Ohio State football flips 4-star 2026 receiver from TCU
It's no secret the Ohio State football program has pulled in the best wide receiving talent over the last few years, and it just landed another one. Ever since Brian Hartline burst onto the scene as the wide receivers coach he has upped the talent at the position. He's still there, just with the new fandangled title of Offensive Coordinator.
The Buckeyes have a deep receiver room already and have already pulled in two blue-chip pass catchers in the 2026 class, including five-star talent Chris Henry Jr. He joins four-star prospect Jaeden Ricketts as a tandem of talented guys who will continue that tradition, but now there's another that has joined the fold.
According to an announcement on his X account, another four-star receiver, Brock Boyd, has flipped his commitment from TCU over to Ohio State, making it three dynamic receiving prospects in the 2026 cycle.
Out of Southlake Carroll High School, the same high school as former OSU and Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers, Boyd is ranked as the No. 58 receiver and 374th overall prospect in 2026 according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings. But, as we have seen in the past, the OSU staff does a fantastic job of identifying talent at the position and you can probably expect him to get a bump based on this news going forward.
Last season, as a junior, Boyd hauled in 111 passes for 1,875 yards and 19 touchdowns, helping his team to a 15-1 record and just a whisker away from winning a state title.
With the commitment, Ohio State now has 11 verbal pledges in the 2026 class with plenty of more room to add to a haul that is quickly rising up the national rankings. OSU now has the No. 2 ranked overall class according to the 247Sports Composite Team Rankings and will look to continue the momentum it currently has on the recruiting trail.
We'll have more recruiting news as it becomes available, but it sure looks like the Buckeyes are back up among the elite, as you would expect after taking home the inaugural 12-team College Football Playoff national title.

Texas A&M 2026 3-star commit recently worked out with two Aggie greats

Texas A&M's 2026 recruiting class is stacked with elite talent, as all 22 commits bring their own specific skill sets, including one of the lower-ranked prospects in the cycle, three-star athlete/quarterback Kaeden Johnson, who is slated to play tight end with the Aggies in the fall of 2026. Like many of the program's commits, Johnson shut down his recruitment and is all-in with Texas A&M ahead of his senior season with Fort Bend Marshall. This summer, knowing that his future is in College Station, Johnson has reportedly been working out with two Aggie legends to refine his skill set and prepare for his position change. In a recent photo on X, Johnson, alongside former Texas A&M standout left tackle and current longtime Atlanta Falcons blindside blocker Jake Matthews, and former Texas A&M tackle Germain Ifedi, who last played for the Cleveland Browns during the 2024 season. Working out at the Apollo Performance & Sports Medicine center in Houston, Texas, the Aggie family is strong, and the connections are limitless, especially for the future players dedicated to sticking with the program and developing, which has become a rarity in the transfer portal age. During his 2024 junior season, Johnson passed for 2,109 yards and 25 touchdowns, completing 60% of his passes, while also rushing for 571 yards and six touchdowns. Johnson has proven that he can play QB at the next level, but Texas A&M tight end coach Christian Ellsworth deserves credit for striking while the iron is hot, knowing that Johnson has been sky rocking locally before his OV. According to Rivals, Johnson is currently ranked as the 34th-best athlete and the 109th-best prospect in Texas. Florida's legacy sophomore linebacker among ESPN's sleeper picks for 2025 season

Florida football looks to earn its first College Football Playoff appearance in 2025, but the road to the postseason is a long and grueling one for the Gators. Much like last season, the Orange and Blue face a veritable gauntlet of opponents that includes a punishing Southeastern Conference schedule. The key players in this coming fall's efforts are pretty clear, ranging from Heisman Trophy hopeful quarterback DJ Lagway to a trio of potential first-round picks in offensive tackle Austin Barber, edge defender Tyreak Sapp, and center Jake Slaughter. But this quarter cannot carry all the weight on their shoulders. Which leads us to ESPN's list of sleeper players for college football's top 25 teams in 2025, in which UF lands at No. 19. Florida's feature player is linebacker Myles Graham, who is a legacy through his father, running back Earnest Graham who played played for the Gators from 1998 to 2002. The younger Graham experienced a successful true freshman campaign in 2024 and is expected to take the next step this year. "We saw what Graham was capable of as a freshman for the Gators with 30 tackles. He also had three tackles for loss, one sack, an interception and a forced fumble," Harry Lyles Jr. begins. "With a line that should only be stronger in front of him, along with playing next to Grayson Howard, Graham has the potential to take another step in 2025. The great Florida teams of the 21st century have all had good linebacker play, and it feels like Graham could play that part for this team as it looks to rise again." Graham is a key component to Florida's defensive corps, which Lagway told Gators Wire "is going to be really strong this year." Jeremy Fears Jr. shares late night social media post on goal to reach Final Four

Jeremy Fears Jr. has made it clear what his goal is during his remaining time as a Spartan: hang another Final Four banner. Fears was putting in some late work at the Spartans' practice facility on Wednesday night, posting a picture on his Instagram story shortly after 11 p.m. ET. The picture posted was of the numerous Final Four banners hanging in the gym, with a caption stating "Tryan add one more." You can see the post from Fears below -- courtesy of Michigan State Content: Fears nearly helped lead Michigan State to the Final Four this past season, with the Spartans falling one game short in an Elite Eight loss to Auburn. The Spartans last reached the Final Four in 2019, but this past season's Elite Eight finish was the farthest they have gone since then. Michigan State will enter next season as a preseason top 25 team and certainly has the potential to contend for a Final Four appearance in 2026. I personally wouldn't say that is the preseason expectation or prediction from myself, but I love seeing Fears make it clear that's his goal. Hopefully, he is able to achieve this major feat before his college career is done.
