Wizz Air Abu Dhabi Cancels All UAE Flights Until June 30
Wizz Air Abu Dhabi has cancelled all flights to and from the UAE until June 30, the airline confirmed on Tuesday, citing regional airspace disruptions following Iran's recent missile strikes.

Flights Diverted After Iran's Strike on US Base in Qatar
On Monday night, several Wizz Air flights were diverted to alternate airports after multiple airspaces temporarily closed in response to Iran's attack on a US base in Qatar.
The airline joins other carriers in rerouting and rescheduling flights amid increasing regional tensions.
More Disruptions Across the Region
Emirates also rerouted a number of its incoming flights to Dubai, while Abu Dhabi and Sharjah airports issued advisories to travellers regarding possible delays and disruptions.
Operations at Dubai International Airport briefly paused on Monday evening but have since resumed.
Meanwhile, Kuwait, Qatar, and Bahrain have temporarily closed their airspaces, affecting a wide range of regional flight operations. Indian airlines have also reported disruptions on routes to the UAE and wider Gulf region.

In this context, the UAE welcomed Pakistan's active role as a non-permanent member of the Council and was briefed on Pakistan's preparations for its forthcoming presidency of the Council in July 2025. Both sides underscored the value of continued coordination on Security Council matters and reaffirmed their shared commitment to advancing peace, stability, and constructive solutions to regional challenges. In the multilateral arena, they reviewed the two countries' close cooperation in ensuring the success of the 2026 UN Water Conference, which will be co-hosted by the UAE and Senegal. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining regular consultations in order to advance common objectives for the mutual benefit of their peoples. Air Arabia launches new Sochi route, expands Russia network to 6 cities
Air Arabia has inaugurated a new route connecting Sharjah to Sochi in Russia, operating six weekly flights. The new service brings the total number of Russian cities served by Air Arabia from Sharjah to six further deepens the airline's footprint in the country. Emirates extends Tehran flight suspension
Emirates has extended the suspension of its passenger services to the Iran's capital city of Tehran until July 5, citing "regional situation". The earlier suspension for all Dubai flights to Tehran was until June 30. In an update on its official website, the carrier said passengers "connecting through Dubai with final destinations in Iran will not be accepted for travel at their point of origin until further notice". Meanwhile, Emirates services to Iraqi city of Baghdad will resume on July 1, and Basra flights on July 2. Travellers are urged to check official airline channels for regular updates, the airline said, adding that it is "closely monitoring the developments". Meanwhile, Etihad Airways has suspended flights to Israel until July 15. The carrier added that passengers "transiting through Abu Dhabi to connect to cancelled flights will not be accepted for travel from their point of origin". In its latest travel update, flydubai said it expects to resume its full network operations from July 1, pending final assessments. The airline had earlier announced suspension of flights to Iran, Iraq, Israel, Syria and Russia's St. Petersburg until June 30. Air Arabia has also suspended operations to Iran, Iraq, Russia, Armenia, Georgia and Azerbaijan until June 30.
