Indian Man's Honest Take On Hong Kong's Cleanliness Reignites Civic Sense Debate
Last Updated: An Indian traveller's video has reignited a debate on civic sense after he shared his honest opinion on what truly distinguishes India from cities like Hong Kong. Social media is buzzing with debates surrounding civic sense, fueled by viral videos and discussions over public behaviour. Indian users are actively sharing experiences, often contrasting public spaces with those in other countries, and highlighting issues like littering, noise pollution and others. Amid this, an Indian traveller's video has reignited a debate on civic sense after he shared his honest opinion on what truly distinguishes India from cities like Hong Kong. According to the man, the difference is not in infrastructure or resources, but in people's behaviour. 'The only difference is cleanliness and civic sense," he said, pointing to perfect sidewalks and maintained flowerbeds along a beautiful riverside in Hong Kong. 'Kya hai foreign? Kuch bhi nahi hai foreign mein (What is foreign? There's nothing in foreign)," the man said in the video, challenging the fascination with distant countries. Moving ahead, he compared the infrastructure of Hong Kong to that of India, noting that our country also has tall buildings, rivers and greenery. However, what's lacking is a collective sense of responsibility. 'The flowerbeds contain flowers, not discarded gutka packets. Nobody has used pan masala on them to change their colour," he continued. He went on to say that while these appear to be minor concerns, they eventually contribute to larger societal difficulties. 'We could replicate this at home by learning from other countries. These may not appear to be major issues, yet such small actions are causing India to fall behind. We are equally capable," he continued. The clip instantly grabbed the attention of the audience, prompting several reactions. An Instagram user wrote, 'Basic Civic Sense is needed." Another one mentioned 'You nailed it bro. You nailed it." One of them shared, 'Influencer in true sense." A person noted, 'Sirf saaf-safai hi nahin (Not just cleanliness), civic sense, etiquettes, manners, common courtesy and other conveniences." Someone added, 'India is just an incredible country, but people with 0 percent civic sense." 'It's a culture. That takes a lot of pressure and time to change." Talking about Civic sense, recently, Indians faced criticism after a video of a couple dumping their garbage at a roadside allegedly in Canada surfaced on the internet. ‘Choti Bacchi Ho Kya': Janhvi Kapoor Trolled For Carrying Pillow At Airport
Jahnvi Kapoor's big pillow once again caught the attention. Here's why she and the travel pillow are trending again. Janhvi Kapoor has turned heads at the airport once again, but this time, it's not her fashion doing all the talking. The actress has caught the paparazzi's attention with her now-famous travel essential, a big, fluffy white pillow. Dressed in a comfy grey co-ord set, Janhvi is spotted at the Mumbai airport, sporting a handbag and wired earphones. But all eyes were on her assistant, who was seen dutifully carrying the star's pillow, an accessory fans have come to associate with her frequent flyer persona. The viral video, shared by a paparazzi page on Instagram, quickly gathered thousands of likes and a flood of comments. While some fans found the moment endearing, calling her 'pretty and sweet," others weren't shy about poking fun. Comments like 'Choti bacchi ho kya" and 'So many tantrums" flooded the section, with one user hilariously adding, 'Kya kya dekhna padega bhagawan." View this post on Instagram A post shared by Instant Bollywood (@instantbollywood) The Pillow Troll is Not New For Janhvi Kapoor This isn't the first time Janhvi's pillow has stolen the spotlight. Back in 2023, she was seen at the same airport with a similar oversized cushion, dressed in grey pyjamas and an oversized tee. At that time, too, social media had a field day. A user had joked, 'Accha uske paas hi pillow hai, main idhar kabse dhoond raha hoon," while another quipped, 'Hum agar yeh karte toh log bolte ghar waalon ne nikaal diya kya." Not Just Janhvi, The Pillow Club Is Bigger Than You Think Interestingly, Janhvi isn't the only celeb who swears by a travel pillow. Stars like BTS singer Jin and Aamir Khan have also been spotted with their sleep essentials in tow. But while some fans appreciate the relatability, others don't quite get the trend. Janhvi Kapoor's Workfront Meanwhile, Janhvi Kapoor is all set to appear in Param Sundari, alongside Sidharth Malhotra. The film, already creating buzz, is slated for release on August 29. She's also teaming up again with Varun Dhawan for Shashank Khaitan's upcoming rom-com Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, produced by Dharma Productions and scheduled to release on October 2, 2025. So whether she's facing the camera or getting trolled for her travel style, Janhvi Kapoor knows how to stay in the spotlight, with or without the pillow.
