MARAVAI LIFESCIENCES INVESTIGATION INITIATED BY FORMER LOUISIANA ATTORNEY GENERAL: Kahn Swick & Foti, LLC Investigates the Officers and Directors of Maravai LifeSciences Holdings, Inc.
On February 25, 2025, the Company disclosed that it would delay filing its annual report on Form 10-K for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2024 and fiscal 2024 earnings release due to an error in revenue recognition that 'resulted in approximately $3.9 million in revenue being recorded in the final week of the second quarter of 2024 upon shipment when it should have been recorded in the first week of the third quarter of 2024 upon receipt by the customer.' The Company also required additional time to 'complete its assessment of a potential non-cash impairment charge related to goodwill associated with its previous acquisition of Alphazyme LLC.'
Thereafter, the Company and certain of its executives were sued in a securities class action lawsuit, charging them with failing to disclose material information in violation of federal securities laws, which remains ongoing.
KSF's investigation is focusing on whether Maravai's officers and/or directors breached their fiduciary duties to its shareholders or otherwise violated state or federal laws.
