‘Big Brother 27' star Adrian Rocha reveals who he feels most betrayed by after ‘devastating' eviction

New York Post3 hours ago
There's no loyalty on 'Big Brother 27.'
Adrian Rocha was the third person axed from the house after being betrayed back-to-back by his allies.
First, Lauren Domingue nominated Rocha to stay in the other side of the house's good graces. Then, Vince Panaro and Zach Cornell voted him out to avoid a tie vote that Domingue would've had to break.

'It was so devastating for me,' the 23-year-old carpenter exclusively told The Post after his eviction. 'Leaving the house, I feel like I lost the opportunity of a lifetime. I just felt like I had so much game to give.'

Rocha explained that he feels 'more betrayed' by Panaro and Cornell despite his admitted frustrations with Domingue for nominating him.
'It was more of a surprise at the moment, right? Versus Lauren, I knew she was struggling,' he said. 'As soon as she got to HOH, I was like, 'What the flip you mean you're potentially thinking of putting me up?' But as long as none of The Bond went up, we had the numbers to keep whoever we wanted, even if Kelley was sitting on the block. But she was just too scared to make a move. And that wasn't surprising.'

'But Vince and Zach… that was surprising because I thought I had them in my corner,' Rocha added. 'I needed to secure a tie, but I guess it was too risky for Vince to draw that line in the sand. And Zach didn't want to put a target on him and Lauren. I'm like, bro, I thought you said you weren't gonna simp over a girl!'

Rocha, who said in his eviction interview with Julie Chen Moonves he wanted to target former winner Rachel Reilly, also called out the rest of the cast for being 'too sacred to make moves.'

CBS
'There is really no loyalty,' he told The Post. 'And that's one of the reasons why they don't want to draw the line in the sand. I felt that Vince was throwing HOHs because he was so well insulated. Zach probably didn't want to win too much unless he felt threatened by who was still in the competition. So then it really felt like I had to win because my alliances wouldn't want to take that shot. And if I had took that shot, then they wouldn't want me playing the middle. They would want to go on the winning side, which would have been mine.'

'But yeah, there wasn't much loyalty in the house,' Rocha continued. 'Everyone's playing chicken. They want to play it safe and and the thing is, eventually the numbers will dwindle. Kelley and Keanu keep taking themselves off, forcing the houseguest to have to take a real shot at one side. Eventually they will have to. But I wasn't afraid to make that line right now.'
'Big Brother' airs Sundays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8 pm ET on CBS and Paramount+.

Stephen Colbert to play late-night host on CBS' 'Elsbeth' after 'Late Show' cancellation

"The Late Show" may be ending, but Stephen Colbert has already booked another late-night role — sort of. The comedian, 61, will play a late-night host in an upcoming Season 3 episode of the CBS dramedy "Elsbeth," sources say. The show, a spinoff of "The Good Wife," stars Carrie Preston as an attorney and de facto detective. CBS declined to comment. The news was first reported by Vulture. Colbert's appearance as a guest star on another CBS show will be notable in the wake of the network's controversial decision to cancel "The Late Show." But even before that shock news was announced, Colbert expressed interest in popping up on "Elsbeth" — ideally, as a dead body. While speaking to "Elsbeth" star Wendell Pierce on "The Late Show" in February, Colbert playfully asked, "Will you talk to somebody over there? Because I keep asking CBS, I want to be a corpse on one of these shows." He joked, "I want to be the body that's found behind the pile of lettuce boxes." Pierce assured Colbert he could "make that happen." "Elsbeth" will return for its third season on Oct. 12. Numerous other stars have had guest roles on the series, including Jane Krakowski, Retta, Rob Riggle, Nathan Lane, Matthew Broderick, Keegan-Michael Key, Alan Ruck and Laurie Metcalf. Colbert's "Late Show" will end in May 2026, he announced July 17. The surprise move sparked outcry and claims that CBS canceled the show to appease President Donald Trump, given Colbert is a prominent critic. However, CBS said it was "purely a financial decision against a challenging backdrop in late night." Colbert's "Elsbeth" appearance will mark a somewhat rare acting role for the comedian. In recent years, he also had a voice role in the animated film "Despicable Me 4" and appeared in one episode of the sitcom "Girls5eva" as a fictional songwriter. Before "The Late Show," Colbert flexed his acting chops every night on Comedy Central's "The Colbert Report," on which he played a fictional conservative pundit, also named Stephen Colbert. Colbert has not said what he might do next after "The Late Show." But while interviewing comedians Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers late last month, he alluded to the possibility of starting his own podcast. Colbert said to Yang and Rogers, the hosts of "Las Culturistas," "I'm going to need a gig soon, so sell me on podcasting. Is it fun?" Contributing: Ralphie Aversa, USA TODAY

Anne Burrell's friends ‘can't believe' she meant to end her life: ‘She was always smiling'

Close friends of late chef and Food Network star Anne Burrell are in shock and disbelief that the charismatic gourmand ended her life. The 'Worst Cooks In America' star's death was ruled a suicide due to acute intoxication from a combination of drugs according to the New York City medical examiner's office. Sources close to the 55-year-old chef and cookbook author, survived by husband Stuart Claxton, say she was in great spirits just hours earlier. Brian Zak/Page Six 'She looked like she was having the time of her life at Improv,' a source close to Burrell told The Post, trying to make sense of her sudden passing. 'Who knows what happened after that. It's all sort of puzzling. She lived life. She was not a downer – she lived. For her, everyday was a party in Anne's world. She lived every day. Everyone was shocked. There was no one that was like, 'the last time I saw Anne she was in the gutter.' Advertisement And friends acknowledge the spiky haired chef partied hard, but feel she may have made a spur-of the moment decision while inebriated which she'd never make otherwise, leading to tragedy. 'For it to be the night of the performance [doesn't make sense]. She nailed it. She was on Cloud 9. She couldn't wait for it. It was such a moment,' the source added. Burrell was found unresponsive in her Brooklyn home on June, 17, with diphenhydramine (commonly sold as Benadryl) ethanol (alcohol), cetirizine (allergy medicine) and amphetamine in her system. It is not clear if Burrell had a prescription for an amphetamine-based medication, or she had taken a street drug containing the stimulant. Advertisement 6 'Who knows what happened after that. Getty Images for City Harvest She was 'discovered in the shower unconscious and unresponsive surrounded by approximately (100) assorted pills,' according to a police report cited by the New York Times. Weeks before her death, Burrell appeared to be relishing the excitement of her new project, sharing a selfie with a group of her improvised comedy friends and another selfie inside an improv studio in Brooklyn, teasing her June 16 show. 'Soooooo… as I have mentioned I have been taking Improv classes @thesecondcitytc and having an ABSOLUTE blast!!!' she wrote. Advertisement 'She was having so much fun with this group of new friends. Anne just loved making friends. She put herself out there. Everywhere she goes, she'd make friends. She loved the party, she loved being around people, she loved entertaining,' the first source said. Phil Casaceli, Burrell's former business partner at Phil and Anne's Good Time Lounge, the restaurant the pair ran together from May, 2017 to April, 2018 in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn told The Post he was also shaken by the news. 'I was like, 'No way. I don't believe it.' It doesn't all make sense. She goes out, she has a great night. I don't believe it,' Casaceli said. 'That [the drugs] with alcohol – to me it just seems like an accidental thing. To me, it just doesn't add up. She was always smiling.' 6 Anne Burrell with celebrity chef Bobby Flay at an opening of his restaurant Gato in New York in 2014. Maybe if she made it through the night, and got her stomach pumped [she would have been okay],' the third source said. A fourth source, a friend of Burrell's, previously told Page Six: 'I know she kind of struggled — once she was on TV and was on her way to be a TV celebrity chef,' the friend told Page Six shortly after the chef's passing. Stephen Colbert's New Gig Revealed Following 'The Late Show' Cancellation

Colbert has landed a guest role on 'Elsbeth' after previously asking to play a "corpse" on the CBS seriesNEED TO KNOW Stephen Colbert has landed a guest role on Elsbeth season 3 The news comes weeks after CBS canceled The Late Show with Stephen Colbert Colbert will be playing a late-night talk show host in an episode of ElsbethWeeks after CBS canceled Stephen Colbert's The Late Show, the comedian has landed a new gig. PEOPLE has learned that Colbert will guest star on Elsbeth season 3. Better yet, art will imitate life, as he will play a late-night talk show host. CBS declined to comment when reached by PEOPLE. Elsbeth stars Carrie Preston as the titular Elsbeth Tascioni, an attorney from Chicago who utilizes her equally unique and quirky perspective to help the New York Police Department solve crimes. The show also stars Wendell Pierce as the NYPD captain overseeing Elsbeth, and Carra Patterson plays an NYPD officer who befriends Elsbeth. Colbert will join the star-studded list of celebrities who have made guest appearances on . The show, a spinoff of The Good Wife and The Good Fight, kicked off with a True Blood reunion between Preston and Stephen Moyer. Additional season 1 guest stars included Jane Krakowski, Linda Lavin, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Retta, Blair Underwood, Gina Gershon, Keegan-Michael Key, Laura Benanti and more. The list of guest stars only grew larger for season 2. It included Nathan Lane, Vanessa Williams, Pamela Adlon, Vanessa Bayer, Laurie Metcalf, Eric McCormack, Matthew Broderick, Jordana Brewster, Alyssa Milano, Mary-Louise Parker, David Alan Grier and Ethan Slater, to name a few. Colbert previously voiced his desire to appear on . Pierce stopped by The Late Show in February, and Colbert asked the actor if he could help him fulfill his dream "to be a corpse on one of these shows." "I want to be the body that's found behind the pile of lettuce boxes," Colbert pleaded. Pierce responded with a laugh, "I can make that happen. I know a guy who knows a guy. We can get you on." News of Colbert's new gig comes after he announced that was ending in May 2026 during the July 17 episode. "Before we start the show, I want you to know something that I found out just last night. Next year will be our last season. The network will be ending The Late Show in May," Colbert, who began hosting the show in 2015, told the studio audience. "It's not just the end of our show, but it's the end of The Late Show at CBS. I'm not being replaced," he added. "This is all just going away. And I do want to say that the folks at CBS have been great partners." In a statement shared with PEOPLE, CBS called the move "purely a financial decision against a challenging backdrop in late night." "It is not related in any way to the show's performance, content or other matters happening at Paramount," the statement continued, with the network expressing "admiration, affection, and respect" for Colbert, which it added "made this agonizing decision even more difficult." The timing of The Late Show's cancellation came days after Colbert criticized the network's parent company, Paramount, for reaching a $16 million settlement with President Donald Trump earlier in the month. The settlement also came in the midst Paramount's plans of a merger with the entertainment company Skydance, a move that would require approval from Trump's administration.
