Smartwatches are so much more than just a clock on your wrist. These handy little devices let you make phone calls and answer texts without even needing to hold your phone. And now, they even double as fitness trackers, allowing you to monitor your heart rate, steps, and more. There's no denying that smartwatches are cool, but they're also expensive.
Thankfully, we were able to find a deal on a durable military smartwatch from Walmart. Normally priced at $80, you can grab this Mingwear Military Smartwatch for just $26 at Walmart. It has a two-inch HD touchscreen display and a two-way speaker, allowing you to make phone calls and receive notifications from messaging and social media apps. A fully charged battery should last you up to a week on a single charge, and it should only take a couple of hours to recharge. Along with the smartphone functions, there is also a plethora of fitness features to take advantage of.
The watch will continuously monitor things like your steps, heart rate, and sleep patterns. But it can also track exercise data for a specific sport or activity. Simply select your activity from the sports mode settings and start your workout. Additionally, it's waterproof and drop-resistant, so it's suitable to wear while swimming or during high-impact sports.Shoppers say the Mingwear Military Smartwatch competes with the more expensive smartwatch brands out there, with one shopper saying, "This watch is amazing. It's great, if not better than the Apple Watch. The battery life is outstanding!"

Applications Open for DIGIMON ALYSION Beta — GeekTyrant

I have very limited experience with the Digimon Card Game that launched in 2020/2021 (depending on where you live), but I did enjoy that. Now, Bandai Card Games has announced that applications for the closed beta test of Digimon Alysion are open now until August 3 at 1:59 AM UTC! Digimon Alysion is a mobile game 'based on the widely popular Digimon Card Game ' that appears to basically be Digimon 's equivalent of Master Duel , Pokémon TCG Live , or MTG Arena . Digimon Alysion is a mobile game for smartphones based on the widely popular Digimon Card Game, which is available in four different languages to consumers around the world. The app brings the excitement of the trading card game to both Android and iOS mobile devices—allowing players to build decks with their favorite Digimon and engage in thrilling card battles against others. One cool feature is that Digimon Alysion will have an original story set in the world as the Digimon Liberator comic and novel. There will also be new characters and Digimon as well as Digimon following brand new evolution lines. Digimon Alysion does not have a release date for the full version, but this closed beta test is a good sign. The test period will be August 20025 with a maximum number of 10,000 participants. When it does eventually drop, Digimon Alysion will be available on Android and iOS. I know that I cannot wait to be able to more easily engage with the Digimon Card Game !

Apple iPhone 17 Pro: Revised Leak Reveals Unprecedented Design Secret

The next iPhones are less than a month away. A recent report that seemed to relate to the iPhone 17 Air has now been updated to indicate that no, it's about the iPhone 17 Pro, after all. But there's something much more interesting hiding in the shadows of the new story. You can read my original story here, but the new update includes something that no iPhone has ever had before: different battery sizes for the iPhone based on where it will be sold. The news came from prolific leaker Majin Bu, who perhaps spoke too soon with their latest leak, which claimed to show the battery for the upcoming slim phone, nicknamed the iPhone 17 Air. They've now had to correct what they said. 'Due to a miscommunication with my source, the information I reported yesterday is incorrect,' Majin Bu has now admitted on X. Instead, they're directing readers to their latest post. In a scorched-earth policy, the original post now links instead to one headlined 'iPhone 17 Pro: Unveiling the New Battery with Steel Case,' which reveals that the information was referring to quite a different phone, the iPhone 17 Pro. The new post does not mention the mistake and indeed the word Air never appears in the story. Some of the new story is similar to the original except there's no longer any reference to the capacity of the new battery. Instead, there's an arguably much more interesting: that the L-shaped battery will come in two different versions. As you will know, U.S. iPhones no longer have physical SIM card trays. Until now, that extra real estate has been filled by a spacer. According to this updated report, for the very first time, Apple will make two different iPhone batteries: one for the U.S. market and a smaller one for international territories (which Majin Bu refers to as the Chinese version, though it's not thought that the eSIM only option for U.S. iPhones is about to be replicated anywhere else. 'The version for the U.S. market is wider, designed without the need to accommodate a physical SIM. This layout maximizes internal space, with a battery extended in width for optimized capacity without compromises,' the new report says. Which means, you've got it, U.S. iPhones could have longer battery life than other countries' models. By how much, we don't know, but every extra bit of battery size is to be welcomed.

Microsoft CEO sends a surprising message on quantum computing

Microsoft CEO sends a surprising message on quantum computing originally appeared on TheStreet. We're used to Big Tech and Microsoft () being deep in AI. But now, Microsoft just made quantum feel a whole lot less sci-fi. CEO Satya Nadella isn't pitching a pipe dream, and if you thought you'd have to wait decades, think again. On Microsoft's latest earnings call, Nadella hailed quantum as 'the next big accelerator in the cloud,' and unlike most tech hype cycles, he came with receipts. 💵💰💰💵 What we see now is bigger than a quarter; it's a total reshaping of a cloud strategy, which could completely upend the AI race. Microsoft's AI-cloud engine keeps gaining steam Microsoft's fourth-quarter FY2025 results once again blew past expectations, while underscoring the depth of its cloud-AI momentum. Revenue hit a superb $76.44 billion with earnings per share at $3.65, comfortably topping Wall Street it was Azure's 39% year-over-year growth that stole the show again, supercharged by surging AI workloads and sticky enterprise demand. Investors focused on supply and not demand as the key limiter. Microsoft flagged a coming $30 billion capex surge in expanding data center capacity, responding to the AI-driven pressure on compute availability. That massive bet is already paying dividends. Microsoft Cloud's mix continues to show off sticky migration trends, growing inference activity, and healthy adoption of AI tools like Copilot. The software, infrastructure, and services flywheel is spinning faster each quarter. Analysts took note. KeyBanc upgraded the stock to Overweight, slapping a $630 price target, citing Microsoft's robust ability to maintain double-digit top and bottom-line growth. Mizuho and Melius Research chimed in, too, hailing MSFT stock a 'must-own' as it inches closer to a $4 trillion market cap. That said, over the past year, Microsoft stock has killed it, posting a 27% bump year-to-date, compared to just a 7.8% jump in S&P 500 returns. Near-term momentum has also been impressive, with Microsoft boasting a 24% return, dwarfing broader-market gains. Consequently, it's now trading at remarkably lofty pricing multiples, at over 34 times non-GAAP earnings, roughly 8% higher than its five-year average. Similarly, it's trading at 12x forward sales, approximately 10% higher than its five-year average. Microsoft leans into quantum milestone with Atom Computing Microsoft's quarterly call wasn't simply about earnings, but signaled a major paradigm shift. CEO Nadella used the July 30 earnings call to spotlight quantum as a now-now story. "The next big accelerator in the cloud will be Quantum, and I'm excited about our progress," he said. That progress is far from being hypothetical. Nadella grounded the claim with real-world momentum: "In fact, earlier this month, we announced the world's first operational deployment of a Level 2 Quantum computer in partnership with Atom Computing."That July 2025 milestone effectively turned Microsoft's quantum initiatives from a lab curiosity into a public inflection point. He further said, "This is how we will continue to think and make investments, with decade-long arcs, while making progress every quarter.' Microsoft is building Magne, a robust neutral-atom quantum system with Atom Computing. Construction begins in fall 2025, with early workloads targeted for 2027. The effort blends Azure's cloud exploits with Atom's hardware, which is part of a bigger bet on fault-tolerant systems. Across Big Tech, quantum is heating up just like the AI arms race. Google and IBM are backing superconducting paths, and though Microsoft is chasing a different lane, the goals are converging. More News: Warren Buffett unloads $1.2 billion of this popular tech stock Wall Street firm drops bold S&P 500 call after White House trade moves Jim Cramer sounds off on tariffs, hot economy, and interest rate pressures Nadella bets that Microsoft's momentum in AI and cloud can effectively compound into quantum, and that bet just got a major signal boost. Quantum's inflection point is coming into view The quantum computing industry has been building a healthy head of steam of late. In June, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang put it bluntly: 'There's an inflection point happening in quantum computing,' suggesting that hybrid quantum-classical systems could potentially offer real-world utility soon. Billionaire tech magnate Bill Gates is even more bullish, predicting usable breakthroughs within three to five years. On top of that, the economics are catching up to the breakthrough technology as well. McKinsey's 2025 Quantum Technology Monitor pegs the quantum ecosystem's potential at a whopping $100 billion by 2035. Similarly, Fortune Business Insights projects it could jump over $1 billion in 2024 to $12.6 billion by 2032, clocking a powerful compound annual growth rate of close to 35%. Investors aren't waiting for perfect conditions. Cathie Wood's ARK Invest is leaning into the space with its thesis: 'The only way to predict the future is to invent it.' Put simply, the framing around quantum is shifting at a breakneck CEO sends a surprising message on quantum computing first appeared on TheStreet on Aug 2, 2025 This story was originally reported by TheStreet on Aug 2, 2025, where it first appeared.
