A former Coronation Street star has received plenty of love and support from fans after undergoing an operation on her eye.
Tracie Bennett, who played Sharon Gaskell in the ITV soap, took to social media to share a video after an operation at Moorfields Eye Hospital.
'Thanks for being lovely everyone and for your concern. I'll be Reet! Bless ya…really kind of you,' she wrote in the caption of her Twitter/X post.
'I just want to say thank you for all your good wishes. It's really kind of you and I didn't mean to cause a 'thing', but I'm okay,' she told her followers in the video itself.
'Moorfields was just spectacular, the best eye hospital in the world.'
She went on to joke about the size of her bandage, and how she would have preferred something a bit more showbiz, before thanking fans once again and promising she would be well enough for her next venture.

Tracie is set to take on the role of Tallulah Bankhead in The Code at the Southwark Playhouse Elephant this September.
She is joined by former EastEnders star John Partridge, who played Christian Clarke in the BBC soap. He takes on the role of Billy Haines in the play, which runs until mid October.
Following her message on social media, fans continued to flood Tracie with suppport.

'Hope you make a speedy recovery. Let them AV IT!' One fan wrote, referencing one of Sharon Gaskell's most iconic scenes, which saw her attack Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) with a taser.
'Tracie, feel better! So very sorry… you've got this, champion,' another fan said, while a third added: 'Get well soon!'
Tracie's Corrie character Sharon was the aunt of sinister gang leader Harvey Gaskell, and her most recent stint on the cobbles saw her doing his dirty work.
Eventually, she was reported to the police by Rita Tanner, and had to give evidence against Harvey in court.

Together, starring real-life couple Dave Franco and Alison Brie, landed in US cinemas this week, ahead of a UK premiere on August 15. Michael Shanks' scare-fest follows lovebirds Tim and Millie who move out to the country, where they have a bizarre, supernatural encounter. However, things take a creepy turn when their flesh begins fusing to each other, bringing them much closer than they ever anticipated. Although the flick hasn't been out long, it has gone down very well with film buffs, and currently claims a near-perfect score from reviewers on Rotten Tomatoes, compared to a 79% mark from fans. Heaping praise on the film, Movie Brief's Michael Nordine raved: 'One of the more gruesomely romantic horror movies ever made.' 'A giddy grotesquerie that has midnight-movie crowd-pleaser written all over it,' Nick Schager of the Daily Beast agreed. Owen Gleiberman, for Variety, penned: 'It's fun (in a rather bumptious way), it stars two very good actors playing a couple who have as many issues as couples do in real life, and it works as a totally unhinged yet far from mindless thriller built around a Big Idea.' Deadline Hollywood Daily's Glenn Garner hailed: 'Although Alison Brie and husband Dave Franco have shared the screen in the past, they truly sink into each other with some skin-crawling, albeit heartfelt and hilarious performances in writer-director Michael Shanks' feature debut Together.' As the Guardian's Benjamin Lee added: 'A convincingly gory argument for being single.' 'Years into their relationship, Tim and Millie (Dave Franco and Alison Brie) find themselves at a crossroads as they move to the country, abandoning all that is familiar in their lives except each other,' the official synopsis reads. 'With tensions already flaring, a nightmarish encounter with a mysterious, unnatural force threatens to corrupt their lives, their love, and their flesh.' More Trending Filmmaker Michael previously opened up about the unsettling plot in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, admitting that it was inspired by his own relationship. 'I think when anyone is in a long-term relationship, there comes a point where you realize you have the same friends, eat the same food, breathe the same air – you start to wonder if you can truly tell where you end and your partner begins,' he told the outlet. 'I thought that was a really compelling place to start to examine in a relationship – what if you took that old cliche of sharing a life and took it to somewhere visceral, and horrifically literal?' Coronation Street rogue has U-turned on his decision to leave
Coronation Street bad boy Carl Webster's (Jonathan Howard) decisions took us on an emotional rollercoaster in tonight's episode, as he made a massive U-turn. After turning up to work at the garage in the morning, Carl was stunned when Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) fired him. Carl had been involved in some dodgy dealings, which he was operating from the garage, so it made sense that furious Kevin would throw him out. Having lost his job, Carl insisted that there was nothing left in Weatherfield for him, which Kevin was pleased to pass on to Abi Webster (Sally Carman). Viewers will know that Abi has feelings for Carl and was left heartbroken earlier this week when he slept with her then called off their relationship all together. Abi wasn't the only one upset by Carl's sudden decision to leave, and when she arrived in the cafe, Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) put her on the spot by demanding that she talk him out of it. When Abi's lacklustre attempts failed to convince Carl, Debbie pointed out that she needed family around her that she could trust, especially after her diagnosis. Debbie was diagnosed with dementia earlier this year, which really rocked her. In more recent scenes, she was left feeling extremely betrayed when Kevin lied to her about still having cancer. She made it clear that it was important to her that Carl stuck around, and eventually she managed to convince him to stay. When Abi later confronted him about his change of heart, Carl insisted he was staying put for the sake of his sister, though Abi demanded that he tell her the truth. Coronation Street airs telling scene as Swarla's future 'revealed' amid bombshell
Carla Connor seemed to come one step closer to uncovering Lisa Swain's late wife Becky's past on Friday's episode of Coronation Street as her future with the policewoman became clear Carla Connor seemed to be one step closer to uncovering the truth about Becky Swain on Friday's episode of Coronation Street. The Underworld boss, played by Alison King, has been dating Weatherfield detective Lisa Swain for just under a year now, but it has become apparent over that time that there is still a lot to come to light. As viewers will know, before she made her first appearance on the ITV soap, Lisa was married to Becky and they had daughter Betsy (Sydney Martin) together. But Becky, also a police officer, was killed in the line of duty when she was hit by a car. The circumstances surrounding her death have never been fully disclosed, although it is known that the car was being driven by the brothers of Mason Radcliffe (Luca Toolan), who was stabbed to by his brother Logan (Harry Lowbridge) death earlier this year. Determined to uncover more, Carla took it upon herself to visit Logan in prison and she managed to extract a kernel of information out of him, even though he seemed unwilling to talk when she first arrived. He told her: "So what happens next? I tell you everything and then I never hear from you again? It's not gonna happen. Money first, then I talk. You cough up, and then I'll cough up." A desperate Carla tried to reason with Logan, as she told him how the whole situation was 'killing' Lisa. Logan asked Carla for £10,000 but she refused and then he let slip the name: "Tia Wardley," as he added: "You can have that one for free. Anything else, you know the price." While all this was going on, Lisa, already reeling as today would have been her and Becky's wedding anniversary, left her counselling session and immediately hacked into her DI Costello's (Daon Broni) email to see what sort of information she can find for herself over her late wife's death. She was shocked to discover that PC Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) had already been on the case, but before she could process that, she was caught by DI Costello himself. She begged: "I have to know what you had on Becky, was she corrupt or not? She was my wife and I'm starting to feel like I didn't even know her!" Lisa's superior threatened her with the sack for reading his emails, but she was undeterred as she insisted that she has a "right to know" more about Becky's death, especially when she was being investigated for something at the time of her death. In the end, Costello tried to throw her off the scent by warning her: "It was a misunderstanding, simple as. I won't take this further, but you need to drop it. Leave the past in the past!" Lisa then coolly slid into the pub to confront Kit, telling him: "My gut said it all along. 'He's a wrong'un Lisa, you can't trust a word he says.' I know what you've done. I saw it in black-and-white. You e-mailed Costello asking to see Becky's files. Why are you so obsessed with my wife?" Kit tried to explain that he had been told to drop it and wasn't prepared to lose his job over the matter, but Lisa quickly branded him a 'liar and a snake' before adding: "You put so much as a toe out of line then I will come crashing down on you, DC Green. I mean it!" And back at the factory, Carla was unable to keep her mind off Tia Wardley. Eventually, she opened her laptop to throw the name into a search engine, but seemed confused when the only results that came back focused on a American sports star, who had retired after she sustained multiple injuries in a cycling accident, and a local lollipop lady with the same name who had retired. Unable to suss things out, Carla closed her laptop and seemed to forget all about it. But things started to come to a head at home later when Lisa asked to borrow Carla's laptop, and immediately spotted her search history. Carla confessed that she had been to visit Logan, and that is how she had become aware of the name Tia Wardley. She told her: "You need answers, I thought I may be able to help", but seemingly brushing everything off, Lisa replied: "And this, Tia Wardley, is it? She's going to help?" Carla then claimed that Logan had probably just been making things up, but things took a concerning turn in the next scene when an inmate walked into Logan's cell and said: "You've been a chatty boy today, haven't you?" and slammed the door. In the end, Lisa decided to commit her future to Carla as she removed her wedding ring and said: "I want to build a life with you, in the house that we bought together. Matching bathrobes, everything. I'm all yours!"
