BIC hosts exciting Ramadan edition of Ebrahim K Kanoo Drag and Drift Nights
The event will be lighting up both the circuit's quarter-mile drag strip and its vast drift park to make for double the thrills on one single occasion.
Participants will be able to bring their very own cars or motorbikes and push them to their limits in either the drag racing or the drifting. There is also the option to do both for a memorable evening at BIC.
Tonight's event is scheduled to be held from 8pm to 1am for a unique Ramadan experience.
Both the drag racing and the drifting can be done for a single fee of BD11. Participation in just the drag racing or just the drifting costs BD8. Those who would like to join in on the drag or drifting as a passenger can get into a participant's car for an additional fee of BD4.500. Registration for those wishing to join can be done on site.
Aside from the drag racing and drifting, also available for thrill-seekers tonight is the Dragster Experience. This is BIC's most adrenaline-pumping passenger activity, known as 'The Fastest Ride on Earth', and it takes one or two passengers at a time in an iconic Top Dragster, where they go from zero to 100kph in a mind-boggling one second.
The Dragster Experience is available at BD44 for the first passenger, while a second passenger can get 50 per cent off. Spectators who wish to attend and watch the action in the Ebrahim K Kanoo Drag and Drift Nights can purchase their tickets online at BD2 apiece at BIC's official website bahraingp.com. Tickets for children aged 12 and below are BD1 each.

Formula 1 and FIA announce 2026 calendar
Formula 1 and the FIA have announced the calendar for the 2026 FIA Formula One World Championship, which will see the introduction of a new venue, new teams and new regulations for the next generation of F1 cars that will run on 100% advanced sustainable fuels. Commencing in Australia on 6-8 March, the calendar, which was approved by the FIA World Motor Sport Council, will feature 24 races, with the season finale in Abu Dhabi on 4-6 December. In 2026, Ramadan will be throughout February and March, meaning the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian Grands Prix will once again be held in April. The 2026 calendar sees further improvements to the geographical flow of races, including the Canadian Grand Prix now following Miami in an earlier slot from 22-24 May, delivering significant freight efficiencies as some equipment can move directly from one to the other. This change creates a consolidated European leg of the season across the summer months, beginning in Monaco from 5-7 June, and finishing in Spain, where Madrid will make its Formula 1 calendar debut from 11-13 September. The Championship then returns to Asia with the Azerbaijan and Singapore Grands Prix, ahead of a triple header in the Americas, before Las Vegas, Qatar, and Abu Dhabi once again close out the season. Stefano Domenicali, President and CEO of Formula 1, said: '2026 will be a new era for Formula 1 where we will witness a brand-new set of regulations for our sport, the cars and the engines that will be powered by 100% sustainable fuel. We are excited to welcome Madrid to the calendar, and to see huge automotive brands like Audi, Cadillac and Ford join the Formula 1 grid. It promises to be an unforgettable season, where once again we will come together at 24 amazing global venues to watch the best drivers in the world push themselves to the limit and produce incredible wheel to wheel racing for our millions of fans watching around the globe. I want to thank all our fans for their passionate support and the FIA, with all the volunteers, marshals and officials, as well as the promoters, partners, sponsors, host cities and the local motor racing federations for their commitment and support in delivering this schedule in what I know will be another historic year for Formula 1.'
