A Central Alberta couple is celebrating a $100K lottery win.
Caroline residents Branden and Nicole Fay bought their winning Lotto Max and Extra ticket at Eckville Gas & Snacks.
They won their $100,000 prize by matching the last six digits in the May 9 Extra draw: 2941777.
Nicole says they were in disbelief when they saw how much they won.
'Branden left for work, and I opened the cupboard and saw that we had forgotten to check this ticket, so I did it,' she said in a Monday news release. 'I used some pretty choice words, and then I called Branden.'
'I was in a meeting and saw that I had 15 missed calls,' Branden said. 'My heart was racing—thinking something had happened at home.'
Nether is sure what to do with the winnings.
'It doesn't feel real,' Branden said. 'I think we are still in a bit of shock.'
