Sufi Motiwala and Urfi-Dolly Javed lock horns post 'The Traitors' fallout: 'Don't use Me for TRPs,' says Sufi

Time of India5 days ago

The reality show 'The Traitors' may be over for
Urfi Javed
and her sister Dolly, but the drama has followed them outside the house. In a fiery turn of events,
Sufi Motiwala
hit back at the Javed sisters on Instagram after being accused of hypocrisy and being called out by Urfi for alleged abusive behaviour.
Sufi, in his statement, made it clear that he never mentioned any names in his earlier post condemning homophobia. 'If the shoe fits, wear it,' he wrote and accused the sisters of dragging him into a 'manufactured' drama to grab headlines.
'Don't use me for TRPs,' he said bluntly, rejecting the narrative being spun around him.

In his lengthy Instagram post, Sufi also detailed his experience inside 'The Traitors' house. He claimed Urfi had influenced the house to vote him out 'just for vibes' rather than actual strategy, and said that her actions had left him feeling isolated. 'Imagine the mental turmoil when no one in a house of 20 wants to talk to you because Urfi Javed hates you,' he wrote.
Despite admitting he didn't like her, Sufi maintained that he had the decency to apologise for using harsh language. He drew a distinction between the online backlash Urfi often faces and his own comments, saying, 'The entire internet calling you names is different from me reacting after being cornered.'
Urfi Hits Back
Never one to stay silent, Urfi fired back with multiple Instagram Stories, accusing Sufi of playing the victim while being abusive on national TV. She recalled a past incident where he allegedly sent her an abusive DM, which she deleted only after his team — who also represent her — requested it.
Urfi also defended her sister Dolly and called out Sufi's double standards saying, 'Aap sab bol sakte ho, but jab jawab milta hai toh victim card khelte ho?' She mocked his comments on age and said that both she and Dolly were being unfairly targeted. 'If you're so young and fragile, why did you join the show in the first place?' she asked.
The feud shows no signs of cooling, with both sides continuing to spark issues online.

Patrick Mahomes faces backlash from an angry dad after denying a fan's autograph

Patrick Mahomes faces backlash from an angry dad after denying a fan's autograph (Image via Getty) NFL superstar Patrick Mahomes was at a celebrity golf event when a little fan asked for an autograph. A kindly but firm response from the QB, 'Can't sign for everyone... can't make everybody happy'. Ouch! That set off a viral moment that quickly spiraled into a much bigger conversation. Suddenly, a dad was on camera, upset and emotional, and the internet was ablaze. It all went down during the 2023 American Century Championship in Lake Tahoe. Dad Blasts Patrick Mahomes at the golf course showdown A clip resurfaced this week, reigniting the debate. The X page of NFL sports writer, Dov Kleiman, shared it with the caption, 'Yikes: Chiefs superstar QB Patrick Mahomes rejects a young fan who asked him for an autograph while in the middle of the golf tournament. The kid's father went OFF on Mahomes for this.' A kid asks Mahomes for a signature. The QB, mid-swing prep, politely says he can't even, rules prohibit pausing the round for endless autograph requests. One or two attempts are okay, but too much keeps the play slow. That's when the kid's father steps in, visibly upset: Dad: 'Yeah, you can... You can just make one kid happy out of a hundred.' Mahomes: 'I'll make 99 sad.' Dad: 'That's alright, one out of 99, at least it ain't zero percent.' by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Free P2,000 GCash eGift UnionBank Credit Card Apply Now Undo What looked like a genuine dad's frustration with sports etiquette quickly sparked stormy commentary. Was Mahomes being a rude superstar—or just doing what athletes must sometimes do to keep the event fair? The athlete-fan tightrope between their expectations vs. reality Well, according to many, this moment isn't unique; it's pretty much a recurring tension in modern sports. Ask Cam Newton, who popped in to defend Bengals wideout Ja'Marr Chase after he refused an autograph at the airport. Newton emphasized that: 'You're not your circus monkey... if you're a real fan... You have to respect him as a human being first, athlete second.' Athletes might be public figures, but they're still people. Balancing fan requests with professional boundaries is… tricky. The debate spread fast online: Do athletes have an obligation to oblige every autograph request? Or should they be free to decline for personal or professional reasons? Rulebooks vs. Emotions: Organizers often enforce rules to keep the play fair. Players must respect that. But emotions tied to a child's disappointment can still sting. Fan Culture Shift: Social media fuels intimacy, and the line between fandom and entitlement grows thinner. But the backlash Mahomes got shows that this isn't just about collecting signatures. Well, it's about a deep emotional connection. That Lake Tahoe moment wasn't just a viral clip; it's a mirror showing our modern fandom culture. Some say yes, Mahomes should bend to that one request. Others argue: rules are rules, and stars deserve boundaries.
