Zack Tabudlo, Ben&Ben twins Paolo and Miguel to join 'The Voice Kids PH' as new coaches
"The Voice Kids Philippines" is returning soon, and it will introduce not one but three new coaches in its next season! According to Aubrey Carampel's report in "24 Oras" Thursday, the new coaches are former "The Voice Kids Philippines" contestant himself, Zack Tabudlo, and Ben&Ben twins Paolo and Miguel Benjamin Guico. Per Zack, he could not help but feel nostalgic now that he's coming in as a coach. "It throws me back talaga when I was young kasi I've told this to the coaches as well. I guess out of all the coaches that have gone in 'The Voice,' I feel like I can be the one who can really justify the feelings of these kids and what they actually went through," the OPM star said. Meanwhile, Paolo and Miguel will be the show's first-ever duo to be part of the coaching panel. They will share a single chair and must decide as one. "Siyempre isa lang 'yung button e, 'di naman dalawa at paano kaya mangyayari kung napindot mo tapos ayaw ko pala? " said Miguel "E di pipindutin ulit para bumalik, quipped Paolo. On the other hand, Julie Anne San Jose and Billy Crawford are returning as coaches in the show. "Kahit na ngayon lang kami nagkatraba-trabaho parang nag-gel kami agad, so once na mapanood ninyo 'yung episodes siyempre mawawala ba 'yung bardagulan, agawan, asaran?" said Julie Anne. Billy jokingly said that he should not have gotten Zack as a mentor last season, adding that the next season will be unforgettable. "It's a pleasure for me na kasama ko si Zach and Pao and Migs and also Jules as well. It's always a — I look forward to having new connections every time and nakaka-inspire," shared Billy. Production for the next season of "The Voice Kids Philippines" is now underway and will air on GMA Network soon! The last edition of "The Voice Kids Philippines" held its grand finals back in December 2024, with Nevin Adam Garceniego under Coach Pablo of SB19 emerging as the grand champion. Julie Anne, Billy, and SB19's Stell and Pablo served as the show's coaches last time.

Jillian Ward, David Licauco undergo training for physically demanding roles in ‘Never Say Die'
Jillian Ward and David Licauco are taking extensive training for their upcoming roles in 'Never Say Die,' which are more mature and physically demanding. According to Aubrey Carampel's report in '24 Oras' Thursday, the series marks their first team-up for a project. 'Nakapag-train na po ako paano humawak ng baril properly, paano po 'yung footwork kapag may fight scenes, gan'yan,' Jillian said. 'Right after GMA Gala, the following day, meron akong training ng arnis. Siyempre 'yung pag-g-gym, isa na 'yun. Pangalawa 'yung nagba-boxing ako ulit,' David said. 'Never Say Die' will also star Kim Ji Soo, Raheel Bhyria, Richard Yap, Gina Alajar, Raymart Santiago, Angelu De Leon, Wendell Ramos, Ayen Munji-Laurel, Analyn Barro, Tanjo Villoso, and Michelle Dee. 'People will hate me, but that's the reaction that I would like to get because this is something that is different from what I usually play,' Richard said. 'Best friend ko siya diyan, ako 'yung emotional anchor niya though tinatago ko lang 'yung feelings ko sa kaniya through humor and loyalty,' Raheel said of his character. Ji Soo also said that it feels good to work with Jillian again. 'Especially we're already close so it's very familiar so it's good to work with them, also David,' he said. The cast has already conducted script readings with Director Dominic Zapata. While Jillian admitted to feeling a bit nervous, she is ready to embrace her more mature role. David is also prepared to take on this challenging new role even if he's not used to not having the other half of the BarDa love team, Barbie Forteza. 'To be honest, itong teleserye na 'to, hindi ako sanay na wala si Barbie. The past three teleseryes ko, lagi kong kasama si Barbie, si Dennis [Trillo]. 'Yun 'yung naging comfort zone ko eh. It will be a challenge for me, definitely,' he said. Jillian recently starred in "My Ilonggo Girl" and appeared in "Mga Batang Riles," while David starred in "Pulang Araw" and also has a guest appearance in "Beauty Empire." —Carby Rose Basina/CDC, GMA Integrated News

Alden Richards' pilot dreams now officially under way
Capt. Richard Faulkerson Jr. sure has a nice ring to it. Beyond his acclaimed talent and wide-ranging appeal, award-winning actor Alden Richards has always had a childhood dream of becoming a pilot– a journey now set in full motion as the 'Asia's Multimedia Star' recently announced his 'Day 1' in flight school. On Wednesday, July 30, Alden posted on Instagram photos of himself in classic student pilot uniform together with his family, with the caption 'Day 1 starts today…' According to Nelson Canlas' report on '24 Oras,' Alden officially kicked off this lifelong dream by attending the induction ceremony at his Clark, Pampanga-based aviation school. "I've always been so curious paano lumilipad ng ganung kalaki at kabigat na sasakyang panghimpapawid tapos of course how it's being navigated sa langit from point A to point B. Paano nakakarating, paano nag-t-take off," Alden shared in an interview. He also talked about how the pursuit of this career path– a total deviation from his showbiz background– is not only a personal objective, but one that he shares with his family, particularly his father. "Since nagkaroon ako ng isip sa mundo parang meron akong core objective to fulfill my parents' dreams na hindi nila natupad in their lifetime," he said, "and surprisingly, kagaya ng showbiz para sa nanay ko, for me, ito naman dream ni dad for himself and eventually nagustuhan ko na rin." GMA Integrated News also tagged along as Alden went through his first full day in school, from the classroom to the hangar and even the runway. Alden also hopped on a flight simulator where he experienced simulations of real-life situations in maneuvering an aircraft, from take-off all the way to its landing. Asked about how this fits his busy schedule, Alden sounded positive and said it's all about time management. 'There is no such thing as a busy schedule when you make time and you have time management. Time management is key. Definitely this year [is] for ground school, then tuloy-tuloy na 'to, this is a two-year course…,' he said. This marks a significant shift in Alden's personal growth, and a soon-to-be accomplishment of a core objective. For now, Cadet Richard Faulkerson Jr., flight school student and aspiring pilot, sounds just as good. (With reports from GMA News Online)
