OMG Girlz Announce First Tour ‘the Name Stays' Following Tiny, T.I.'s Legal Battle With Doll Company
'The OMG Girlz never stopped being 'OMG.' We have always been sisters and have relished every opportunity to work together,' the group tells Rolling Stone. 'We shifted gears for a bit to focus on our personal lives—including motherhood and exploring our creativity as individual artists, but we always planned on making music together again.'

Zonnique 'Star' Pullins, Bahja 'Beauty' Rodriguez, and Breaunna 'Babydoll' Womack will kick off their four-night run on Aug. 30 with a show in Atlanta, before stopping in New York City, D.C, and Dallas. Tickets are on sale now. The tour marks their live comeback after dropping a pair of singles, 'Make a Scene' in March and 'Tea' last week.
The group says that the fight for their brand and intellectual property in court allowed the group time to 're-record some of our old music' and record new songs as well. 'We are so grateful to Tip and Tiny for helping us keep this dream alive, and for all of the love and resources they have and continue to pour into our creative endeavors,' the trio says of the Harrises. (Star is the daughter of Tiny.) 'We are excited to paint ATL, Dallas, NYC, and DC pink, purple, and blue!'
Last September, T.I. and Tiny were originally awarded $71.4 million in damages from MGA Entertainment, the toy company behind L.O.L. Surprise! O.M.G. dolls. The couple had filed a first lawsuit in 2021, alleging that MGA copied the image and likeness of the OMG Girlz — the pop-R&B group they formed in 2009 and disbanded in 2015 — for a handful of dolls launched in 2019.
MGA challenged the outcome of the lawsuit this year, calling the punitive damages given 'constitutionally excessive.' A judge slashed the $53.6 million punitive award down to $1 while leaving the $17.9 million award for compensatory damages in place. The judge claimed that evidence at trial failed to show MGA designers 'willfully' copied the OMG Girlz. Earlier this month, the Harrises filed paperwork looking for a fourth trial to recover the slashed award.
While the Name Stays Tour is OMG Girlz's first headlining run ever, the group reunited in 2023 and joined Xscape and SWV's Queens of R&B Tour last year.

Demi Lovato Makes ‘Fast' Return To Pop Music With New Single
Demi Lovato is gearing up for the release of her ninth studio album. The hit-making singer released her previous LP Holy Fvck in 2022, marking a return to her rock roots from her first two albums more than a decade ago. The following year, she released Revamped, a remix album of her biggest hits reimagined in new rock arrangements. Now, she's returning to her former pop sound with 'Fast,' the lead single off her next project. 'Fast,' like the rest of the new album, was produced by Zhone, who's previously collaborated with the likes of Kylie Minogue, Kesha, and Troye Sivan. In his view, Lovato is "a master in the studio." 'This album is about letting inhibitions go, and we had so much fun making this music,' he told Rolling Stone. "It really comes across throughout.' 'I'm not so sure I've ever felt like this before / I can't deny, it feels so right / I must confess, already got me so obsessed / Is that alright?" Lovato sings on the track. 'I wanna go fast, I wanna go hard / I wanna go anywhere, anywhere you are / No matter how close, no matter how far / I wanna go anywhere, anywhere you are.' Last year, Lovato made her directorial debut with the documentary Child Star, where she and other celebrities like Drew Barrymore and fellow Disney Channel star Raven-Symoné opened up about the trials and tribulations of growing up in the public eye. When thinking about what's next for her, she admits she had to look back on past traumas and revisit the pain in order to move forward. 'I oftentimes think about what I want to do with my future, and I don't know what that looks like yet,' Lovato told Teen Vogue last year. 'But I felt like I had to go back to the beginning to figure that out: Why I got into the industry; what was it about it that made me want to do this particular job; what I love about it; and what did I fight for when I thought it was getting stripped away? I have to go back to the beginning in order to figure out what future I want for myself.'

Sarah Jessica Parker Bids Farewell To 'Sex And The City' Icon Carrie Bradshaw In Heartfelt Tribute
And just like that, Sarah Jessica Parker found herself saying goodbye — and not just to a show, but to a version of herself she's worn like her favorite pair of Manolos. The woman who brought Carrie Bradshaw to life in 'Sex and the City,' then later in its revival 'And Just Like That…,' is taking a moment to honor the character who shaped her professional identity. On Friday, news broke that the series will end after its third season, and Parker marked the moment with an emotional tribute to the woman she's played for more than two decades. 'She / Crossed / Streets / Avenues / Rubicons, so it seemed. / She / Broke hearts / Heels / Habits,' Parker wrote in a poem Friday on Instagram, accompanied by photos of her iconic character. 'She / Loved / Lost / Won / Tripped / Leaped / Fell short and into puddles / Aged / Got wiser.' Carrie Bradshaw was never just a character — she was a cultural phenomenon. One of her famous lines remarked that women move to New York City in pursuit of 'labels and love.' Though Bradshaw may have gained a broad collection of labels, her love life across the two series and two movies remained a chaotic masterpiece. Still, she never wavered in her devotion to the city that raised her. 'She / Devoted herself to hats, books, shoes, friends and the promise of a new day in her beloved city and the people she treasured most,' Parker wrote. 'She has worn shame, pride, honor, optimism and literally countless dresses, skirts, tutus. / Held onto hands, hopes and the very best of people.' Parker also thanked Samantha Jones (Kim Cattrall), Charlotte York (Kristin Davis) and Miranda Hobbs (Cynthia Nixon) — Bradshaw's circle of friends that was later joined by Seema Patel (Sarita Choudhury), and Lisa Todd Wexley (Nicole Ari Parker.) 'Carrie Bradshaw has dominated my professional heartbeat for 27 years. I think I have loved her most of all,' Parker continued. 'I know others have loved her just as I have. Been frustrated, condemned and rooted for her. The symphony of all those emotions has been the greatest soundtrack and most consequential companion.' Parker also confirmed that she and showrunner Michael Patrick King mutually decided it was time to end the 'chapter' that was 'And Just Like That...' She referred to AJLT as a 'joy,' an 'adventure' and 'the greatest kind of hard work alongside the most extraordinary talent of 380 that includes all the brilliant actors' who were a part of the project. 'I am better for every single day I spent with you. It will be forever before I forget. The whole thing. Thank you all,' she concluded. The AJLT series finale is set to stream on HBO Max on Aug. 14. Sarah Jessica Parker Says Goodbye After Surprise Announcement of And Just Like That End
"Carrie Bradshaw has dominated my professional heartbeat for 27 years. I think I have loved her most of all," SJP noted in a lengthy and emotional Instagram post after 'And Just Like That's cancellation was announced. Sarah Jessica Parker is writing off her iconic character, Carrie Bradshaw, after And Just Like That was surprisingly canceled after the currently-airing Season 3. In an Instagram post Friday, shortly after the announcement, SJP shared a montage including all of her past fashionable looks on Sex and the City and it's modern sequel, And Just Like That. She also narrated her heartfelt caption in one final signature voiceover. 'She crossed streets, avenues, rubicons, so it seemed. She broke hearts, heels, habits. She loved, lost, won, tripped, leaped, fell short and into puddles. Aged, got wiser. She has made the hardest, worst and best decisions,' Parker wrote and said in the post. 'Traveled near and far. For the new, the vintage, friends and love.' Parker continued to recap the growth and changes her character handled throughout both series. "Changed homes, time zones, boyfriends, her mind, her shoes, her hair, but never her love and devotion to New York City," she said. "She had dates, drinks, boyfriends, a husband and truly great loves and romances. She hailed cabs, she ran in heels and danced with Stanford. She told the truth and she lied. She typed, wondered, wrote, published, grieved, forgave. Got stood up, stood strong, stood out." "She devoted herself to hats, books, shoes, friends and the promise of a new day in her beloved city and the people she treasured most. She has worn shame, pride, honor, optimism and literally countless dresses, skirts, tutus. Held onto hands, hopes and the very best of people." Parker then mentioned how much she loved her character for the past 27 years. "Miranda, Samantha and Charlotte, there will never be better friends and what great fortune for Carrie to come to know and love Seema and LTW, most divine new connections. Carrie Bradshaw has dominated my professional heartbeat for 27 years. I think I have loved her most of all," she mentioned. "I know others have loved her just as I have. Been frustrated, condemned and rooted for her. The symphony of all those emotions has been the greatest soundtrack and most consequential companion. Therefore the most sentimental and profound gratitude and lifetime of debt. To you all." But the actress shared that she helped decide on the show coming to an end with showrunner Michael Patrick King because -- they felt it was time to finish this chapter in Carrie's life. "MPK and I together recognized, as we have in the past, this chapter complete. AJLT was all joy, adventure, the greatest kind of hard work alongside the most extraordinary talent of 380 people, including all the brilliant actors who joined us," she continued. "I am better for every single day I spent with you. It will be forever before I forget. The whole thing. Thank you all. I love you so. I hope you love these final two episodes as much as we loved making them for you. Rabbit rabbit. Xxx, SJ." Solve the daily Crossword
