The actress, known for her fearless energy and bold spirit on the reality series, missed the shoot due to a minor traffic accident. The news was confirmed during the broadcast by fellow cast member and Director General Kim Dong-hyun. Kim explained, 'Ms. Ju Hyun had a minor traffic accident in the morning. Last Updated: The series is created and directed by Todd Harris, who previously worked as a storyboard artist on both Black Panther and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Marvel Animation has just unveiled the much-anticipated trailer for Eyes of Wakanda, the upcoming animated series set in the Black Panther universe. Slated to premiere on August 1 on Disney+, the four-episode limited series dives deep into Wakanda's rich past and introduces fans to the elite warriors of Hatut Zeraze, charged with a sacred mission — to protect Vibranium at all costs. Executive produced by Black Panther director Ryan Coogler, Eyes of Wakanda is Marvel's latest expansion of the beloved Wakandan lore. Initially scheduled for August 6, the release date was moved up to August 1, as confirmed in the newly dropped trailer. The show is part of Coogler's overall TV deal with Disney under his Proximity production banner. The story follows the Hatut Zeraze — a covert team of Wakandan warriors who are among the rare few allowed to venture beyond the country's borders. Their goal is to retrieve Vibranium artifacts scattered across the world, safeguarding the rare metal from those who wish to exploit it. Each episode is set in a unique place and time, offering viewers a globe-trotting, historical journey unlike anything seen in the MCU before. The voice cast includes Winnie Harlow, Cress Williams, Patricia Belcher, Larry Herron, Adam Gold, Lynn Whitfield, Isaac Robinson-Smith, Jacques Colimon, Jona Xiao, Gary Anthony Williams, Steve Toussaint, Zeke Alton, and Anika Noni Rose. The series is created and directed by Todd Harris, who previously worked as a storyboard artist on both Black Panther and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. His deep familiarity with the franchise ensures a visually stunning and narratively authentic addition to Marvel's expanding animated slate. Eyes of Wakanda is the first Black Panther-centric project since 2022's Wakanda Forever, which introduced new characters and explored the underwater world of Talokan. Fans eagerly waiting to return to the Afro-futuristic nation will now get to experience its legacy in animated form. First Published: Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's.
