Jeremy Fears Jr. shares late night social media post on goal to reach Final Four

USA Today2 days ago
Jeremy Fears Jr. has made it clear what his goal is during his remaining time as a Spartan: hang another Final Four banner.
Fears was putting in some late work at the Spartans' practice facility on Wednesday night, posting a picture on his Instagram story shortly after 11 p.m. ET. The picture posted was of the numerous Final Four banners hanging in the gym, with a caption stating "Tryan add one more."
You can see the post from Fears below -- courtesy of Michigan State Content:
Fears nearly helped lead Michigan State to the Final Four this past season, with the Spartans falling one game short in an Elite Eight loss to Auburn. The Spartans last reached the Final Four in 2019, but this past season's Elite Eight finish was the farthest they have gone since then.
Michigan State will enter next season as a preseason top 25 team and certainly has the potential to contend for a Final Four appearance in 2026. I personally wouldn't say that is the preseason expectation or prediction from myself, but I love seeing Fears make it clear that's his goal. Hopefully, he is able to achieve this major feat before his college career is done.

MSU hockey receives No. 1 seed in recent NCAA Tournament bracketology post

We are still months away from first puck drop in the college hockey season, but it's never too early to start thinking about the NCAA Tournament. College Puck NXT has released its latest update of the 2025-26 bracketology for the upcoming college hockey season. Michigan State is once again expected to be the in mix, with the Spartans landing as a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament bracket projection. Michigan State is the No. 1 seed in the Sioux Falls, S.D. region and paired up with Sacred Heart in the first round. UConn and North Dakota are the other two teams projected to be in the Spartans region. Michigan State was a No. 1 seed in this past year's NCAA Tournament but were upset by Cornell in the first round. The Spartans were also a No. 1 seed in the 2024 NCAA Tournament but were bounced in the second round by rival Michigan. Watch former Texas A&M QB throw after devastating 2024 injury with North Carolina

Former Texas A&M quarterback Max Johnson suffered a season-ending injury in the first game of his first starting season with North Carolina, which was devastating, to say the least. After two successful seasons with LSU, which included 2,814 yards and 27 pass touchdowns during the 2021 campaign, Johnson's brief backup/starting stint with the Aggies will continue to be remembered based on the Georgia native's toughness, similar to his father, former NFL quarterback and Super Bowl champion Brad Johnson. Johnson will enter the 2025 season knowing that this his his final shot to prove his worth at the next level, and while his 2021 performance solidifed his ability to lead an offense, especially in the SEC, he will need to either match, or get close his final season with the Tigers for NFL scouts to take notice. Either way, this could be one of the great comeback stories to start off the 2025 season. Last season, Johnson's brother, tight end Jake Johnson, followed him to North Carolina and dealt with his only injury issues while appearing in two games, recording two receptions for 21 yards. On X, Max Johnson posted a video of himself throwing and working through his progressions during a recent workout, as his leg looks completely healed, while his mobility is back to form. This fall, Johnson will battle with transfer QB Gio Lopez and freshman Bryce Baker for the starting job. I can safely say that both the Texas A&M and LSU fan base are rooting for Johnson to succeed during his final season with the Tarheels, will will officially introduce NFL Hall of Famer Bill Belichick as the program's newest head coach.
