Andros Townsend has completed the most surprising transfer of the summer
Townsend has been a bit of a journeyman of late, playing for Everton, Luton and Antalyaspor over the past four seasons.
But now the former England international has secured a move to Thailand.
Townsend completed his move to Kanchanaburi Power this week, marking a new adventure in south-east Asia.
Kanchanaburi Power were promoted to the Thai top flight last season for the first time.
Townsend is now one of seven allotted non-Thai players in the squad, joining former Real Sociedad winger Alain Oyarzun and Algeria international Mehdi Tahrat.

Colts coaching staff impressed with Anthony Gould's quiet improvement
Colts coaching staff impressed with Anthony Gould's quiet improvement originally appeared on The Sporting News Second-year wide receiver Anthony Gould may not be the biggest name on the Colts offense, but he hasn't been deterred. The Oregon State product had an uneventful rookie year. He made just one 23-yard catch on offense and had a role as a special teams return man, returning a total of 17 kicks and punts over eight appearances. This offseason, Gould has taken a step up. Offensive coordinator Jim Bob Cooter sees his hard work paying off. 'He put in a really good offseason of work, and it's showing here at camp,' Cooter said after Sunday's practice. 'He's playing really good ball right now…he's absolutely gotten better.' Gould has been a frequent target for both Anthony Richardson Sr. and Daniel Jones as a quick-hitting, over the middle connection for easy yards. That role is typically occupied by Josh Downs, but Gould has a similar skillset. Gould is listed a place behind Downs on the Colts first unofficial depth chart, the same position he was slotted into on last season's first depth chart. He's also listed as the primary kick and punt returner, a decision backed up by multiple reports of him fielding kicks at Grand Park. There's no telling how much of an impact Gould can have offensively in a crowded passing game, but the skillset and versatility is there to become a valuable asset in Indianapolis.

Agent Andrea D'Amico Offers Vital Update On Inter Milan Target Amid Atalanta Fallout: 'He Can Terminate His Contract'
Italian agent Andrea D'Amico has shared a new twist in the ongoing saga surrounding Inter Milan target Ademola Lookman and his fallout with Atalanta. Speaking to Kiss Kiss Napoli via FCInterNews, D'Amico claimed the Nigerian ace could terminate his contract with La Dea. Ademola Lookman has been Inter's top transfer target for almost a month now. However, the Serie A runners-up have been unable to convince Atalanta to sell their standout performer. Indeed, they've already seen two formal offers comfortably rejected by the Bergamo outfit. Inter's second bid, worth €45 million, fell €5 million short of Atalanta's asking price. Furthermore, Ivan Juric's men have shown zero interest in lowering their demands, putting Inter in a tough spot. Meanwhile, the 27-year-old is doing everything to force his transfer to San Siro. He has already refused to join the squad for pre-season training and deleted all social media posts in the Atalanta shirt. On top of that, he has recently emptied his locker at La Dea's training ground. Andrea D'Amico Offers Huge Ademola Lookman Update Amid Standstill Between Atalanta & Inter Milan BERGAMO, ITALY – MAY 25: Ademola Lookman of Atalanta BC looks on during the Serie A match between Atalanta BC and Parma Calcio 1913 at Gewiss Stadium on May 25, 2025 in Bergamo, Italy. (Photo by) Lookman is currently in limbo. Atalanta won't let him join Inter unless the Nerazzurri meet their €50 million valuation. On the other hand, the player has no intention of staying at the Gewiss Stadium. Therefore, D'Amico believes the next step could be a contract termination. 'Atalanta should take issue with certain clubs that are unsettling Lookman,' he said. 'Inter have made their offer. 'I read that the player had an agreement with Atalanta regarding his departure. 'Let's not forget that, following the Diarra case, a player can terminate a contract. 'Lookman could terminate his deal, and Atalanta would then be entitled to compensation,' he continued. 'The abolition of Article 17 upholds the free movement of citizens in Europe. 'Lookman is non-EU, but there are legal precedents that equate non-EU workers to EU ones. 'Let's not forget, however, that players aren't pieces of wood – they're human beings.'
