Jasprit Bumrah threat? Jamie Smith reveals why he attacked Jadeja in Leeds Test

With the victory, England took a 1-0 lead in the five-match runs at that point (when Smith decided to go after Jadeja) were not too many, so I wasn't expecting him (Bumrah) to come on and bowl (with the new ball), but you're just never quite sure, especially in cricket," Smith was quoted as saying on ESPNcricinfo. "You don't know what will happen. I always back our tail, but there could be a couple of decent balls, and suddenly you're eight-down and the pressure's back on you again. It was nice to just get it done and move on.''Calculated risk'Smith played a vital role in England's victory with scores of 40 and an unbeaten 44. Rishabh Pant One Century Away From Breaking Major Record Held By Kohli Vs England

Last Updated: Rishabh Pant is all set to break Virat Kohli's record in the Edgbaston Test. India's Test vice-captain Rishabh Pant is on the verge of breaking a massive record held by ace batter Virat Kohli in the Edgbaston Test. Having lost the first Test despite scoring twin hundreds, Pant will be looking to play his role and take India to a win at Edgbaston. Kohli has the second-highest number of hundreds for India against England in Tests, at five. Pant has struck five Test hundreds against the Englishmen as well. If India's Test vice-captain Pant scored another hundred at Edgbaston, he would overtake Kohli and join Mohammed Azharuddin in the most hundreds for India in Tests against England. Meanwhile, not just Pant, but skipper Shubman Gill is also approaching a major milestone held by Kohli. If Gill slams another hundred, he will register the joint-most number of hundreds as an Indian skipper on English soil, at two. Kohli and Azharuddin hold the first place, having struck two centuries each in England. Meanwhile, Pant's doctor, Dinesh Pardiwala, has revealed how the star batter recovered from a career-threatening injury and made a massive comeback into the Indian team. Pant, while driving from Delhi to his hometown, Roorkee, on December 30, 2022 lost control of his car, which crashed into a divider and caused him severe injuries. The fighter in Pant endured 635 days of recovery, rehab, several surgeries and extensive physiotherapy to make a triumphant return to professional cricket, a fight-back which has become one of the most heartwarming stories in sports. The orthopaedic surgeon performed a four-hour surgery on January 6, 2023, on Pant's right knee, reconstructing three ligaments and repairing tendons and meniscus. Pant began to drink water without assistance gradually and then managed to walk without crutches after four months. But the surgeon was sceptical about him being able to play cricket again. But Pant was determined to get back onto the field and began setting timelines for himself. 'When he first came in, he had a dislocated right knee. He also had an injury to his right ankle, lots of other minor injuries all over. He had a lot of skin loss, so his entire skin from the nape of the neck down to his knees was completely scraped off in the process of that accident," Pardiwala said while speaking to The Telegraph. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie to fight trial about the French winery for 2 weeks; the ex-couple agrees with the timing

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie , the Mr. & Mrs. Smith actors, have been at each other's throats for a long time. The infamous rivalry will now transform into a courtroom drama, as the fight for the French winery is going to continue. Pitt vs Jolie trial to begin... According to US Weekly, Brad Pitt revealed in the court documents that the expected time for the jury trial will last for a fortnight, regarding the lawsuit he has against his ex-wife. The court documents also reveal that Jolie has agreed to the given time period. However, the date of the trial is yet to be determined, as several of the motions are yet to be decided. The 'F1' star has anointed this case as 'complicated' as many foreign parties are involved in the matter, and the defence has filed many cross claims in the case. What is the mess around the Miraval winery? The Chateau Miraval winery was bought by Pitt and Jolie when they were still head over heels for each other in 2008. When the disastrous and allegedly abusive private jet incident occurred, the couple decided to part ways but keep the winery to pass it down to their 6 children. However, in 2022, Pitt filed a lawsuit against his ex-wife, claiming that she did not keep her promise of not selling their shares of the winery without informing the other person. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Secure Your Child's Future with Strong English Fluency Planet Spark Learn More Undo He told the court that he had spent a ton of money and effort on turning Miraval into a successful winery. In 2021, Jolie had approached Pitt to tell him that she wanted out of the Miraval shares through a private email, which the 'Fight Club' actor submitted to the court as one of the documents. 'In the past four years I have seen lots of inconsiderate behavior, money spent in ways that I would not have approved, and decisions made that I was not consulted on,' she wrote in the mail, before adding, 'I've been hurt by decisions that have been made that show no interest in sharing the business or changing it fundamentally into something that would be healthier for our children. ' While the ex-couple did work on buying her shares, Jolie claims that Pitt tried to make her sign an NDA, which would cover up years of abuse. Pitt denied the claim, and his lawyer argues that the accusations are a sham in the pretext of her selling the shares to a Russian billionaire, striking a deal with a third party.
