Man gets most 'petty' revenge on neighbour who left his dog barking at 3am
People are loving the clapback
A man has been praised for his 'petty revenge' on a neighbour who persistently leaves their dog barking outside throughout the night. He detailed how the incessant barking disrupts his sleep and despite pleading with his neighbour to address the issue, the neighbour merely laughs it off and refuses, the Mirror reports.
In an attempt to teach him a lesson, he decided to retaliate against his 'entitled' neighbour. Sharing his story on Reddit, he said: "Every night from midnight to 3am his dog would bark non-stop right outside my bedroom. Deep loud echoing barks like he was announcing the end of the world. I asked my neighbour twice to bring the dog in. Both times he brushed it off with a smirk and said "he's just doing his job."

To which the annoyed neighbour responded: "Cool. Then I'll do mine." Love dreamy Welsh homes? Sign up to our newsletter here

With that, he began recording the barking on his phone and blasted it at full volume through a speaker against the wall at 6am to rouse his neighbour. He added: "I repeated that for two mornings. No yelling. No threats.
"Just his own dog giving him a taste of what I'd been dealing with. On day three the dog was inside before 10pm."
The man finished his post on Reddit by noting: "Hasn't barked at night since. Sometimes the best revenge is pressing play."

Responding to his post, one user said: "I had that problem so I'd put my speaker outside on my wall and played 'We Built this City on Rock and Roll' on repeat for three hours.
Another user added: "Wonderfully petty - and effective - love it!"
Someone else shared their father's clever approach: "My dad used to get up at 5am to go to work every day. Anytime the neighbour's dog woke him up during the night, they got a knock on the door around 5.30.

"Dad would just casually let them know he was off to work and their dog woke him up. "
Another user described a creative solution: "When my neighbour's dog wouldn't stop barking out in their yard I took a flashlight and aimed the beam at the side of the house.
"The dog would chase the beam of light and jump all over the house. They would come out and yell; 'King stop jumping', and I would start all over again when they went back in... until they finally brought him in."

Another user added: "Years ago my parents had a tenant who would play disco music at an appalling volume every morning at 2:00 am. "
"We begged her to stop and she never did. I finally got fed up with her and my brother and I decided to get back at her.
"We parked a very large first amp at her back door and then I added an additional 30 decibels to the song 'Ding Dong, the Witch is Dead' from the Wizard of Oz and attached my CD player to my brother's guitar amp and then we waited.

"The next night her music went on and two minutes later, so did ours.
"I thought her shoe was going to explode it was so loud.
"It blasted out for about two minutes before I heard her yelling she was turning the music off. We had to repeat it a few times, but she eventually got the message."

Ruth Carr fan lands amazing £96,000 bet on day to remember for Yorkshire trainer

The Coral customer from Huddersfield put four of the trainer's runners in a £1 Lucky 15 which all won, including a 28-1 winner at Goodwood A fan of Yorkshire trainer Ruth Carr has collected £96,000 after pulling off an extraordinary accumulator bet featuring four of her horses. ‌ Stillington-based Carr sent five runners to the races on Tuesday, three to Beverley and two to Sussex for the opening day of the Glorious Goodwood Festival. Not only did four of them win, including Brazen Bolt at odds of 28-1 in the valuable Shaker Handicap, but a Coral customer from Huddersfield had included the horses in a £1 Lucky 15. ‌ Star Start got the bet under way by dead-heating in the first leg at Beverley, then Brazen Bolt scored under Warren Fentiman, before Joanna Mason rode a double for the stable on Jojo Rabbit and King Sharja at Beverley. The betting shop punter's total winnings came to £96,052.50. ‌ 'Our punter from Huddersfield is clearly a big Ruth Carr fan, and their confidence in the Yorkshire-based trainer paid dividends on Tuesday, as they scooped just over 96k after including all four winners in a Lucky 15,' said Coral's John Hill. 'Carr's biggest-priced winner came at Glorious Goodwood, with Brazen Bolt struck in the sprint handicap at odds of 28-1. It was a day to remember for the trainer, and arguably an even bigger day for the Huddersfield-based customer.' Carr said: 'Well done that person. I'm pretty sure we haven't had a four-timer before. It takes some doing. You never go down into a big sprint handicap down south at a Festival meeting full of confidence. 'But the horse had been in good form, his back form was there as well. We took a valuable 5lb off, he got a straightforward ride and the old boy got the job done.' 'It's a long way and there are 40 other horses at home to train,' she said. 'I rode out and then went to Beverley which is just up the road. 'The horses are healthy and we appear to be getting in the right races. Luck is going our way and sometimes somebody else's bad luck is your good luck and we seem to be getting plenty of the good luck at the moment.'

Zara and Mike Tindall's surprise relative who was 'dead against' their marriage

King Charles' niece Zara Tindall is celebrating her 14th wedding anniversary today, but at the time of her wedding to former rugby player Mike in 2011, one member of the family expressed their doubts about their relationship King Charles ' niece Zara is celebrating her 14th wedding anniversary with her husband Mike Tindall today. After first meeting in 2003, the couple will no doubt be celebrating the milestone anniversary in a special way. ‌ But despite Zara and Mike being beloved members of the royal family, there was one person who had major doubts about their wedding before they got hitched in 2011. ‌ Princess Anne 's daughter and the former rugby player tied the knot in a stunning ceremony in Edinburgh surrounded by their nearest and dearest, which included the late Queen and Princess Kate and Prince William, who themselves had tied the knot just months earlier. ‌ The newlyweds emerged from the Scottish capital's Canongate Kirk after the service, Zara and I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here star Mike, shared a kiss and looked blissfully happy as they set off for their reception at Holyroodhouse. Despite the couple looking loved up and happy on their big day, one relative was 'dead against' their union: Mike's grandmother. Mike's dad Philip revealed the doubts of the grandmother in an interview in 2020 and explained she feared Zara's royal status could pose a problem, but the family at large soon realised they had nothing to worry about. ‌ He told the Sunday Times: "Linda's mum [Mike's grandmother] was dead against it. In her day, royalty married royalty and she thought the wedding would be shunned. But right from the start the whole family was just lovely." Sadly, Mike's grandmother never got to meet Zara but his dad said he knows she would have approved of her grandson's wife. He added: "I know she'd have loved her as much as we do because she and Mike are perfect for each other." Speaking about their romance, Mike previously said of his royal wife: "I've never been in love before, but Zara is the love of my life. No doubt." ‌ The couple were introduced to each other with the help of Prince Harry in 2003 at the Rugby World Cup in Australia. They announced their engagement in 2010, tying the knot just months later. At the star-studded wedding, Zara wore a stunning wedding dress by Stewart Parvin - a favourite designer of her grandmother the late Queen. ‌ In 2014, they welcomed their first child, a daughter called Mia who is 11 years old, and have another daughter called Lena, aged seven. In 2021 they welcomed their first son, Lucas Philip, with Zara giving birth on the bathroom floor at their home in Gloucestershire. Former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond told the Mirror the secret to their strong marriage, as she explained: "I think Mike and Zara have everything going for them, they are clearly still madly in love, they don't take themselves or life too seriously, and they know how to have a whole load of fun. ‌ "Probably more important than any of that, they are really good friends. And that's really how it started, 22 years ago. They met in Australia, bonded over a love of sport - and went out for a boozy lunch. 'We realised we both like to get smashed', Mike later said! "It didn't hurt that Zara was, and remains, an extremely beautiful woman, and Mike has the rugged looks of an international rugby star. They are both huge favourites in the royal family, lighting up any occasion with their vivacious good humour."
