Maria McAneny named February SWPL Player of the Month

The month of February has proved to be an impressive one for Celtic FC Women midfielder Maria McAneny, who has landed a personal double after winning SWPL Player of the Month for February.
The Hoops Academy graduate was voted Player of the Month, after netting three goals in two league appearances.
Having scored a double in the ay Tannadice, the 20-year-old followed that up with a superb strike in the 2-2 draw with Glasgow City.
That goal at Petershill Park was also voted as the SWPL Goal of the Month for February, which has seen McAneny land two individual accolades for the month.
The midfielder has enjoyed a strong season, scoring 12 times so far, including nine strikes in the league.
And with three of those coming last month, she has now collected the award for her performances in February.
