Oppo K13x sports a sleek and stylish design. The lightweight 5G smartphone comes in two colour options — Midnight Violet and Sunset Peach. We got the Midnight Violet unit and it looks and feels premium. The flat display and the flat rear panel of the smartphone offers a firm and comfortable grip to the user. The power button and volume rockers are placed on the right side of the smartphone. The side of the smartphone houses the SIM card tray while the USB Type C charging port and 3.5mm audio jack are located at the bottom with the speaker. The rear of the smartphone houses a dual rear camera placed neatly in a horizontal line on the top left corner along with the LED flash. To sum up, Oppo K13x is a good looking smartphone.

Oppo K13x features a 6.67-inch HD+ display with 1604x720 pixel resolution. The AMOLED display of the smartphone offers 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1000 nits of peak brightness level. The high brightness levels make it easier for the user to use under direct sunlight. The smartphone features slim bezels on all sides, maximizing screen space for an immersive viewing experience. Its wide viewing angles enhance both gaming and binge-watching. The bright display on the smartphone also offer accurate colour reproduction which enhances the user experience.

chipset. The smartphone comes in three variants — 4GB+128GB, 6GB+128GB and 8GB+ 256GB. The smartphone also offer support for microSD card of up to 2TB. During our initial testing, the smartphone exhibited smooth performance, handling multitasking and casual gaming with ease. Along with this, the affordable Oppo smartphone also comes with military grade certification which makes it resistant to shock and extreme environmental conditions. Also, the IP65 rating makes the Oppo K13x resistant to dust and water. The smartphone is backed by a massive 6000 mAh battery which comes with 45W fast charging support. The company claims that the smartphone can offer a long lasting battery backup on a single charge. However, we have not yet evaluated the battery life and charging speed of the device.
Oppo K13x runs Android 15 operating system topped with company's own layer of ColorOS 15. The smartphone comes with native Android 15 features and square icons with round edges. The UI is pretty clean but it comes with its share of bloatware which will not be liked by many. For the complete software analysis you will have to wait for our review.
Camera
Oppo K13x houses a dual rear camera with 50MP main sensor with f/1.88 aperture, 2MP portrait sensor with f/2.4 aperture. Front is home to an 8MP selfie camera with f/2.05 aperture. During our initial experience with the smartphone, we tested it under bright daylight conditions and found that the camera produced impressive shots. The images captured displayed rich detailing and vibrant colour reproduction. Additionally, the front camera also delivered impressive results.

Device ban to be enforced from first bell to last bell According to Leander ISD, students may not use personal devices—including mobile phones, smartwatches, tablets, or any electronic communication device—during the school day, defined as the period from the first bell to the last bell. This includes lunch breaks and passing periods. The law mandates that all such devices must be turned off, out of sight, and stored securely, either in lockers, designated pouches, or backpacks. Leander ISD has stated that the purpose of the ban is to eliminate distractions, support student engagement, and improve the learning environment. As outlined by Leander ISD, device use will be allowed if it is part of a student's Individualised Education Programme (IEP) or Section 504 accommodation. Medical exceptions also apply if a licensed physician certifies the device is necessary for the student's health needs. Additionally, usage will be allowed if required by health or safety laws. Response to violations and disciplinary measures Leander ISD confirmed that its policy will involve progressive disciplinary steps for violations. A student found using a prohibited device will first receive a verbal or written warning. Continued violations will lead to parental notification. Repeated breaches may result in confiscation of the device, which will only be returned to a parent or guardian. Leander ISD has stated that if a device is not retrieved within 90 calendar days following notification, the school may dispose of it. Further violations could result in students losing the privilege of bringing a personal communication device to school altogether and may lead to disciplinary action under the Leander ISD Student Code of Conduct. Use of personal laptops and other devices Personal laptops, Chromebooks, and tablets without SIM cards (cellular capability) are permitted if connected to the Leander ISD WiFi network. However, devices with telecommunication capabilities are banned. Device usage not permitted for specific activities Students may not use phones in the nurse's office, even to update parents about their condition. The school nurse will contact families directly, according to Leander ISD. Recording, photographing, or videoing using personal devices is also not permitted. For class projects requiring media, teachers will provide approved alternatives. Additionally, students cannot use devices to check apps such as Leander ISD Connect (ParentSquare) during the school day. Personal messaging on district devices is also disallowed. According to Leander ISD, communication with parents during school hours must be routed through school staff or the front office. Handling emergencies and unexpected situations Students may use personal communication devices only in emergencies where staff are not accessible. In such cases, Leander ISD stated that the circumstances would be evaluated with discretion. If a student forgets their phone in a pocket but it remains powered off and out of sight, it will not be treated as a violation. However, if the device is visible, used, or makes noise, it will be confiscated. Changes to extend beyond mobile phone use Leander ISD has clarified that smartwatches with communication features are also included in the ban. Only traditional time-telling watches are permitted. Phones must also remain stored during restroom breaks. Students cannot retrieve their phones to notify parents about forgotten items or early appointments. The front office will handle such communications. Broader legislative context and future updates House Bill 1481 is one of 107 new laws from the 89th Legislative Session expected to influence various aspects of Texas public education, including curriculum, safety, discipline, district finances, and daily operations. A Reddit user is being lauded for their smart financial planning, which helped them not only enjoy an 11-day trip to Vietnam but also purchase a MacBook at a lower price than in India. For years, Apple users in India have had to splurge extra money to buy MacBooks or iPhones due to a mixture of factors like high import fees, Goods and Services Tax (GST) and the premium pricing strategy. In the now viral post titled "I flew to Vietnam from India just to buy a MacBook", the user revealed that they had the idea to conduct this experiment, in the hope that they would be able to save some cash. "If you're planning to buy a MacBook or iPhone worth Rs 2 lakh+ in India trust me, it's worth making a short trip to Vietnam. You'll get the device cheaper and squeeze in a mini vacation," wrote the OP in the r/macoffer subreddit. The OP stated they booked the cheapest round-trip flight ticket and headed to Hanoi, where they worked remotely and also enjoyed touring the capital city. The user said they visited over 15 stores in nearby areas to buy the MacBook, whilst offering advice on what to look for when buying the laptop. "Always ask: "Do you provide VAT refund documents for the airport?" Some stores won't. They even helped me carefully open the MacBook to inspect it and resealed it for airport VAT refund smart move!" As per the OP, the MacBook was available for Rs 1.85 lakh in India with card offers but after receiving a VAT refund at the Vietnam airport, the same device cost them only Rs 1.48 lakh -- meaning a saving of Rs 36,500.
