of now, Prasidh has bowled eight overs and conceded 61 runs at an economy rate over seven and not taking a single wicket. In one of his overs, Jamie Smith cashed in and blasted him for 23 runs, which included four boundaries and a six as the pacer kept banging it short. This allowed England to gain momentum after losing Joe Root and Ben Stokes early. The fans didn't spare Prasidh on social media, with some calling him a liability and saying he was clueless. Some wondered how he was able to make it to the Test cricket level with such poor tactics. You can see some of the reactions below:Fans slam Prasidh Krishna - EndsTune InMust Watch
