Dan Lawrence hits unbeaten ton as Surrey earn six-wicket win against Glamorgan
Batting at number five, Lawrence was unbeaten on 120 – he hit five sixes and 12 fours – to help Surrey close on 224 for four in pursuit of Glamorgan's 222 for six, with five balls to spare.

Glamorgan pair Colin Ingram (69) and Asa Tribe (56) had both made quick-fire half-centuries for the visitors, but Lawrence, who was undefeated after facing 54 balls, sealed Surrey's win with a straight six.
Somerset remain in top spot in the South Group after securing their 10th win from 12 matches by beating Kent by five wickets in Canterbury.
Riley Meredith took three for 19 as Kent were restricted to 137 for eight and Somerset cantered to victory, with Tom Abell (34 not out) leading them home at the start of the 18th over.
New Zealand's Kane Williamson (52) and skipper Leus du Plooy (54) starred in Middlesex's 23-run win against Gloucestershire.

Middlesex reached 189 for five and Gloucestershire fell short in their run chase, reaching 166 for seven to fall short, despite a 46-ball 64 from opener D'Arcy Short.
Essex notched just their second win of the season thanks to opener Michael Pepper, who struck an unbeaten 87 off 47 deliveries in their six-wicket win against Sussex in Chelmsford.
Sussex were skittled for 145, with Mohammad Amir (three for 16) the pick of Essex's bowlers, before Pepper steered the home side to 148 for four in the 17th over.
In the North Group, top two Durham and Lancashire both lost – the latter losing to Roses rivals Yorkshire in Manchester for the first time since 2014 – while wins for the Bears and Northamptonshire left all four on 28 points.

Jonny Bairstow hit 10 sixes in a stunning career best 116 off 54 balls as struggling Yorkshire clinched a 19-run win at Old Trafford.
Opener Bairstow shared 167 with Will Luxton, who finished 90 not out off 46 balls as Yorkshire secured only their fourth win in 11 games this season after setting a target of 236 for six.
Lancashire's former England white-ball captain Jos Buttler hit a season's best 55 off 33 balls, but the home side were reduced to 217 for seven.
Nottinghamshire bowler Matthew Montgomery took four for 30 to help bowl Durham all out for 156 at Trent Bridge before Jack Haynes hit an unbeaten 55 for the home side, who cruised to 159 for three in reply.

Bears pair Hassan Ali (three for 32) and Danny Briggs (three for 37) were in dominant form with the ball in their side's 23-run win against Worcestershire, who mustered 153 all out, while chasing 177 for victory.

Northamptonshire's Matthew Breetzke (93 off 45), captain David Willey (53) and Saif Zaib, who smashed 53 not out off 20 deliveries, all starred with the bat in their side's 13-run win against Derbyshire.
The trio helped Northants reach 237 for four and although Derbyshire opener Aneurin Donald thrashed a 21-ball 71, the visitors fell 13 runs short.

Portsmouth defender Casley joins Oxford United
Portsmouth defender Riva Casley has joined FA Women's National League Southern Premier Division club Oxford United on a permanent deal. Pompey confirmed the news via a post on their official club website yesterday afternoon. Advertisement Casley was under contract at Portsmouth for the new season but she will take on a new challenge with Oxford United. The Yellows have paid an undisclosed fee to secure the player's services. Portsmouth signed Casley from Oxford United in summer 2023. The player was Oxford United captain on the back of what was her second spell with the third tier club. She was one of Oxford United's prized assets and was a hugely popular member of the squad. In her time with Pompey, Casley has gone on to make 55 appearances for the club in all competitions. The player helped Portsmouth win the FA Women's National League Southern Premier Division title in 2023/2024 while she was a member of the team that battled bravely to secure Barclays WSL2 survival last season. After re-joining Oxford United, Casley said 'It's the place that I started my career and it's the place that has given me all of the opportunities that I could ever dream of. Managers come and go, staff members come and go, players come and go but it's such a special family-orientated club that you just always want to be a part of.' Casley is the eighth player to leave Portsmouth since the end of last season.

Cherry Tree captain Andreas Sudnik says his side are where they want to be at the halfway stage of the Championship's promotion race in the Anthony Axford North West Cricket League. Sudnik's side are placed third in the table, eight points short of the all-important top-two positions having won eight of their 10 matches so far. On Saturday afternoon, Cherry Tree won by seven wickets at Earby, chasing down a revised target of 190 in 41 overs, getting home off the penultimate ball They now sit with 94 points in third, just behind second-placed Whalley (102) and 13 points adrift of leaders Ribblesdale Wanderers. Cherry Tree have a game in hand on Whalley and have played three games fewer than Ribblesdale. 'I'd have taken this position at the start of the season,' said seamer Sudnik. 'Two defeats out of 10 and eight wins, that's very good. Advertisement 'We were disappointed at Walkden last weekend. We would have been expecting to win that, but they had an overseas (Haider Saqlain) who played well and has won them a couple of games recently. 'Maybe that was a bit of a kick up the backside that we needed. 'I said to the lads on Saturday, 'This is our chance to get back into it'. And we did. I'm very happy at the moment. 'But it's too hard a race to call at the moment. 'Most of the teams who are up there, I expected them to be. 'Whalley were in my top four. They have a really good pro in Levi Wolfenden. I expected Ribb to be there having come down. They have a strong squad. Advertisement 'Barnoldswick are maybe a bit of a surprise instead of Astley Bridge, who I was expecting to be up there. 'I was backing ourselves to be up there because we have strengthened the batting, which was an issue for us last year, and we're winning games.' Cherry Tree triumphed amid a thrilling conclusion at Earby on Saturday, Sudnik struck twice with his seamers, including getting Sri Lankan professional Dunith Jayathunga out in the last over for 83 off 72 balls as Earby totalled 190-5 from 41 overs. In reply, four of Cherry Tree's five batters used all posted more than 20, including opener Charlie Elwood's 47, pro Mini Bhada's 45, Owen Elwood's middle-order run-a-ball 50 not out and Mark Hadfield's unbeaten 21. 'He also took an absolutely outstanding catch running back towards long-on, catching it right on the edge, to get their pro. That was crucial. 'Their pro batted really well. He didn't give a chance. But when we got him out off the first ball of the last over, that made a difference because he was teeing off. Having talked up the performance of opposition pro Jayathunga with the bat, Sudnik did likewise with his own pro, Mini Bhada. 'Local lad, great player, great attitude,' he said. Sudnik did not actually start the season as captain, that responsibility lying with opener Elwood. Sudnik added: 'I think it was after the fourth game of the season, and he just said, 'I'm not enjoying it'.
