Anshula Kapoor, daughter of producer Boney Kapoor, recently got engaged to Rohan Thakkar in a dreamy proposal at New York's Central Park. The veteran producer called it the 'best news' he'd heard in a long time and expressed how he wished his late wife Mona Shouri could have been there to witness it.
Last week, Anshula got engaged to screenwriter Rohan Thakkar in New York. She shared the news on her Instagram with dreamy photos of the proposal that happened at Central Park, in front of the famous Belvedere Castle.
In his heartfelt post, the producer wrote, 'From the very first moment I held you in my arms, I knew my genius bachcha you were destined to grow into the kind, compassionate, and incredible woman you are today â€' your mother Mona's strength, grace, love, live on in you every single day. And of my mother- your grandmother's generosity, warmth, and unwavering spirit are mirrored in the way you love and live (sic).'
Adding, he blessed the two and hoped to meet them soon. 'I know both your mother, my mother including your mother's parents, and of course your massi, are showering their blessings wrapped around you like a warm embrace. Seeing you so deeply happy and in love is one of the greatest joys of my life. Your journey is only beginning, and I'll be cheering you on with pride, love, and all my heart â€' every step of the way. Loads of love, blessings & best wishes for a very happy future (sic),' he added.
The couple made a joint announcement, sharing dreamy pictures from their engagement celebrations. Anshula gave fans a glimpse into their love story, revealing that they first connected through an app. What started as a late-night conversation at 1:15 a.m. went on until 6 in the morning, and the rest, as they say, is history. From 2022 to 2025, their journey has been filled with warmth and growth. When Rohan finally popped the question, Anshula said a resounding yes.
The engagement comes just as Anshula wraps up her appearance on Karan Johar's OTT reality show, 'The Traitors'. Ahead of the grand finale on July 3, she was eliminated along with fellow contestants Janvee Gaur, Elnaaz Nourouzi, Sufi Motiwala, and Jannat Zubair.
