How former LSU women's basketball star Angel Reese played in the 2025 WNBA All-Star game
Collier and Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark won a fan vote to become captains, then picked their teams in a draft style. Clark sat out of the game and the three-point shooting contest with a groin injury.
Reese played 17 minutes as a reserve, finishing with six points and nine rebounds. The former LSU women's basketball star added two assists and one steal in relief of starting center Breanna Stewart. Reese played alongside Dallas Wings rookie Paige Bueckers, who made a start and finished with six points.
Reese was an All-Star in each of her first two seasons of professional basketball. In her second year with the Chicago Sky, she averages 14 points and 12.6 rebounds per game.

Former Alabama star, veteran pitcher reportedly signs with first place MLB team
One of the most accomplished Alabama Crimson Tide baseball players in MLB history is now reportedly back in the major leagues. Yes, after having not pitched up to this point in the 2025 season, veteran free agent relief pitcher David Robertson has now signed with a MLB team, according to multiple reports, doing so with the Philadelphia Phillies on Sunday. According to an announcement from the team as well, Robertson has also been optioned to Triple-A Lehigh Valley. A 16-year MLB veteran, Robertson has appeared in over 800 games during his accomplished major league career where the right-hander owns a combined 66-46 record with a 2.91 ERA and a 21.7 WAR. Robertson, a former 17th round pick in the 2006 MLB draft out of Alabama, is also a one-time All-Star and World Series champion, and has spent time with eight different organizations - the New York Yankees, Chicago White Sox, Phillies, Tampa Bay Rays, Chicago Cubs, New York Mets, Miami Marlins, and Texas Rangers. Most recently, Robertson appeared in 68 games out of the Rangers bullpen during the 2024 season where he had a 3-4 record with a 3.00 ERA, two saves, and a 99:27 K:BB ratio across 72 innings pitched. Robertson now returns to Philadelphia where he pitched for the Phillies during the 2019 and 2022 seasons, owning a combined 3.30 ERA with six saves between the two. The Phillies currently sit in first place atop the NL East at 56-43 overall. Dodgers 'Open' to Replacing Max Muncy With Trade After Injury News: Report
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. After suffering three straight losses out of the All-Star break, the Los Angeles Dodgers might be running out of patience. The team has been able to hold onto a lead in the National League West division as it waits for several key players to return from injury, including pitchers like Blake Snell and Roki Sasaki. But after veteran infielder Max Muncy went down with a knee injury, the offense has floundered and the team could be looking for a trade replacement ahead of the deadline. "The Dodgers hope their starting pitchers continue to get healthy, and with most of them trending in that direction, it appears they will focus on bullpen help at the deadline," according to The Athletic's Jim Bowden. "The Dodgers will be open to also adding a utility player to help fill in the gaps left by their injured players, including third baseman Max Muncy, who is making progress in his recovery from a knee injury." The Dodgers' primary replacement for Muncy on the depth chart has been Kike Hernandez, but he's gone down with his own injury as well. As a result, they have slotted Tommy Edman at the hot corner since returning from the break, but that strains their depth at other positions and it could be time to bring in an external reinforcement. (Photo by) More Martinez/Getty After a harsh start to the season, Muncy enjoyed a hot streak after turning to some prescription goggles to enhance his vision. It's possible that his injury setback will derail that turnaround, or that he will return even better than before. Unfortunately, the Dodgers might not be able to wait until they find out. With some cracks beginning to show on their expectations for a repeat World Series title, each remaining game is growing more important.
