Lauren Goodger's ex Charles Drury breaks his silence on if he'd ever get back together with the TOWIE star after pair sparked reunion rumours
Lauren, 38, shares daughter Larose, three, with Charles and tragically gave birth to their stillborn daughter Lorena in 2022 after she was born with her umbilical cord wrapped around her neck.
Earlier this year Charles and Lauren sparked rumours they had got back together with a series of outings.
But now Charles has appeared to set the record straight posting an update to his social media over the weekend.
In a cryptic post on Instagram he said: 'In an ideal world it would've worked out but in a realistic world it never will...'.
Charles didn't mention Lauren by name but isn't believed to be romantically involved with anyone else.
Back in March Lauren enjoyed a dinner with her ex Charles and their daughter Larose as she took to Instagram to share a picture.
Prior to that she had sparked rumours they had reunited after spending time together at the zoo and joining on a live TikTok.
Fueling the speculation, Lauren and Charles headed out for dinner with her TOWIE co-stars Junaid Ahmed and Joe Blackman.
On the day of Lorena's funeral, Charles was accused of attacking Lauren and they split soon after.
Charles was then charged with assault and engaging in controlling or coercive behaviour towards Lauren, which he has denied.
The case was dropped after Lauren withdrew her support for the case, which resulted in a not guilty verdict.
Elsewhere, during their on-off relationship things weren't smooth sailing for the couple and Charles was also accused of cheating.
Lauren recently admitted that she thinks she has 'ruined her looks' with plastic surgery.
Earlier this year the TOWIE star, who shot to fame on the show when it first aired in 2010, revealed her plans to have her breast and bum implants removed this year.
And speaking to The Sun last Tuesday, Lauren admitted the surgery she has undergone has left her thinking her body looks 'abnormal'.
Lauren said she thinks her 'massive boobs and bum' have made her look bigger than she actually is and shared her plans to look like her old self again.
The reality star expressed regret about getting the work done and insisted she plans to have all of it removed or reversed.
Lauren said: 'I've ruined my looks with surgery - I hate my fake boobs and bum now.
'I feel like my body looks abnormal - I don't need these massive boobs and massive bum.
She added: 'When I look at myself naked in the mirror, all I see is lumps and bumps everywhere.'
In May, Lauren revealed she is having her 'heavy' breast implants removed and can't wait to go back to a 'natural look '.
She admitted her breast were 'perfect' before although now they simply 'make her look big' while opening up about her breast-reduction journey on Instagram on Monday.
The reality star shared on her Instagram page a snap posing in a sheer dusty pink baby doll, showing off her very ample assets.
She wrote in the lengthy caption: '11 years ago I had a breast augmentation, one of the things I regret later in life.
'I had the perfect boobs .. they have been great over the years but since being a mum and breastfeeding for 1 year they have now changed and I've always found they make me look bigger!
'Also they are heavy and I don't like the idea of an implant being in me all these years and I miss my old boob so much.. so after looking around I've found someone that I feel really keen with having my consultation with @marksolomos.
'This is a HUGE step for me I've wanted to have them removed for so long but suffering with serve anxiety surgery is the last thing I can do !

Lauren finished: 'So it's early stages but I am bringing you a long with me!
'I'm terrified but also for health reasons I'm having implants removed and bring back more to my normal self wanting to reverse everything back to natural.'
In March, Lauren shared a huge plastic surgery U-turn on finally having her implants removed after previously fearing death if she went under the knife again.
She delayed getting her breast and Brazilian bum lift removed because she hated the thought of leaving her daughter Larose behind should anything go wrong.

Iron Maiden remembers original vocalist as ‘good mate' after death at 69
Paul Mario Day, the original frontman of heavy metal band Iron Maiden, has died at the age of 69. His death was confirmed by the band More, whom he also fronted, stating he passed away peacefully at his home in Newcastle, Australia, on Tuesday. Day became Iron Maiden's first vocalist in December 1975, performing their inaugural gig in May 1976 before leaving the band less than a year later. Throughout his career, Day also fronted other notable bands including More, Wildfire, and a reformed version of the glam rock band Sweet in 1985. Tributes have been paid by Iron Maiden, More, and Sweet's Andy Scott, all acknowledging his significant contribution to British music.

Theatre school founder and ‘true visionary' Sylvia Young dies aged 86
Sylvia Young – the founder of a theatre school which taught the likes of singer Amy Winehouse, EastEnders actor Adam Woodyatt and James Bond star Lashana Lynch – has been hailed as a 'true visionary' after she died aged 86. Her daughters Alison and Frances Ruffelle said it was with 'great sadness' that they confirmed the death of their mother – who 'passed away peacefully' on Wednesday, in a statement posted on the Sylvia Young Agency Instagram account. Their statement read: 'Our mum was a true visionary, she gave young people from all walks of life the chance to pursue their performing arts skills to the highest standard. 'Her rare ability to recognise raw talent and encourage all her students contributed to the richness of today's theatre and music world, even winning herself an Olivier Award along the way. 'She believed hard work with a bit of luck brought success, and she was an example of that herself. She leaves as her legacy a wealth of brilliant performers, a thriving school bearing her name, and a priceless place in the nation's heart.' The Sylvia Young Theatre School, which was established in 1972 offering full-time and part-time courses, produced a wide range of stars from singers such as Dua Lipa and Rita Ora, to actors such as Doctor Who's Billie Piper and Nosferatu's Nicholas Hoult. Young's daughters added: 'Above all she leaves the memory of an East End girl who worked hard to achieve her goals, took hold of life, and lived it to the full. 'Her family were everything to her, her wonderful husband, our dad, Norman and her grandchildren Eliza, Nat, Felix and Coral plus her great grandson Rex. 'We share her love with her wide and inclusive family, her friends, her students. You all meant the world to her. 'We will miss her so very much.' McFly star Tom Fletcher met his wife, podcaster and presenter Giovanna Fletcher, at the school, which they attended from the age of 13, with Young attending their wedding. In a tribute, Giovanna posted on Instagram: 'My life would not be what it is without Sylvia Young. 'I remember watching Sylvia on Live And Kicking when I was 12 years old, she was talking about her school and all the fun they had there. 'I phoned up for a brochure and applied for a scholarship without telling my mum and dad, I didn't get the scholarship, but I got a place with a 'deal' attached because Sylvia wanted me there – something I quickly learned the majority of the 140 students had.' She continued: 'I loved sitting in Sylvia's office and watching her work. 'She was meticulous, she knew what every child was up to and how to get the best out of everyone, she was devoted to helping her kids and I know how much she cared for each of us. Sometimes she cared when others didn't – helping some incredible talent flourish in the process. 'No-one ever wanted to upset Sylvia and that's not because she would get angry and shout, quite the opposite, Sylvia's disapproval was enough – because we all knew how lucky we were to be at that school, doing what we loved. We all wanted to impress her, and that never stopped.' In a comment on Young's daughters' social media post, actress Bonnie Langford added: 'Such sad news, Sylvia was such an inspiring, kind and generous person. 'She made a difference to so many and will be missed by so many, love to all the family and all those who she made feel were her family. Heartfelt condolences to you Frances and Alison and to Stephen and all the team.' Radio presenter Tony Blackburn, who was a friend of Young, also paid tribute in a post on X. He said: 'So sorry to hear Sylvia Young has passed away, she founded the Sylvia Young Theatre School which has been responsible for starting so many careers in TV and Theatre. 'She was a very lovely lady who I have had the privilege of knowing for many years. She will be sadly missed.' Young was the subject of an episode of This Is Your Life in 1998, and was appointed an Officer Of The Order Of The British Empire (OBE) in 2005 for her services to the arts. She married Norman Ruffelle in London in 1961, and is the grandmother of singer Eliza Doolittle.
