Hoax bomb threat triggers alert at Delhi Airport's Terminal 3

New Delhi [India], June 27 (ANI): A bomb threat at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport's Terminal 3 early Thursday morning prompted a swift emergency response, but was later confirmed to be a hoax, officials said.
A crew member discovered a paper with a bomb threat on a flight at Delhi's Terminal 3 at 4:42 AM. After a search, the Delhi Fire Service declared it a hoax.
According to the Delhi Fire Service, a call was received at 4:42 AM, and a search operation was subsequently conducted.
Further investigation is underway to trace the source. (ANI)

West Bengal: Another key accused arrested in Kaliganj blast case, says police
Nadia (West Bengal) [India], June 28 (ANI): The West Bengal police have arrested another key accused in the Kaliganj bomb blast case in the Molandi area of Borochandghar under Kaliganj police station limits. The blast, which resulted in the tragic death of a minor girl, has now led to the arrest of a total of 9 individuals connected to the case. According to the police, the accused has been identified as Gaowal SK. 'In a late-night development, Gaowal SK, one of the key accused in the Kaliganj bomb blast case, was arrested by the Police. With this, the total number of arrests in the case has reached nine, out of the 24 individuals named in the FIR,' the West Bengal police said in an official statement. Earlier, on June 24, Krishnanagar police arrested four individuals in connection with the incident. The arrested accused were Adar Sk, Manowar Sk, Kalu Sk, and Anwar Sk. 'In an incident of explosion at Molandi, Borochandghar under Kaliganj police station area, which led to the death of a minor girl, 4 prime accused persons were arrested yesterday- Adar Sk, Manowar Sk, Kalu Sk and Anwar Sk. Kaliganj PS Case No. 534/25 dt 23.06.25 u/s 191(2)/191(3)/190/118(2)/109/305/103 BNS & 3/4 ES Act is registered. Investigation and legal proceedings are underway,' the police said in a post on X. On June 25, BJP MP Samik Bhattacharya made serious allegations regarding the blast, termed it as a 'well-thought-out attack' rather than a mere bomb blast, further claiming that the family targeted in the incident was not a voter or supporter of the Trinamool Congress (TMC). 'It was not a bomb explosion. It was a well-thought-out attack. The family on which the bomb was dropped is not a Trinamool Congress voter or a supporter. They were identified, then the bomb was thrown at father of the deceased child is saying that he is giving 24 hours' time and if there is no solution, then he will demand a CBI inquiry,' BJP MP said. A 13-year-old girl died in a bomb explosion during a victory procession organised by Trinamool Congress in Kaliganj police station area after the party swept Kaliganj Assembly bypoll. In a post on X, West Bengal police confirmed that the 13-year-old girl succumbed to her injuries sustained from the explosion. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee expressed shock over the incident and directed police to 'take strong and decisive legal action' against the culprits. (ANI)

AI-based CCTV cameras, traffic restriction: High security at Puri Rath Yatra
The Puri district administration has deployed AI-based CCTV cameras to monitor the festivities and ensure security, surveillance, including traffic management during the Ratha Yatra 2025, All rituals related to the Rath Yatra are being conducted as per schedule amid heightened security arrangements.(PTI) Speaking on the matter, Additional Director General of Police (Traffic), Dayal Gangwar, highlighted the significance of this technology in maintaining order and safety of devotees coming from cities, including Bhubaneswar and Konark. Gangwar informed that the AI-powered CCTV cameras are playing a crucial role in assisting with surveillance and security. "Yesterday, devotees followed the traffic restrictions and traffic regulation plan, and the same will remain in place today. We request everyone to cooperate with us in this... The arrangements made yesterday for devotees coming from Bhubaneswar and Konark will remain the same today... We request everyone to adhere to our restrictions... The AI system is greatly assisting us.", ADG Traffic Dayal Gangwar told ANI on Saturday. A sea of devotees gathered in Puri on Friday to witness the world-famous Jagannath Rath Yatra, as Lord Jagannath, along with his siblings Balabhadra and Goddess Subhadra, embarked on the ceremonial journey from the Shri Jagannath Temple to the Gundicha Temple. All rituals related to the Rath Yatra are being conducted as per schedule amid heightened security arrangements, with coordinated efforts from multiple security forces and district authorities. Speaking to ANI about the arrangements, Puri District Magistrate Siddharth Swain said, '...The yatra route is full of devotees. All rituals related to the Rath Yatra will be conducted on time. Police have been deployed since last night. This time, NDRF has also been deployed... Yesterday, we removed illegal 6-7 drones. Flying of drones over Shri Jagannath Temple and the Gundicha temple is not allowed.' A team of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has been stationed in Puri as a precautionary measure due to the high footfall and scale of the event. NDRF Deputy Commandant Naveen Rana said, "Our personnel are trained to handle all situations, including any medical emergency, structure collapse or any other. We had conducted four mock drills along with the District Administration here." The yatra drew lakhs of devotees, many of whom had travelled from different parts of the country and abroad to to witness the grand chariots of the three deities, Lord Jagannath, his brother Lord Balabhadra, and sister goddess Subhadra, at the Gundicha temple, where the deities reside for a week and then return to Jagannath temple. Meanwhile, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi extended a heartfelt welcome to devotees on the occasion of the annual Rath Yatra, urging them to participate with utmost faith and his message, CM Majhi said, 'Join the Rath Yatra with faith and devotion, witness the divine glimpse of Mahaprabhu atop the chariot, and receive His blessings.'

Case against MP Congress chief Jitendra Patwari for 'bribing' man to say he was fed human excreta
Madhya Pradesh Congress President Jitendra Patwari has landed in trouble over allegedly bribing a villager to claim he was being fed human excreta. (ANI/Sanjeev Gupta) According to police, the villager alleged in an affidavit that some Congress leaders took him to meet Jitendra Patwari, who then insisted the villager make allegations of being fed human excreta by the Mungaoli village sarpanch, and bribed him to do so. On June 25, Jitendra Patwari posted a video of himself sitting with two men, who were alleging that they were fed human excreta. Targeting the BJP-led Madhya Pradesh government, Patwari tweeted the over 8-minute clip with the caption, "Prime Minister Ji, @BJP4MP The jungle rule of power is crossing the limits of anarchy! A youth from the Lodhi community had "human excreta" stuffed in his mouth just because he asked for a "ration slip"!" Jitendra Patwari's tweet(X) Patwari further named BJP MLA Brijendra Yadav and said his supporters were behind the alleged incident. In the clip Patwari shared, the two men were seen crying, alleging they tried to file an FIR but the cops refused. "Why does #BJP consider Dalits, backward classes, and tribals as its enemies in Madhya Pradesh?" Patwari wrote, referencing an old incident from 2023 in which a tribal labourer who was urinated upon by another man. Patwari slammed chief minister Mohan Yadav, criticising the law and order in the state. However, according to Madhya Pradesh Police, the allegations of being fed human excreta turned out to be false as they were made on Jitu Patwari's demand. "Later, he (the villager) said that the allegations about this were false, and he made this allegation on Jitu Patwari's demand... Based on this, a case has been filed against Jitu Patwari and his aides under various sections of BNS," news agency ANI quoted SP Vineet Kumar Jain as saying. Reacting to the case filed against him, Jitendra Patwari said he would continue to raise his voice for the oppressed. "The opposition should fulfil its responsibility when there are atrocities on the farmers, Dalits and the government should take it positively and take action. The government, on the contrary, commits a sin which is not its duty," he told news agency ANI. (With ANI inputs)
