Kareem El-Adl has carved out a significant place for himself in the industry with films that achieved box office success and won awards, as well as television series that topped streaming platform charts and mesmerized audiences.
He began his career at the age of 15 as an assistant director, working with top names in the industry, before enrolling in the High Institute for Cinema.
In 2010, at the age of 24, El-Adl made his directorial debut with WALAD W BENT, starring Ahmed Dawood, marking him as one of the youngest directors in Egypt at that time.
Two years later, he directed MESAWAR QATEEL, a film written by Amr Salama, featuring actors Ahmed Fahmy and Dorra Zarrouk.
The film received three awards from the Catholic Center Cinema Festival, including a Jury Award, Best Soundtrack, and Best Set Design. It also won Best Screenplay and Best Actor (Ahmed Fahmy) at Morocco's Khouribga International African Film Festival and was nominated for Best Cinematography at the 35th Cairo International Film Festival.
His filmography also includes the laugh-out-loud comedy EL AMIL SIFR, starring Akram Hosny, Asma Abulyazeid, and Fatima Al Banawi. Lauded with praise by audiences at the time of its release, the film is now screening on Netflix, ranking fourth among the most viewed films in Egypt.
On the television side, El-Adl worked on numerous TV series, including two of the most successful of Ramadan in 2017; RAYYAH EL MADAME, featuring Ahmed Fahmy, Akram Hosny, and Mai Omar; and part two of ANA EL KHAEN, starring Yasmin Raeis and Ahmed Fahmy. He has also worked with superstar Haifa Wehbe on ASWAD FATEH, as well as the hit 2023 Shahid series AZMAT MONTASAF AL OMR, starring Karim Fahmy and Riham Abdel Ghafour.
Looking ahead, El-Adl is currently cooking up a few projects yet in the works, including the Cedars Art-produced series 220 YOUM, starring Saba Mubarak and Karim Fahmy.

El Fishawy also revealed an artistic documentation project, through which he aims to digitize the works of Egyptian artists and preserve them in a secured electronic archive using modern technologies, a step he described as "necessary to preserve the Egyptian artistic heritage and make it available to future generations."
