All About Eve Jobs's Husband, Harry Charles

Elle12 hours ago
Eve Jobs is the youngest daughter of the late Steve Jobs, the famous founder of Apple, and his former wife, Laurene. On Saturday, Eve married famous equestrian Harry Charles in the Cotswolds.
The Jobs family reportedly went all out for the luxurious wedding, but Laurene has stated in the past that wealth accumulation has not been a priority in the family. She told the New York Times in 2020 that the tech mogul 'didn't care about the accumulation of wealth' and she decided to dedicate her life to 'doing the very best I can to distribute it effectively, in ways that lift up individuals and communities in a sustainable way.'
She added, 'I'm not interested in legacy wealth building, and my children know that. Steve wasn't interested in that. If I live long enough, it ends with me.'
Eve and her new husband, however, did spend a lot on their ceremony, according to Us Weekly, who stated it was held at St. Michael and All Angels in Great Tew, followed by a reception at the private members' club and hotel Estelle Manor. There, Sir Elton John serenaded the couple and guests—the perfect way to kick off a new marriage.
Here's everything to know about Eve and her relationship with Charles so far.
Harry Charles is a 26-year-old Olympian, who first represented Great Britain at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. There, he competed in individual jumping and team jumping. In 2024, he was a member of the British Team again and won a gold for show jumping at the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics. He even won that medal with a fractured arm strapped to his side from an earlier injury, with the help of his horse, Romeo.
Per the Daily Mail, he also has had success outside the Olympics, at the London International Horse Show in 2021 with three wins, including winning the World Cup competition with Stardust and the Grand Prix with Borsato.
Charles comes from a long line of horse people. His father, Peter, is also a former Olympic equestrian and was on Team GB when Britain won their first team jumping gold medal in 60 years at the 2012 London Summer Olympics.
They reportedly began dating in 2022 and got engaged in September 2024. They likely have bonded over horses, because Eve has a passion for equestrian hobbies as well. She even competes, most recently at The Defender Stakes in the Castle Arena in May 2025.
A source told the U.S. Sun that their Cotswolds ceremony would be a 'society wedding like no other.'
'The sleepy village in which it's taking place feels like it's turning into a no-go zone, with secret service operatives and blokes who look like they work for the FBI,' the insider said. 'This is a very quiet place not far from the Cotswolds. Everyone is used to tourists and famous faces, but this is something else.'
In photos from the event, it does appear as though people lined up to check out the arrivals at the church.
According to The Times, there was a celebrity guest list, including Kamala Harris, Bill and Melinda Gates' daughter Jennifer Gates Nassar, and chef Ruth Rogers and Bruce Springsteen's daughter, Jessica Springsteen, who also served as a bridesmaid.

Today's Quordle Hints (and Answer) for Monday, July 28, 2025

If you're looking for the Quordle answer for Monday, July 28, 2025, read on—I'll share some clues, tips, and strategies, and finally the solution. Beware, there are spoilers below for July 28, Quordle #1281! Keep scrolling if you want some hints (and then the answer) to today's Quordle game. (If you play Wordle, Connections, and Strands, check out our hints for those games, too.) How to play Quordle Quordle lives on the Merriam-Webster website. A new puzzle goes live every day. If you've never played, it's a twist on The New York Times' daily Wordle game, in which you have a limited number of attempts to guess a five-letter mystery word. In Quordle, though, you're simultaneously solving four Wordle-style puzzles, and each of your guesses gets applied to the four puzzles simultaneously. Due to the increased difficulty, Quordle grants you nine guesses (12 if you play on 'Chill' mode, or eight if you play on 'Extreme'), rather than Wordle's six. To start, guess a five-letter word. The letters of the word in each of the four quadrants will turn green if they're correct, yellow if you have the right letter in the wrong place, or gray if the letter isn't in that secret word at all. Ready for the hints? Let's go! Can you give me a hint for today's Quordle? Upper left: Sweet. Upper right: Secret love Lower left: Clothing item. Lower right: Pass up. Does today's Quordle have any double or repeated letters? Upper left: No. Upper right: Yes, a repeated consonant. Lower left: No. Lower right: Yes, a repeated vowel. What letters do today's Quordle words start with? Upper left: C Upper right: T Lower left: S Lower right: F What letters do today's Quordle words end with? Upper left: Y Upper right: T Lower left: T Lower right: O What is the solution to today's Quordle? Upper left: CANDY Upper right: TRYST Lower left: SHIRT Lower right: FORGO How I solved today's Quordle SLATE and MOUND are my go-to starter words. Let's try STIFF for the bottom left. Getting there. SKIRT? Nope, has to be SHIRT. The upper right only has Y as a vowel—maybe TRYST? Yes. I'll try DANDY for the upper left. One off. CANDY. Not totally sure about this last one, but I think FORGO fits. Phew! The best starter words for Quordle What should you play for that first guess? We can look to Wordle for some general guidelines. The best starters tend to contain common letters, to increase the chances of getting yellow and green squares to guide your guessing. (And if you get all grays when guessing common letters, that's still excellent information to help you rule out possibilities.) There isn't a single 'best' starting word, but The New York Times's Wordle analysis bot has suggested starting with one of these: CRANE TRACE SLANT CRATE CARTE Meanwhile, an MIT analysis found that you'll eliminate the most possibilities in the first round by starting with one of these: SALET REAST TRACE CRATE SLATE Other good picks might be ARISE or ROUND. Words like ADIEU and AUDIO get more vowels in play, but you could argue that it's better to start with an emphasis on consonants, using a starter like RENTS or CLAMP. Choose your strategy, and see how it plays out. Solve the daily Crossword

Will Claressa Shields Vs. Laila Ali Ever Happen?

For years now, there has been a competitive rivalry between two of women's boxing greats in Claressa Shields and Laila Ali. Ali is a 2021 inductee into the International Boxing Hall of Fame. Her career boasts an undefeated record after 24 fights. Of those bouts, she has 21 knockouts. In Ali's day, she was nothing to snooze at. Hell, she was the furthest thing to snooze at. And up until recent years, no one would rival such greatness. What's in a name? When it comes to Shields, she has been making her way for years. With a professional record of 16-0, she's seeking to give her self-proclaimed nickname legitimacy as the 'Greatest Woman of All-Time' (G.W.O.A.T). For these two ladies, their relationship began as a mentor-mentee type deal. The two began as very complimentary of one another. However, a 2019 The Breakfast Club interview with Ali changed everything. She said, 'I don't think there's anyone there for me that would give me a good challenge.' Shields took exception to that notion, especially after her gold medal success in the most recent Olympics at the time. Since those comments, Shields has made it her point to not only win her fights but also become a box office attraction for women's boxing. She is as charming as she is strong in the ring. With that type of quality, she seeks to sell her fights in ways that women just haven't before. Most recently, Ali was asked once again whether or not she would take on Shields in a match. She responded, saying, 'Unless somebody has $15-$20 million, don't even call me about this.' A few days later, Shields seemingly called Ali's bluff, producing a video in which she presented a check for $15 million to pay Ali to sign on to fight her. The business of boxing Now, as a marketing ploy, I find this to be genius! The G.W.O.A.T is obviously promoting herself through this. But with athletes having the ego that they do, fans have to wonder, 'Will Ali take the bait?' At 47, Ali is 17 years Shields' senior. From an athletic standpoint, we're fine to assume that Ali won't be what she once was. However, there's always that possibility that for one night, she can be. That's the type of selling point you can have for such a generational fight such as this. If Shields can back up all of her smack talk, she will be known to be someone who was never writing checks her fists couldn't cash. As I enjoy saying, I see the vision. Do I think this fight will actually happen? I do. We've seen crazier things happen. So, if that $15 million is legit, you absolutely have to consider it from Ali's side. If this does go down, it's bound to be the biggest women's combat fight of all time. With that potential riding on it, I ask this: Why not?The post Will Claressa Shields Vs.
