Chiefs' Chris Jones opens up about love and longing after split from longtime girlfriend stirs headlines

Chris Jones breaks silence on love life post-breakup (Getty Images) Kansas City Chiefs defensive star Chris Jones , known for his explosive presence on the field, is revealing a far more vulnerable side off it. Just months after a public and painful breakup with his longtime girlfriend Sheawna Weathersby, Jones appears to be yearning for something deeper than Super Bowl rings—companionship and love. During a lighthearted training camp interview, the 31-year-old defensive tackle shared a surprisingly heartfelt goal from his bucket list: 'I just wanna be married, I just wanna be loved.' Chris Jones shares hopes for marriage and future with someone new Jones' tender revelation was posted on the Chiefs' official TikTok account, drawing attention not just for its sincerity but also for its timing. The video surfaced four months after Weathersby's Instagram post accused Jones of infidelity and confirmed their nine-year relationship had ended 'months ago.' — BSO (@BSO) 'I'm choosing to focus on the positive as I close this chapter on a 9-year relationship,' she wrote. 'Ultimately Chris' infidelity with the woman he's recently been pictured with led to my decision to end our relationship months ago.' The alleged incident referenced was a now-deleted Instagram photo of Jones with a woman licking his face, which further fueled the breakup narrative. Jones never publicly addressed the accusations. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Even Beautiful Women Have Their 'Oops' Moments Read More Undo However, he did declare his single status via a string of tweets back in January—just weeks before signing a mammoth five-year, $158.75 million contract extension that includes $101 million guaranteed. Weathersby's post also described unsettling harassment from the other woman, claiming, 'This is especially troubling given her history of harassment, stalking and disrespect towards me… This behavior has forced me to change my number and has forced Chris to ask her multiple times to please leave me alone and respect our coparenting dynamic.' Chris Jones- Life beyond the breakup Despite the personal upheaval, Jones continues to dominate on the field. Last season, he recorded 75 pressures, 29 quarterback hits, and 10.5 sacks—proving why he's a cornerstone of the Chiefs' defense. Jones and Weathersby, who had been together since at least 2015, share two young children, 6-year-old Christopher and 2-year-old Carson. Weathersby was a familiar presence at games and developed close bonds with other Chiefs WAGs, including Taylor Swift , who is currently dating tight end Travis Kelce . Now, with fame, fortune, and football already under his belt, Jones seems to be seeking something far more elusive—someone to stand beside him when the crowd fades and the lights go dim. Kolkata: Crown, one of the last symbols of Esplanade area's 16 single screen theatre that was once the talk of the country, will soon be razed to the ground. The theatre, fondly referred to as the Cinema Hall of Janab Hashim Chandni Wale and known for playing films like 'Funtoosh', 'Qurbani', 'Aashique', 'Sadak', was shut down in 2022 and will be demolished by Oct. An old staffer of Crown told TOI that there will be clarity on what will come up on that space once the demolition work is over. Crown will join the list of single screens in Esplanade, once home to Majestic, Chaplin, Tiger, Lighthouse, Regal, Roxy, Paradise, Elite, Lotus, Jyoti, New Cinema and Opera Show House, which are now vibrant only in the memory of spectators. While New Empire and Society are still operational in their old format, Globe and Metro have been repurposed as cineplex. Roxy is undergoing repair and restoration. According to historical records, Crown Cinema was established in 1945 by Messrs Md Hashim and Md Yasin. "Crown wasn't built as a grand palace but it became a theatre of the people. One of the earliest films screened there was 'Bhai Jan' (1945) starring Noor Jehan and Karan Dewan, followed soon after by 'Humayun' by Mehboob Khan. Its modest yet impactful presence stood the test of time for nearly eight decades. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 25 of the Best Cities to Live In Undo I would prefer not to comment on the eventual sale or business transition, as these remain private," said Mansoor Danish, the great-grandson of Md Hashim. The duo owned multiple properties in Kolkata, including in Chandni Chowk, Ganesh Chandra Avenue, Temple Street, and Rafi Ahmed Kidwai Road. Their envelope printing press Ms M Hashim M Yasin was the first ever envelope manufacturer of India in 1932 and later they took part at the Mahamakam -All India Swadeshi Movement in 1933 Kumbakonam Festival for promoting Swadeshi enterprise. "The enterprise won a gold medal for promoting the theme 'Ask for Indian, Seek Indian, Buy Indian, Be Indian, Buy Khadi and Relieve the Starving Millions'," Danish said. One of the plausible reasons behind them entering the cinema business was a passion for cinema and community. According to Danish, the name 'Cinema Hall of Janab Hashim Chandni Wale' was a nod to the influence of Hashim, also the vice-president of the Md Sporting Club, in the Chandni Chowk area. "My great grandfather also served as a Justice of Peace and councillor for the Calcutta Municipal Corporation for the Bowbazar ward. He had a close relationship with BC Roy, the then chief minister of West Bengal. The name for the stretch Chandni Chowk was proposed by him," Danish added. In 1975, Crown was revamped into a fully AC theatre with a 35 mm screen and a seating capacity of 984. 'Rafoo Chakkar' was the first film to screen post-renovation. What made Crown unique was its policy that mandated that no film would be shown for more than a week irrespective of how big a hit it was. "Yet nearly every Dilip Kumar film was screened there. In the 1980s, 'Qurbani' drew huge crowds. In the 1990s, 'Bombay' became a sensation. And over the years, Crown welcomed an entire era of Shah Rukh and Salman Khan blockbusters. "In 2018, I took over the responsibility of managing Crown's final years. By 2022, with changing audience habits and industry realities, I oversaw the cinema's dignified closure — ensuring our staff was treated fairly and all liabilities cleared," Danish said.

A Quiet Place Part III Gets 2027 Release Date, John Krasinski To Direct Once Again

Last Updated: John Krasinski returns as director for A Quiet Place Part III, set to release on July 9, 2027. Plot and cast details remain under wraps. The much-anticipated A Quiet Place Part III is officially happening, and John Krasinski is back at the helm. As per Variety, Krasinski will serve as the director, writer, and producer for the third main installment in Paramount's hit horror-thriller franchise. He confirmed the news on August 1 via Instagram, along with updates on the Michael Sarnoski-directed spinoff, A Quiet Place: Day One. The next chapter in the Quiet Place saga is slated to hit theatres on July 9, 2027. However, plot details are tightly under wraps, and it remains unknown whether franchise regulars Emily Blunt, Noah Jupe, and Millicent Simmonds will reprise their roles. The new installment will once again revolve around the terrifying alien creatures with hypersensitive hearing that have decimated human populations. According to Variety, the film is expected to continue exploring the idea of humans using whispers and silence to survive in a hostile, post-apocalyptic world. The film will be produced under Krasinski's banner Sunday Night Productions, along with Allyson Seeger and Platinum Dunes. Notably, Seeger's company has a first-look deal with Paramount, solidifying their creative stake in the franchise's future. The A Quiet Place franchise has been a commercial powerhouse, grossing over $900 million worldwide across three films. The original, released in 2018, was a critical and box-office success, raking in $50.2 million on its opening weekend and going on to earn $341 million globally. Its sequel, A Quiet Place Part II, faced delays due to the pandemic but still managed to pull in $297.3 million worldwide. The 2024 spinoff A Quiet Place: Day One, directed by Michael Sarnoski and starring Lupita Nyong'o, Joseph Quinn, and Djimon Hounsou, was also a hit, collecting $262 million globally. Set in a crumbling New York City ravaged by the alien invasion, the spinoff expanded the franchise's universe and mythology. With Part III now officially dated and John Krasinski once again leading the charge, fans of the suspense-filled series can begin the countdown to what promises to be another edge-of-the-seat thriller.
