While the first glimpse was launched in front of a packed IMAX auditorium filled with media professionals and fans alike, director Nitesh Tiwari and Namit Malhotra who were present at the launch was seen opening about the film.
When asked director Nitesh Tiwari what he hoped to achieve by bringing this epic to the big screen, he said, 'For me, it's about the pride we should feel for the great culture we have in our country. If we can evoke that and show the world what we stand for, that would be an achievement—and that's what I'm hoping to do with this.'

Namit Malhotra, the producer of Ramayana expressed his disbelief that the film's first visual asset was finally out for the audience to experience. He said, 'It has been a very, very long dream, to put our hearts and souls into this and do justice to it. My only aspiration is: how do we take our greatest culture, our greatest history, and share it with the world?'. He also added that his company is leaving no stone unturned in its effort to deliver the most spectacular cinematic experience possible.
Written by Shridhar Raghavan, the film boasts an ensemble cast including Sai Pallavi as Sita, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman, among others.
Produced by Namit Malhotra's Prime Focus Studios and 8-time Oscar winning VFX studio DNEG in association with Yash's Monster Mind Creations. Oscar-winning legends Hans Zimmer and A.R. Rahman also join forces to craft a new cinematic symphony.
Ramayana is being filmed for IMAX and will release worldwide in two parts, Part 1 in Diwali 2026 and Part 2 in Diwali 2027.

As we near the end of the first quarter of the 21st century, The New York Times has done what cinephiles love most, compiled a 'best of' list. This time, it isn't for the past year, but for the past 25 years in cinema. While some movie lovers eagerly tallied how many titles they've seen and bookmarked the rest, others were quick to object to the absence of their personal favourites. How did they come up with the list To determine the best films of the past 25 years, The New York Times polled over 500 filmmakers, actors, and other prominent figures from the film industry. One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest spin-off in works, likely to be made from Chiefs point of view
Washington DC [US], July 5 (ANI): A spin-off for the small screens of an all-time movie classic, 'One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest' is in the works, reported Deadline. The Oscar-winning movie was based on the book of the same title, written by the late writer Ken Kesey. The makers of the Jack Nicholson starrer film revealed that they have shared an agreement with the late writer Ken Kesey's wife (the book on which the movie was based) for the TV series adaptation of the film. The makers are planning to present the aftermath of the escape from the character Chief's point of view. Speaking on the indie filmmaking podcast CK Cafe, producer Paul Zaentz, the nephew of the film's original producer Saul Zaentz, as quoted by Deadline disclosed, "Just now, I've signed an agreement with Ken Kesey's widow to develop a TV series which we'll make through the point of view of the Chief for the first season. Following the first season, we'll see what happens to the Chief after he escapes [from the psychiatric hospital]," as quoted by Deadline. According to the outlet, Kesey, author of the film's source material, famously disavowed Milos Forman's 1975 classic, in part because it diverged from his novel, which was told from the point of view of Chief Bromden, aka the 'Chief' (memorably played in the film by Will Sampson). The makers have not yet revealed the details of the project. 'One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest' revolves around a rebellious convict -- played in the movie by Jack Nicholson -- who is sent to a psychiatric hospital for evaluation in 1963 Oregon and encourages his docile companions to take more control of their lives and defy the tyrannical head nurse, according to Deadline. Chief Bromden is the towering half-Native American patient who pretends to be deaf and mute. Over time, the antics of the protagonist, McMurphy, coax him out of his disguise, and he becomes a symbol of powerful resistance and emancipation. In the podcast CK Cafe, Zaentz confirms that Fathom Events will re-release 'One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest' this month on more than 1,000 screens across the U.S. to mark the 50th anniversary of the movie, reported Deadline.
