Inside Cat Deeley and Patrick Kielty's relationship as they announce split
Cat, 48, and Patrick, 54, relocated from Los Angeles to London in 2020, after having lived abroad for more than a decade.
In a joint statement the couple have said: 'We have taken the decision to end our marriage and are now separated. There is no other party involved.
'We will continue to be united as loving parents to our children and would therefore kindly ask for our family privacy to be respected. There will be no further comment.'
The So You Think You Can Dance host has been a staple of British TV since the late 1990s and even moved out to the US to present the dance competition.
Cat moved her entire family out to the states following her success but she and her comedian husband have moved back to London since.
She took over from Holly Willoughby on This Morning in 2024, reportedly keen to work alongside Rylan Clark as a co-host.
Cat was unveiled as the new host of This Morning, alongside Ben Shepard, in February 2024.
Earlier this year, it was revealed why Cat did not attend the funeral of Patrick's mother in County Down, Northern Ireland.
The presenter said she wanted to be there for her sons Milo, nine, and James, seven, before and after they finished school as they grieved the loss of their grandmother.
Her representative confirmed to MailOnline: 'Cat remained at home to be there for her two young children before and after school on this very sad day.
Patrick is the host of The Late Late Show on Ireland's RTE One channel, he also presents a Saturday morning programme on BBC Radio 5 Live.
The star has recently interviewed the likes of Paul Mescal, Andrew Scott, Jean Claude Van Damme, Take That and Jamie Dornan.
He was announced as the host last year, taking over as the show's fourth-ever presenter from Ryan Tubridy.
Before his turn as a late-night host, he was a stand-up comedian and toured in 2022 for the first time in seven years.
In 2003, Patrick co-presented the talent competition show Fame Academy on BBC One alongside his future wife, Cat.
Cat and Patrick met on the set but it would be years before they got together – partly as the Stars in Their Eyes presenter was married at the time.
After her split, she revealed she would 'love to tie the knot' one day and really admired her parents' 30 year marriage.
Slowly the friendship between the model and comedian devloped into a relationship and in 2012 they got married at an intimate ceremony in Rome, Italy.
He had won her over by flying out to Los Angeles to see her on her birthday, paying for her and all her friends.
'That's quite possibly the most romantic thing anyone has ever done for me,' Closer magazine quoted her as saying. 'And he was just sitting there hanging out with 12 of my friends, making everybody laugh.
'It was romantic, noble, kind of amazing and pretty hard not to fall in love with him.'
They moved back to their North London home, ditching the £3.8 million Beverly Hills mansion with its lavish amenities – including pool, gym and sunshine.
The pair kept their kids fairly out of the spotlight but did occasionally post snaps together as a family on special occasions.
Cat and her family now reside in a £4.9 million 1950s home in leafy Hampstead, with Harry Styles as one of their famous neighbours.
Together the couple have two sons; Milo born in January 2016 and James who arrived two years later in June 2018.
Before welcoming James, Cat had shared with The Daily Mirror: 'I would love some more. But I have got to get on with it if I do.
'When you go for your check-ups they call you a 'geriatric mum'. That is the terminology they use, I swear.'
Before falling for Patrick, Cat was in a five-year relationship with public relationships executive, Mark Whelan.
They got together in 2000, tying the knot despite the presenter – then in her late 20s – saying she wasn't sure about marriage just yet. More Trending
The divorce was finalised in February 2006, as Cat upped sticks to the US and admitted that her focus was on work at the time.

During her American adventure, she began dating Expats star Jack Huston, nephew of Anjelica Huston, although this romance was short-lived and fizzled out by 2011.

Helen Garner praises Dua Lipa as ‘serious and sensitive' after musician adds Australian author to her book club
Helen Garner has praised Dua Lipa as a 'serious and sensitive' interviewer after being announced as the British superstar added Garner's 2014 courtroom drama to her monthly book club. The Melbourne author's This House of Grief will be the first Australian inclusion on the popular list, taking Garner's 2014 non-fiction courtroom drama to the singer's growing global audience. Lipa said Garner's book offered a 'sharp and forensic analysis of the human condition,' announcing the selection in an Instagram post. 'Although Helen has been writing for almost 50 years, her work is new to me and it's a thrilling discovery,' Lipa wrote. 'She's one of the most fascinating writers I have come across in recent years, and I'm sure that, like me, you'll find yourself diving into her back catalogue.' Garner will join 23 high-profile authors championed by Lipa after the August publication of the interview, which the author described as 'fruitful'. 'I found her an impressive person, serious and sensitive and deeply interested in the difficult questions that the book raises,' Garner said. This article includes content provided by Instagram. We ask for your permission before anything is loaded, as they may be using cookies and other technologies. To view this content, click 'Allow and continue'. Lipa foreshadowed Garner's addition ahead of her interview series' move to streaming on Spotify in June. 'It wouldn't be my book pile without at least one harrowing story,' Lipa said at the time. Garner won international acclaim for This House of Grief, a retelling of the trial of Victorian man Robert Farquharson over the murder of his three sons. Farquharson drove his three children into a dam in south-western Victoria in 2005. The book received special mention in Garner's 2016 win of the US$150,000 (A$207,633) Windham-Campbell literary prize. The author first thought the award was hoax after an email in her junk folder from someone at Yale University who had 'good news' and wanted her phone number, she said at the time. Garner, 82, came to local prominence after the 1977 publication of Monkey Grip but has enjoyed soaring popularity outside Australia in the last decade. New editions of several of Garner's books were republished in the UK and US in 2023 and 2024. Lipa shared a preview of her analysis announcing This House of Grief's selection on Instagram. '[Garner's] not looking for monsters – her interest lies with ordinary people who seem to have been pushed beyond their emotional limits,' Lipa wrote. 'As the trial progresses, I found myself questioning my own reactions, asking myself less, 'Did he do it?' and instead, 'Is it possible to have empathy for this man, even if he did the worst thing imaginable?'.' The 29-year-old singer has attracted more than 450,000 Instagram followers and nearly 100,000 YouTube subscriptions to her Service95 platform, which launched monthly book club picks in 2023. Authors of each of Lipa's monthly book picks have sat for extended interviews with the singer, analysing their work and sharing music recommendations. The lone exception is Gabriel Garcia Marquez, author of 1967's One Hundred Years of Solitude, who died in 2014. Garner's is the 24th book to be included and the first by an Australian author, in a list dominated by American books but spanning Patrick Radden Keefe's Say Nothing to Guadalupe Nettel's Still Born. Lipa has previously singled out Albanian author Ismail Kadare as a personal inspiration, saying the novelist's work encouraged her connection with her Kosovan-Albanian heritage in a keynote speech for the Booker Prize 2022 ceremony. 'I often wonder if authors realise just how many gifts they give us,' she said.

Harry Potter fans just realising what Aunt Petunia is doing in kitchen scene
Harry Potter fans are only just realising a hidden detail from the first movie involving Aunt Petunia, which only people who have read the book might understand It has been almost 24 years since the first film in the Harry Potter franchise was released, and fans are loving them just as much now as they did then, with many patiently awaiting the upcoming TV adaptation. The films were based on JK Rowling's book series of the same name, and follow 11-year-old orphan Harry Potter as he finds out he's a wizard and starts attending the magical Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, The film series features a swathe of famous British and Irish actors - including Fiona Shaw playing Harry's not-so-nice aunt Petunia Dursley, whom he lives with alongside his uncle Vernon and cousin Dudley, played by Richard Griffiths and Harry Melling respectively. Of course, Daniel Radcliffe plays the titular role. While the Dursleys only make brief appearances in some of the films, they're a crucial part of the storyline as Harry has lived with them since the day his parents died when he was just one year old. But as with any book-to-film adaptation, it'd be impossible to include all the important details from the books that shows the true relationship between Harry and the Dursleys. Today (July 31) is Harry Potter's birthday, according to the book and films - and fans discussing the franchise have only just spotted a detail in the first movie that only people who've read the book will understand. In the beginning of the film - when Harry receives his first acceptance letter from Hogwarts - he carries the letter into the kitchen where Petunia can be seen standing in the background, wearing an apron as she stirs something in a large pot on the stove. Taking to Reddit, one user pointed out this small detail and said that it shows something that's only every mentioned in the book. "In Harry Potter and the Philosopher's (Sorcerer's) Stone, Aunt Petunia is visible in the background of this scene dyeing Dudley's old clothes grey for Harry's uniform. This is only ever mentioned in the book," the Reddit user wrote as the shared a photo from the film scene. In the book, it is explained that all of Harry's clothes are hand-me-downs from his cousin Dudley. And as Harry is due to start a muggle school at the start of the new school year, Petunia dyes some of Dudley's old school uniform items. Meanwhile, Dudley was preparing to start his new independent school, Smeltings Academy, which his father also attended. He is seen wearing the maroon uniform in the same scene as he sits at the kitchen table with Vernon. Several people were amazed at learning this fact, as they took to the comments to share their bafflement that they hadn't noticed this before. "i saw this as a kid and thought she was making soup out of leather," one person admitted. "The amount of times I have seen this movie is crazy, and I've read the book once, absolutely loved it, and yet I didn't even notice this. That's actually really cool!! Just wish they kept Peeves in the film!" a second person wrote. However, a third person said: "In a deleted scene/a different cut of the film Harry asks her about the clothes." Another person asked why Petunia would do this, to which another person explained: "Because the Dursleys are pieces of shit to Harry and they'd rather send him to muggle high school with old dyed clothes instead of just buying him a uniform."
