Tennessee Titans' best moments: When Keith Bulluck called himself 'Mr. Monday Night'

Pro Football Reference's NFL nickname database is severely lacking.
For example: Not a single player from the 2007 Tennessee Titans is listed as having a nickname. Not one. And we know that's phooey.
David Stewart was 'Big Country.' LenDale White, at differing points in his career, was known as both 'Thunder' and 'Smash.' Vince Young pretty famously got called 'V.Y.' all the time. Kyle Vanden Bosch earned the nickname 'Wild Man' later in his career.
And Keith Bulluck, of course, was 'Mr. Monday Night.'
Sept. 24, 2007.
Titans vs. Saints.
'Monday Night Football.' And it's the game where No. 20 on The Tennessean's top Tennessee Titans moments landed.
The Titans' defense has future Hall of Fame quarterback Drew Brees in hell. He turns the ball over five times, tied for the most in any game in his fabled career. Bulluck, who made headlines by decreeing himself 'Mr. Monday Night' prior to the game, lived up to his own declaration, intercepting Brees three times in the Titans' 31-14 win.
Bulluck played 170 games in his NFL career, logging 21 interceptions and 72 passes defensed along the way. Only 15 of those games were on Monday night, but six of his picks and 12 of his PDs came in those games. That means 29% of his career interceptions and 17% of his breakups came in just 9% of his games.
The moniker surely fits.

When Bulluck was inducted into the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame in 2023, he said he likes to think of his Titans tenure as three phases. Early on, he watched and learned from leaders like Eddie George and Steve McNair. In the middle years, he asserted himself as the prime voice in the locker room. And in the last stage, he got hurt, and the Titans moved on.
His three-interception game against the Saints was the pinnacle of Phase 2 of his career and is the prime argument for considering Bulluck as potentially the best Titans player ever. It's a little low on this countdown because none of the individual plays stand out as a dazzling moment. But taken as a whole, the achievement is undeniable.
