Fortuner group blocks Jeep with family inside
As per reports, the incident began when the Fortuner, bearing HR registration number attempted to block the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon from the left side. The Jeep was traveling with his wife and child on a busy stretch of Rajpur Road, opposite the Central Secretariat before Bahal Chowk in Dehradun.

The Fortuner driver signaled aggressively, asking Jeep driver to stop the vehicle. When he did not comply, the Fortuner swerved too close, to block the passage. Once the vehicles stopped, the driver and passengers of the Fortuner exited their car and approached the Jeep. They shouted at Chaudhary, damaged the vehicle, and demanded that he step out. Despite the presence of his wife and young child inside the Jeep, the attackers continued to hit the vehicle.

Chandigarh: Waris Punjab De chief and Khadoor Sahib MP Amritpal Singh , currently lodged in Dibrugarh jail under the National Security Act (NSA), is willing to undergo a dope test , his lawyer said. The statement comes in response to allegations of drug abuse levelled by his own associates, as mentioned in a Punjab Police chargesheet filed in the Ajnala court last month. Advocate Imaan Singh Khara, who serves as the legal advisor and chief spokesperson of Akali Dal Waris Punjab De recently met Amritpal in Dibrugarh jail. He told the TOI, "Bhai Sahib (Amritpal Singh) has said that instead of levelling false allegations, Punjab Police may get his dope test done. He has said if Punjab police want, they can come to Dibrugarh to get the test done." Khara added that Amritpal has demanded that once he undergoes a dope test, the political leaders accusing him of drug abuse should also be made to take the test. As per the police chargesheet, Amritpal's two associates, Bhagwant Singh alias and Varinder Singh Fauji, in their disclosure statements recorded before the police, claimed that Amritpal was "hooked on drugs" in Punjab and "consumed them in Assam's Dibrugarh jail too". Chennai: Kishore Saravanan, the stranded medical student from Russia had sent a desperate audio message to his father in Cuddalore on Thursday saying he was about to be sent to the war front on Aug 2. His father Saravanan, who met the media here on Friday, said that his son was subjected to conflict training and was being forced to consume steroids to withstand the pain. "Crying for help, my son said no one can see him alive if he was taken to the warfront on Aug 2," said an emotionally charged Saravanan. "Kishore said he was tortured, forced to consume chemicals and steroids, and given military training. He begged us to save him," Saravanan said urging the govts to act fast to rescue his son before he was sent to the warfront. Kishore Saravanan, a third-year medical student in Russia, was booked in a drug peddling case and has been taken away by the police there. Kishore claimed he was framed in the case and that Russian authorities had forcibly enlisted him in the armed forces there. Missing wife back day after Kolhapur man cremates body recovered from Krishna River he thought of hers
Kolhapur: A woman reported missing for 11 days returned to her home at a village in this western Maharashtra district, a day after her husband cremated a body recovered from the Krishna River in Miraj believing it to be that of his wife's, police on Friday said. The Miraj police are now ascertaining the identity of the deceased woman whose last rites were performed by Mahesh Thanekar (32), a resident of Udgaon village in Shirol taluka. Thanekar had on July 23 lodged a missing person's complaint with the Jaysingpur police in Kolhapur, stating that his wife, Sanjana, had gone missing since July 19. On July 29, the Miraj police told Thanekar that they had recovered a woman's body and that he should visit Miraj Civil Hospital to identify the victim. The police said the face of the woman, whose body was recovered from the Krishna, was swollen to the extent that Thanekar was initially unable to recognise her. But based on her clothes, which were like the one Sanjana was wearing when last seen, Thanekar concluded that it was his wife, the police said. The body was handed over to him and the last rites were performed on July 30 at Udgaon.
