A major controversy erupted online as a UK man walked into an Iskcon restaurant in London, filming himself eating KFC chicken after challenging the staff about it being a 'vegan restaurant.'
In the video, a Black man can be seen entering Govinda's restaurant, holding a food packet.
He then approaches the food counter and asks the two women behind it if it is a vegan restaurant.
'No meat, no onion, no garlic,' one replies.

'Are you sure there is no meat?' he presses.
The women reaffirm and gesture to a sign outside clearly indicating it's a vegetarian restaurant.
The man then reveals a KFC fried chicken basket, sets it on the counter, and begins eating a chicken leg.
One of the women inquires about it, quickly realising it's meat.
She asks him to leave, while the other employee seeks assistance.
Unfazed, the man continues eating the chicken leg. 'You want some?' he offers, holding out the half-eaten piece to the shocked staff member.
He then approaches another employee, who repeats that they don't serve meat, as he dangles the chicken from his mouth, offering it again.
A customer intervenes, saying, 'Excuse me, you are violating someone's religious practices. That's not fair,' prompting the man to shout, 'Free the chicken!' before leaving the restaurant.
An African boy entered ISKCON's Govinda restaurant and confirmed if it is a vegetarian restaurant.
He then took out his KFC Chicken and started eating it and offered them to other people to mock them.
Totally expecting more of this from Sadiq Khan's London. Hate for Hindus in… pic.twitter.com/TD9mMGZcSV — Incognito (@Incognito_qfs) July 20, 2025

The video triggered widespread anger among Indians online. 'Total nightmare for the people inside. What should we call this? Racism or pure Hindu Hate?' read the caption.
Many called for the restaurant to file a police complaint, while others criticised the man for deliberately provoking the staff.
'The intentional violation of a cultural and religious norm in this manner is a clear demonstration of intolerance,' one user commented.
Another questioned, 'Apart from horrendous, what is he trying to do and why? Is he offended that people can be vegetarian? Or are people waiting to use or misuse someone who doesn't know what they're doing?'
A third user condemned his 'filthy and sick mindset,' stating, 'He achieved nothing by harassing people! Zero achievement but created nuisance.'

'Embarassing behaviour'UK screening fiasco lands T'wood's Fan culture in A big mess
Cineworld halted a Pawan Kalyan film screening in the UK after unruly fan behavior involving confetti throwing. This incident, along with others, prompted the MEA to advise Indian citizens abroad to respect local laws. What Happened A video clip showing staff at the UK theatre chain Cineworld halting a screening of Pawan Kalyan's Hari Hara Veera Mallu after sections of the audience threw confetti has put the spotlight on unruly Tollywood fan behaviour abroad. The screening was paused as staff addressed the disruption, prompting some moviegoers to argue that no prior notice had been displayed prohibiting such celebrations. However, the staff called it out for what it was: 'a lack of common sense' and the backlash was instant. MEA's advisory for Indians overseas to follow local laws The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) recently issued an advisory urging Indian citizens residing abroad to respect local laws and 'create a good image' of themselves and the country. Who Is A Shantnu And Nikhil Man? "A Mix Of Shiv And Shakti," Designers Tell NDTV
Day five of the Hyundai India Couture Week 2025 saw Indian designers Shantnu Mehra and Nikhil Mehra unveil "Metropolis" - a collection that aims at rewriting the codes of Indian menswear. Through the collection, the designer duo is not just crafting heritage but a revolution - and this time it's wearing pinstripes and pearls. Shantnu Nikhil's latest collection was all about redefining the modern Indian man. With sharp military tailoring fused with fluid drapes, pearl-embellished accents on structured suits, and overcoat sherwanis that walked a razor-sharp line between tradition and rebellion, "Metropolis" emerged as a manifesto. View this post on Instagram A post shared by FDCI (@fdciofficial) In an exclusive conversation with NDTV, brothers Shantnu and Nikhil Mehra opened up about their clothing line, pulling back the curtain on their vision of the modern Indian man draped in "rebellious" couture. Defining a Shantnu Nikhil man, Nikhil Mehra says he is someone who is "a beautiful mix of Shiva and Shakti". Shantnu Mehra added, "A Shantnu Nikhil man is someone who doesn't use heritage as homage, but as a weapon. He wears tradition, but also wears command. It's a bit of structured rebellion, and that's what a Shantnu Nikhil man is about." The collection "Metropolis" is set in an imagined city where nostalgia brushes up against the future, and builds a new code for menswear. Shantnu Mehra told NDTV that the couture collection is about "the way the world is shifting and the cultures are coming closer. The fact that it is called 'Metropolis' - it is a magical city where everyone becomes inclusive, and that's what rebellion is about." When asked about the uniformity in their collections that puts nation pride first, designer Nikhil Mehra said, "When you talk about nation pride, the values of valour and regalia - we have a dhoti inspired by the Gandhi dhoti. It is the new pair of trousers for Indians. It has come from our history and heritage, but it's contemporary because we have used leather-based sequins that have brought a little bit of shine to it. We are changing the narrative, unshackling traditionalism." View this post on Instagram A post shared by Shantnu Nikhil (@shantanunikhil) From their critically acclaimed 2020 collection "The Resurgence" that was a nod to post-pandemic resilience to their latest couture collection which is about "structured rebellion", the designers have tried to make their clothing line about evolution since 2005. When asked about the one couture element in their latest clothing line, Nikhil Mehra told NDTV, "We need to reimagine couture in India. The landscape in India is focused on silhouettes, sartorial cuts, and pattern making. If you give a man the right fit of a trouser and a jacket, he is yours forever, and that goes for both genders. Our designs are gender fluid. It's a statement not just for India but a boundaryless human."
