After two seasons filled with injuries and lackluster play, Bradley Beal is close to a major separation from the Phoenix Suns. Behind the scenes, both sides are negotiating a deal that will alter the team's salary cap situation—while fans are left guessing what will happen next.
With over $110 million still owed on his contract and various playoff teams eyeing him, this is more than just a simple trade—it marks a crucial juncture for Beal's career and the Suns' future.
The unseen deal that could shift Phoenix's entire offseason strategy
Word on the street is that the Phoenix Suns and Bradley Beal are on the verge of wrapping up a buyout for his remaining $110.8 million over the next two seasons. Beal is likely to give up at least $14 million to make this deal happen. If he does, it would be a groundbreaking move—far beyond anything we've seen in previous NBA buyouts.
Phoenix is on the verge of falling below the second luxury-tax apron, a point that would allow them to fully utilize the Mid-Level Exception (MLE) and steer clear of severe tax penalties. For the Suns, the benefits go beyond just finances—it's a tactical decision. They'll have the ability to bring in more talent to surround Devin Booker and gather draft assets. For Beal, it means a smooth exit and a chance to showcase himself without a burdensome contract looming over him.

Beal's arrival in the summer of 2023 came with huge expectations. He was set to join forces with Kevin Durant and Devin Booker to build the next West Coast superteam. However, the results didn't match the hype—Beal averaged just 17.6 PPG over two seasons, dealt with injuries, and missed more than 60 games each year. The Suns didn't make it past the first round and fell to 11th in the West in 2024–25, which called for a total rethink.
Now that Durant was traded in June and Beal is about to follow, Phoenix is basically closing the book on this chapter before it becomes a drawn-out tale of cap problems. While Beal considers paying $14 million to leave, he's got plenty of suitors. Reports say at least five teams are interested: the Milwaukee Bucks, Los Angeles Clippers, Miami Heat, Los Angeles Lakers, and Denver Nuggets, all ready to provide him with a new platform.
Teams are aiming to sign him at a low cost—probably significantly below his previous salary—and refresh their bench or wing rotation. Beal's numbers for 2024–25 were pretty good: 17.0 PPG, 3.3 RPG, 3.7 APG, with strong shooting stats (49.7% FG, 38.6% 3P).

With free agency on the horizon and teams eyeing their options, this low-key split could send waves throughout the league. Get ready: as soon as Beal becomes unrestricted, the offseason excitement will really take off.

Jonathan Kuminga draws sign-and-trade interest from Phoenix Suns and Sacramento Kings, delays Golden State Warriors deal

Jonathan Kuminga is confused about his next move (Image via Instagram / @jonathan_kuminga) One of the most talked-about topics in the NBA in recent days is Golden State Warriors forward Jonathan Kuminga's upcoming summer move. Since he is a restricted free agent this summer, the team still has control over his future. However, he is now reportedly being pursued by several teams. According to reports, the Golden State Warriors have received "concrete" trade proposals for Jonathan Kuminga from the Phoenix Suns and Sacramento Kings. The news was first made public by ESPN insider Shams Charania. Jonathan Kuminga seeks bigger role amid interest from Phoenix Suns and Sacramento Kings ESPN's Shams Charania reported that Jonathan Kuminga is allegedly turning down offers from the Golden State Warriors. He added that the two teams vying for him at the moment are the Phoenix Suns and the Sacramento Kings. Over the past week, the Golden State Warriors have reportedly received formal sign-and-trade offers from both teams. About the same, the ESPN insider then said in an interview: 'I'm told the Phoenix Suns and the Sacramento Kings are two teams that have made concrete offers to the Warriors over the last week or so. They're two of the most aggressive teams…' He continued: 'He did tell me though that he is in absolutely no rush on doing a deal with the Warriors right now and he is not accepting their current offers.. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 11 Harry Potter Actors Who Grew Up Stunningly. Additionally, reportedly, the Phoenix Suns and the Sacramento Kings are the clubs making the offer since they have the potential to provide Jonathan Kuminga a starting position. This is something Charania stated that "he wants more than anything." Shams Charania further noted that the Golden State Warriors are not considering the offers made in sign-and-trades thus far. Unfortunately for the NBA player, the only way he is likely to leave Golden State this offseason is through a sign-and-trade. Jonathan Kuminga in action (Image via Instagram / @jonathan_kuminga) Being a restricted free agent, he now has three choices: sign an offer sheet with a rival team, play for the Golden State Warriors on a qualifying offer worth $7.9 million next season, or re-sign with the team on a new contract. The team has two options if Jonathan Kuminga signs an offer sheet from a rival team: match the offer sheet or let the gifted swingman to depart and negotiate a sign-and-trade. Meanwhile, he is now delaying his decision in favor of a bigger position, either with his previous team or somewhere else. ENG vs IND: Ravindra Jadeja aims for Gary Sobers' historic Test double in England

Ravindra Jadeja is on the brink of a historic achievement in his Test career. The all-rounder is poised to become the second visiting cricketer - and the first Indian - to score 1,000 Test runs and take 30 or more wickets in legendary Garry Sobers is currently the only player to have reached this landmark, amassing 1,820 runs and 30 wickets in 21 Tests on English who has 988 runs and 30 wickets from 16 Tests in England, needs just 12 more runs to join Sobers in this elite club. He will have the opportunity to do so on Day 2 of the fourth Test at Old Trafford, Manchester. Among English players, the 1,000 runs/30 wickets milestone has been achieved by Stuart Broad, Ian Botham, Chris Woakes, Ben Stokes, Moeen Ali, Andrew Flintoff, Richard Illingworth, Trevor Bailey, Tony Greig, Basil D'Oliveira, Ted Dexter, and Frank stumps on Day 1, Jadeja was unbeaten on 19 off 37 balls, with India reaching 264 for 4 in 83 all-rounders for India in Tests in England Ravindra Jadeja: Matches 16, Runs - 988, Wickets - 30 Kapil Dev: Matches 13, Runs - 638, Wickets - 43Vinoo Mankad: Matches 6, Runs - 395, Wickets - 20Ravi Shastri: Matches 9, Runs - 503, Wickets - 11Balwinder Singh Sandhu slams Jadeja Ravindra Jadeja has been impressive with the bat for India, but came under criticism after the team's 22-run loss in the Lord's Test. Despite scoring an unbeaten 61 in the second innings, he couldn't guide India to victory. 1983 World Cup winner Balwinder Singh Sandhu remarked that Jadeja could have shown more faith in the tailenders.'Coming to the final moments, Ravindra Jadeja is someone I've known since his U-19 days at the National Cricket Academy. Even back then, he showed maturity beyond his age. He's a smart cricketer, calm under pressure, but this time, maybe the fear of failing, or the pressure of not trusting the tail, got the better of him,' Sandhu wrote in his column for Mid-Day.'If only he had trusted Jasprit Bumrah a bit more, especially when Bumrah was defending so well, and resisted taking that single off the fourth ball to retain strike. Had he backed himself to finish it in those last two balls, with the field up, it was a perfect moment to go for the boundary,' Sandhu added. On Day 2 in Manchester, India will be hoping for a big knock from Jadeja to help them post a formidable first-innings total.- EndsMust Watch
