Three people have died and a fourth is fighting for life in hospital following a horror two-car crash.
The crash happened near Bolinda, about 55km north of Melbourne, on Sunday morning.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Bolinda-Darraweit Road about 7.20am.
'Three people from one of the vehicles, who have yet to be formally identified, died at the scene,' the police said on Sunday.
'The fourth occupant from that car was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.'
Paramedics took the driver and sole occupant of the second vehicle with non life-threatening injuries.
'The exact circumstances surrounding the collision are yet to be determined and investigations remain ongoing,' the police said.
'Anyone who witnessed the incident, has dashcam footage or any other information that could assist police is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.'
