The Devil Wears Prada 2 is officially under way. Here's everything we know
It has been nearly two decades since icy fashion magazine editor Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep) sneered at a cerulean sweater and made the life of her new fashion-clueless assistant Andy Sachs (Anne Hathaway) a living hell. Now, the two characters are preparing for a return, along with several other familiar faces and Oscar winner Kenneth Branagh.
The film's distributor, 20th Century Studios, announced its production on Tuesday with a teaser featuring pitchfork-heeled red pumps and iconic lines from the original, including Priestly's famously dismissive 'that's all'.
Alright, everyone, gird your loins. Here's everything we know about the sequel so far.
What will it be about?
The original film, which premiered in 2006 and was based on the novel by Lauren Weisberger, saw recent university graduate Sachs take a job as an assistant to the ice queen Priestly, editor of high fashion magazine Runway. Sachs quickly realises she is completely out of her depth, especially given the lack of support from fellow assistant Emily (Emily Blunt).
The sequel will reportedly see Priestly struggle against the decline of the magazine industry, eventually forcing her to make amends with her former assistant Emily who has become the head of a luxury brand that advertises with Runway.
Will Meryl and Anne return?

Jamie Lee Curtis is 'very excited' about Murder, She Wrote movie
Jamie Lee Curtis is "very excited" about her new Murder, She Wrote movie. The actress will step into the shoes of Dame Angela Lansbury to play mystery writer-turned-amateur detective Jessica Fletcher in a new film based on the long-running TV show of the same name and Jamie has admitted she can't wait to start filming on the project. She told Entertainment Tonight: "Oh, it's … happening. We're a minute away, but yeah, [I'm] very excited. Very excited. "But I'm tamping down my enthusiasm until we start shooting. I have a couple of other things to hustle, but then I'll get to enjoy that work." Murder, She Wrote starred Lansbury - who died in 2022 aged 96 - and ran for 12 seasons from 1984 to 1996. Bosses at NBC had previously planned to revive the show with Oscar winning actress Octavia Spencer, but reports from early 2014 suggested the project had been canned. Curtis is currently busy promoting her new movie Freakier Friday with Lindsay Lohan - a sequel to the pair's 2003 comedy Freaky Friday - which is due for release in early August. The Oscar-winning movie star previously revealed she loved working with Lohan again and admitted the younger actress "taught" her "so much" on set for a second time. She told Variety: "She has taught me so much. She has her team, where her two people would be standing on either side of a camera holding a big light. "It's Lindsay lighting - that would have been good branding - they hold lights so that we look better. "So, I've learned a lot from her already. We had a good time. We love each other." She added to the publication of the second film: "It's a movie for today. It is a happy, nostalgic, funny, sweet, heartfelt, Disney movie right at the end of the summer. "There haven't been a lot of movies for women, and this is a love letter to every mother, grandma, sister, cousin and daughter." Curtis has several other projects in the works including a TV version of Patricia Cornwell's book Scarpetta alongside Nicole Kidman, scam movie Sender and spy drama Spychosis.

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban planning to acquire Portuguese residency but will retain Nashville home
Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban are moving ahead with plans to acquire residency in Portugal but will keep Nashville as their primary base, a source close to the stars has revealed. Portuguese media outlet SIC Notícias initially broke the story on Tuesday and claimed the Oscar-winning actress has submitted residency paperwork to the country's Agency for Integration, Migration and Asylum (AIMA). According to SIC Notícias, Kidman was recently house hunting around the Costa Terra Golf & Ocean Club in Comporta while taking a break from shooting Practical Magic 2 in the United Kingdom. Costa Terra is popular with global A-listers including George Clooney and Paris Hilton and is also a base for royal family member Princess Eugenie. It is understood Kidman, 58, and Urban, 57, already own an apartment in Lisbon's ritzy Parque das Nações district. Initial reports suggested Urban did not accompany his wife and their two daughters to the visa appointment. However, a source close to the Oscar-winning actress told that Urban was unable to join his family due to his tour schedule and will also have an appointment at the visa office. 'Keith is scheduled to have an appointment at the visa office at a later date as his tour schedule conflicted with the date that Nicole and their daughters were able to secure while Nicole is currently shooting Practical Magic 2 in the UK,' the source said. understands applicants must be physically present to apply for a residency visa in Portugal. The source also clarified that the family will continue to be based 'primarily' in Nashville but are eager to spend more time in Portugal. 'Keith, Nicole and the girls will continue to live primarily in Nashville however they do own property in Portugal,' the source said. The sunny European nation is popular with celebrities and jetsetters because of its ideal climate, favourable tax benefits and relative privacy. The Dead Calm star and her country star husband own an impressive globe-spanning property portfolio spanning Sydney, Los Angeles, New York and Nashville. The family's main home is a sprawling 20-room mansion in Nashville that the stars acquired in 2008, two years after their fairytale wedding. In Sydney, the couple own six combined apartments overlooking Sydney Harbour in tony Milson's Point where they often host New Year's Eve parties. The Kidman-Urban clan also own a breathtaking 45-acre rural property called Bunya Hill in the Southern Highlands, complete with cattle and alpacas.

Gird your loins (and your wardrobe) for The Devil Wears Prada 2
Anna Wintour may be leaving Vogue but Miranda Priestly is here to stay. Meryl Streep has been seen prepping for The Devil Wears Prada 2 on the streets of New York, with Priestly sporting her signature silver, side-swept hair, a sleek leather skirt from designer Gabriela Hearst, and shielding those professionally judgmental eyes with a pair of pitch-black Jimmy Choo sunglasses. While Streep's character in the movie always has the final word – 'that's all' – as the editor-in-chief of Runway magazine, it's the return of Anne Hathaway as Andy Sachs that has fashion fans zooming in on photographs of costume labels for inspiration. In the original movie from 2006, Chanel dominated Sachs' wardrobe, once Nigel (Stanley Tucci) helped her dispose of that cerulean blue sweater and introduced the character to tweed and thigh-high boots. This time the film's costume designers are casting the net wider, although so far, no Prada. If you want to get ahead of the film's planned May 1, 2026 release date and steal Hathaway's looks, start with the Gabriela Hearst multicolour embroidered maxi-dress. While the label isn't Chanel, the price tag is just as impressive, with the dress available from Gabriela Hearst for $13,400. The pale blue Fendi handbag Sachs carries is slightly more within reach of mere, mortgaged mortals at $2680 (although it's currently sold out). More accessible and inspiring is an Agolde denim maxi-skirt worn by Hathaway with a simple white singlet from Toteme. While the originals are difficult to find, a quick trip to Cotton On or Kmart could put you on the right track, if it's unlikely you'll be standing near Wintour or the equally fearsome Streep playing Priestly in the near future. The sold-out Chanel velcro sandals, which have a touch of the German backpacker (from the right side of Berlin) about them, worn with the everyday outfit by Hathaway, debuted in former creative director Virginie Viard's autumn 2022 collection and are now being sought out on second-hand sites.
