Tanushree Dutta says she is swamped with interviews after her emotional video, affecting her ‘low-key sadhana' lifestyle
Taking to her Instagram Stories, Tanushree shared, 'I'm swamped with interviews and haven't been keeping well either. I've lived a slow, low-key sadhana lifestyle the last few years. I'm trying the best I can. Please bear with me. I'll talk to everyone slowly, slowly.'
She added, 'Pooja was over by the time I was able to finish my interview and sit at the temple.'
This message comes shortly after Tanushree Dutta spoke to News18, where she made startling claims about being under threat. Drawing a parallel to the tragic demise of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, she said, 'The Bollywood mafia gang is huge, and like Sushant, my life is also in danger. There is an attempt to kill me too.'
Earlier this week, Tanushree posted a troubling video in which she appeared visibly shaken. 'Guys, I'm being harassed in my own home. I just called the cops. I got worried and called the police. They came and asked me to visit the police station to file a formal complaint. I'm probably going tomorrow or the day after. I'm not well. I've been harassed so much in the last 4-5 years that my health has deteriorated,' she said in the video. The actor also claimed that she is unable to hire maids as they are being planted at her house.

In the caption, she wrote, 'I'm sick and tired of this harassment!! It's been going on since 2018 #MeToo. Aaj fed up hokar maine police ko call kiya. Please someone help me! Do something before it's too late.'
In another video, Tanushree shared that strange noises outside her house were disturbing her sleep.
Tanushree Dutta first made headlines in 2018 as one of the pioneers of India's MeToo movement. She accused actor Nana Patekar of sexually harassing her on the sets of Horn Ok Pleassss.

‘Cat Meat Tastes Better Than Human': Kerala Man's Grisly Instagram Story Triggers Probe
Last Updated: A video of Shajeer, a lorry driver from Cherpulassery, killing a cat and sharing it on Instagram has sparked outrage in Kerala. Police are investigating and trying to locate him. A disturbing video of a man killing a cat and sharing the footage on Instagram has triggered outrage in Kerala, prompting a police investigation. The accused has been identified as Shajeer, a lorry driver from Cherpulassery in Palakkad district. The video, posted as an Instagram Story from the account 'Shajeer_Tool', first showed the cat being fed. What followed was far more horrifying as another clip showing the cat's head and body parts separated was uploaded. As the footage circulated on social media, users flagged it to the police. Cherpulassery police have launched a probe and are verifying the authenticity of the video. Preliminary findings suggest Shajeer is currently in Tamil Nadu. The police are trying to trace his exact location. According to Kerala Kaumudi, when questioned informally about the act, Shajeer allegedly said, 'Cat meat tastes better than human meat." Authorities are still trying to establish where the video was filmed. The incident has sparked widespread condemnation. Under Section 325 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, killing or maiming an animal is a punishable offence. The new law, part of the overhaul that replaced the Indian Penal Code, clearly states that anyone who kills, poisons, or renders an animal useless can face up to five years in jail, a fine, or both. The act may also attract charges under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960, which lays down additional penalties for causing unnecessary pain or suffering to animals. While extreme cases of consuming pets are rare in India, this is not an isolated incident. In Chennai, residents in July 2025 sounded the alarm over a group of youths from the Narikorava community allegedly trapping and killing residential cats for meat, later selling it to roadside eateries as chicken or mutton biryani, according to a report by the Times Of India. Pet owners across areas like Tiruvottiyur and Ambattur complained of missing cats, calling for urgent police action. view comments First Published: August 04, 2025, 22:09 IST Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. Panchayat Actor Faisal Malik Defends Anurag Kashyap's Rants: ‘Imaandaar Aadmi Satak Jata Hai'
Faisal, who began his acting journey with Kashyap's cult film Gangs of Wasseypur, described the filmmaker as someone who's worn multiple hats. Panchayat actor Faisal Malik has come out in strong support of filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, offering an empathetic view on the director's often fiery social media posts. In a chat with Siddharth Kannan, Faisal explained that Kashyap's outbursts should be seen not as impulsive tantrums but as passionate reactions of a man deeply invested in the craft of filmmaking. Faisal, who began his acting journey with Kashyap's cult film Gangs of Wasseypur, described the filmmaker as someone who's worn multiple hats including director, writer, producer, showrunner, and poured his heart into every role. 'If you look at Anurag Kashyap's work, you will understand why these outbursts happen. He is extremely loyal. Aur imaandaar aadmi tedha hota hai thoda sa. Satak jata hai," he said, suggesting that Kashyap's honesty and integrity often manifest as emotional reactions. The actor emphasised that Kashyap's commitment to his artistic vision has made him a trailblazer, not just in the kind of stories he tells, but also in the talent he has nurtured. 'He has given several amazing directors to the industry. They are all doing so well today. This proves he is extremely dedicated to cinema," Faisal noted, underscoring that Anurag's influence goes beyond his own filmography. Faisal further added, 'So, whenever someone wrongs him or wants him to compromise with his craft, woh satak jaate hai. When it comes to cinema, he is a great man." Known for his powerful performance as Prahlad in Panchayat, Faisal's own trajectory reflects a deep appreciation for rooted, honest storytelling—values he clearly associates with Kashyap. The web series, which gained popularity during the pandemic, resonated with audiences through its simplicity and emotional depth. Featuring an ensemble cast of Neena Gupta, Raghubir Yadav, Jitendra Kumar, and Chandan Roy, Panchayat has become a household favourite and a benchmark for small-town narratives told with heart.
