Venugopal Naidu Says Hindrise's Disaster App Will Change the Game for Rural Citizens
Illuminating about the Disaster Relief Mobile App, Venugopal Naidu Puvvada said, 'We are planning to launch this revolutionary app in disaster response for Bharat. Our goal is to connect 10 crore rural citizens with real-time alerts, helpline access, and rescue planning using just a simple smartphone interface. We are eyeing AI-driven disaster mapping to pinpoint high-risk zones.' Bridging the Urban-rural Rescue Gap
India's rural belts, especially in disaster-prone states such as Bihar, Jharkhand, Assam, Odisha and West Bengal, have long suffered from weak disaster communication frameworks. Floods, sudden earthquakes, heatwaves, and cyclones frequently hit these regions, yet response times and early warning systems have been grossly inadequate. The Hindrise Disaster App aims to change this existing scenario by offering 24×7 real-time alerts for floods, earthquakes, heatwaves, and lightning strikes, offline functionality in low-network zones, One-tap SOS system that connects to nearby volunteers and district authorities, AI-powered disaster mapping, and language support in 13 regional tongues
Narendra Kumar, Chairman of the Board at Hindrise, said, 'We have conducted a survey in Bihar and Jharkhand on ground level, and the response by the masses surprised us and exceeded all our expectations. More than 5000 citizens have shown their interest in Hindrise's Disaster Relief Mobile App. This app is going to be our answer to rural helplessness. We will deploy 1,000+ volunteers in high-risk zones and aim to build a pan-India disaster response grid. This Disaster Response App will function as the nervous system of that grid. This app will be a part of our initiative, Built-in Bharat, for Bharat.'
The app will be co-developed in partnership with grassroots tech innovators from IIT-BHU and disaster experts from the NIDM (National Institute of Disaster Management) with expert backing from Hindrise IT Cell.
Venugopal Naidu Puvvada said, 'After the launch and smooth run of this app, we expect approximately 41% improvement in flood evacuation speed and around 50% increase in early warning reach through the app notifications and community alerts. Through Hindrise Social Welfare Foundation, we plan to roll out this app across 13 disaster-prone states, including Bihar, Odisha, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Assam, Uttarakhand, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Kerala, Uttar Pradesh, and Himachal Pradesh. We hope rural citizens will welcome this emergency responder in their pocket.' A New Era in Rural Resilience
In the end, Narendra Kumar left a powerful message, 'If we can reach 10 lakh families by Monsoon 2026, we will prevent what used to be unavoidable tragedies. As Sitamarhi in Bihar is my birthplace, I've closely witnessed the impact of floods and other disasters. I can understand the pain families go through when they encounter such a situation. Losing loved ones due to a lack of awareness is unfortunate and can be avoided. Thus, through Hindrise Social Welfare Foundation, we are coming up with the Disaster Response App that will be unveiled and named soon.'
As climate disasters grow in scale and frequency, Hindrise's Disaster Response App could well mark the beginning of a new era in India's rural resilience powered by local heroes, tech innovation, and the will to never let silence cost another life.
