
SCCI strengthens partnerships to elevate management practices
STDC's delegation was headed by Maryam Saif Al Shamsi, Assistant Director General of the Support Services Sector at the Sharjah Chamber, and included Amal Abdullah Al Ali, Director of STDC, along with Dr Khaled Maqlad, Consultant for SMEs and Entrepreneurship Development at SCCI.
During the tour, STDC signed nine cooperation and strategic partnership agreements with prestigious universities, academic and training institutions, and prominent official entities across France, the UK, and Spain. Notable institutions involved include the Granada Chamber of Commerce's School of Management, Kellogg College at the University of Oxford, Cambridge Training College Britain, and London Strategy Centre (LSC).These partnerships aim to facilitate the exchange of expertise, promote knowledge-sharing, and jointly develop innovative and globally accredited training and academic programs. The collaborations will focus on enhancing strategic leadership, business management practices, and executive leadership development.
Maryam Al Shamsi reaffirmed the Sharjah Chamber's commitment to strengthening STDC's capabilities in delivering internationally accredited training programmes. She highlighted the strategic objective of establishing STDC as a leading global hub for advanced training.Amal Al Ali emphasised the strategic partnerships established during the tour, reinforcing the Centre's ongoing efforts to strengthen global collaborations. In 2023, a fruitful collaboration with the School of Management at the Granada Chamber of Commerce led to the launch of the 'Strategic Business Leadership' programme.
Meanwhile earlier the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) announced the launch of the 'Business Impact' Podcast during the Sharjah Real Estate Exhibition 'ACRES 2025', organised by the Chamber in collaboration with the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department (SRERD) from January 22nd to 25th.
The Podcast aims to highlight the importance of Sharjah as a strategic destination for business management and investment in the region.
The podcast, to be released via Sharjah Chamber's social media platforms, featured local and international business owners and entrepreneurs who share their successful experiences in Sharjah.
It discusses various economic issues and how businesses can benefit from the unique business environment Sharjah offers, including investment opportunities, government facilitation, and the role of the Chamber of Commerce in fostering economic growth.
The first episode of the 'Business Impact' Podcast, which was broadcast during ACRES Exhibition, hosted Khalifa Bin Harib Almheiri CEO of Alrasikhoon Real Estate.

SCCI celebrate 26 partakers graduating from 'Business Leadership'
Held under the theme "Begin Your Successful Leadership Journey", the programme was organised by the Sharjah Training and Development Centre (STDC) affiliated with the Chamber, in cooperation with the Spain-based University of Salamanca. It focused on equipping participants with advanced methodologies to foster sustainable leadership, draft strategic plans and innovative solutions in work environments, and cultivate future-oriented organisational cultures. The ceremony was attended by Abdallah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of SCCI; Mohammad Amin Al Awadi, Director-General of SCCI; and Maryam Saif Al Shamsi, Assistant Director-General for the Support Services Sector at SCCI, along with representatives from the participating government entities. The second edition of the programme attracted high-potential talents from both government and private sectors. Its training modules covered key areas, including business psychology, artificial intelligence (AI) in next-generation institutional leadership, design thinking in challenge management, innovative strategy development, risk management techniques, creative institution design, and organisational innovation. In his remarks, Abdallah Sultan Al Owais said that the Strategic Business Leadership Programme aims to produce a new cadre of qualified leaders, reflecting the fundamental shifts in institutional leadership concepts. 'Digital technologies require unconventional leadership capabilities. Accordingly, the Sharjah Chamber adopts an advanced leadership development framework focused on adaptability and continuous growth, equipping leaders to merge practical experience with contemporary management knowledge,' he added. For her part, Maryam Saif Al Shamsi n oted that the programme was designed to offer a comprehensive educational experience combining theoretical content with applied practice. It featured workshops led by accredited international experts and practical capstone projects. She added that the programme concluded with a field study tour to Spain in collaboration with the University of Salamance, offering participants a unique opportunity to explore global best practices and gain hands-on experience and global insights that will enhance their careers and strengthen their leadership skills. The graduation ceremony featured a visual presentation outlining the programme's milestones and the comprehensive training offered to participants. The programme integrated academic insights from renowned global institutions with hands-on learning through workshops and project work. This approach underscored the programme's value in equipping participants with both theoretical expertise and practical leadership competencies. The ceremony concluded with Abdallah Sultan Al Owais and Maryam Saif Al Shamsi honouring the programme's participants, representing the Sharjah Electricity, Water, and Gas Authority (SEWA) and other government and private entities operating in Sharjah. Participants were awarded the 'Certified Internal Consultant' certificate, formally recognising their entry into Sharjah's distinguished community of business leaders and strategic decision-makers.
