Andhra Pradesh bets big on clean energy, targets 72 giga watts by 2029

Referring to the Integrated Clean Energy Policy, launched in October 2024, he said it serves as a 'blueprint for India's green revolution.' He praised Naidu's long-term planning, stating, 'Sri Nara Chandrababu Naidu Garu is not merely building roads and infrastructure; he is building highways to the future.''Andhra Pradesh is not just adapting to change — it is driving and creating it,' Lokesh added.

Balaramapuram road widening: Compensation disbursement to landowners likely this month
Thiruvananthapuram: Disbursement of compensation to 52 landowners affected by Kodinada-Vazhimukku road widening project is finally expected to commence this month after the district collector's office submits the finalised beneficiary list. Though state govt approved the package weeks ago, procedural delays in compiling the final list stalled the release of funds by the finance department. Parassala MLA C K Hareendran, overseeing the land acquisition, expressed confidence that the delay would be resolved swiftly. "There will not be any more delay. It's true there was some delay in handing over the list. The district collector is in New Delhi now. Once she returns, the list will be handed over and the compensation will be released," he said. The Rs 104-crore compensation, sanctioned by KIIFB, covers land acquisition and structure valuation. This is besides Rs 102.4 crore approved in June, raising the total compensation pool to approximately Rs 200 crore, including Rs 160 crore for land and Rs 40 crore for structures. Land acquisition efforts remained active despite the delay.
