Another year, another season of Slow Horses , wherein we debate whether Jackson Lamb (Gary Oldman) will ever see the inside of a shower. Apple TV+ is in the game of more strange games (hee-hee) with its exciting (but unsurprising) renewal of its mega-hit spy drama for Season 7. The streamer renewed the series for Season 6 last year, not even a week after the conclusion of Season 4. Season 5 will debut this fall.

Here's a logline for Season 7 per Apple, which will adapt Mick Herron's Bad Actors , the eighth novel in his award-winning Slough House series:
'In season seven, Lamb and his Slow Horses are on the hunt to find and neutralize a mole at the heart of the British Government before they can bring down the state.' About Season 5

'In season five of Slow Horses , everyone is suspicious when resident tech nerd Roddy Ho has a glamorous new girlfriend. When a series of increasingly bizarre events occur across the city, it falls to the Slow Horses to work out how everything is connected. After all, Lamb knows that in the world of espionage, the London Rules — cover your back — always apply.'

The series stars Gary Oldman as Jackson Lamb, Jack Lowden as River Cartwright, Kristin Scott Thomas as Diana Taverner, Rosalind Eleazar as Louisa Guy, Aimee-Ffion Edwards as Shirley Dander, Saskia Reeves as Catherine Standish, Christopher Chung as Roddy Ho, Ruth Bradley as Emma Flyte, James Callis as Claude Whelan, Tom Brooke as JK Coe and Jonathan Pryce as David Cartwright.
It hails from showrunner and executive producer Will Smith (not that one). Jamie Laurenson, Hakan Kousetta, Julian Stevens, Iain Canning, Emile Sherman, Douglas Urbanski, Gail Mutrux, Smith and Graham Yost serve as executive producers alongside Smith. Saul Metzstein, known for his directorial work on Season 3, will return at the helm for the six-episode fifth season.
Slow Horses Season 5 premieres on September 24, 2025, only on Apple TV+. Production for Season 6 is currently underway.
