Punchestown Festival day 3 tips: Robbie Power's selections for Thursday
He has done nothing wrong all season. He found Lossiemouth too good in the Hatton's Grace before bumping into course specialist Bob Olinger, who is gone to the field on his holidays, at Cheltenham.
Teahupoo won this race last year and I think he'll be very hard to beat under Sam Ewing for Gordon Elliott.
Robcour's other runner Hiddenvalley Lake was very impressive when winning at Aintree earlier this month and it looks a match between him and Teahupoo, with the latter fancied to come out on top.
He'll be fine on the ground. He won on this sort of ground before so I don't see it being an issue.
Rocky's Diamond ran a very good race for Declan Queally and Shane Fitzgerald when fourth in the Stayers' Hurdle at Cheltenham. He's only a five-year-old and is one open to further improvement in today's feature.
Kap Ouest is an interesting runner in today's opening race, the Specialist Group Handicap Hurdle at 2.30, for Harry Fry, who has a good record with his runners at Punchestown, but The Other Mozzie is the one I like here for Gavin Cromwell and Keith Donoghue.
He won over fences at Ayr on Scottish Grand National day off a mark of 138 and is 19 pounds lower over hurdles. It doesn't always add up, but it's hard to overlook him and the other one I like the look of is Janes Harbour for Joseph O'Brien and Aidan Kelly, who is towards the bottom of the weights, with the jockey claiming five pounds off him.
With 23 runners, they'll go very hard in the Frontline Security Handicap Chase at 3.05. Tullyhill has been disappointing over fences and it's hard to fancy him, but I do like Jasko Des Dames for Henry de Bromhead and Darragh O'Keeffe.
He'll love the drying ground, is only a six-year-old and ran a very good race in the Grand Annual at Cheltenham when fifth behind Jazzy Matty. He's a great each-way bet in this.
Vanillier runs in the Mongey Communications La Touche Cup Cross Country Chase at 3.40 and was very impressive over the banks here back in February.
With the master of the banks on his back, he'll be very hard to beat in today's third race for the Cromwell and Donoghue team.
Custom Taylor is my fancy for the Conway Piling Handicap Hurdle at 4.15. He's snuck in here as bottom weight after being very game and very gutsy to win at Fairyhouse nine days ago.
If that race hasn't left a mark, he should be very competitive here.
It's very hard to look past Sixandahalf in the Close Brothers Irish EBF Mares Novice Hurdle after she was narrowly beaten by Air Of Entitlement at Cheltenham.
This two-mile trip should really suit on this track and on ratings, she comes out well on top.
In the first of today's Grade 1s, Barberstown Castle Novice Chase, Majborough looks set to go off a very short-priced favourite for Willie Mullins and Mark Walsh.
Would I be backing him at 2/5? Probably not. His jumping cost him victory in the Arkle Chase at Cheltenham.
He is by far the classiest of these horses and with a clear round of jumping he will win, with Only By Night expected to chase him home.
And Ksar Fatal looks the pick of Willie's in the bumper at 6.35, with Patrick taking the ride. He should take all the beating after winning on his racecourse debut at Gowran Park back in March.
Bet of the day - Sixandahalf - 4.50

150/1 Glorious Goodwood winner stings bookies as firms suffer 'big blow'
Qirat stole the Visit Qatar Sussex Stakes at Goodwood on Wednesday after none of the other runners in the race could get to the pacemaker. Supplemented for the Group 1 last week at a cost of £70,000, the Ralph Beckett-trained 150/1 outsider was a pacemaker for 1/3 favourite Field Of Gold. However, the race did not go to script, with Qirat keeping up the gallop to emerge triumphant under Richard Kingscote, despite the best efforts of Rosallion, who was a neck adrift at the line. Despite Qirat's huge price, a number of punters collected on him, with William Hill reporting that 10% of all bets they took on the race being on the gelding. Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: 'Like most, we were shocked to see Qirat steal the Sussex Stakes from the front, and it's cost us dearly. 'We're often happy to lay the rank outsiders in these big Group 1 contests, and often we're not punished, but this has been a big blow with around 10% of all bets placed being for the 150/1 winner. It will go down as one of the most expensive Sussex Stakes results in recent memory.' Meanwhile, one Ladbrokes punter in England remarkably turned £50 into £7,550 after taking a chance on the plucky outsider. Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: "Hardly anyone saw that result coming, but Qirat's Sussex Stakes upset left one punter in particular £7.5k better off in one of the biggest shocks we've seen at Glorious Goodwood."

Joe Brolly among contenders to be next Mayo manager as odds released
Mayo GAA announced the departure of Kevin McStay as the county's senior manager 'with immediate effect' on Wednesday. The decision comes after Mayo failed to reach the knockout stages of the All-Ireland after two defeats in the round robin. McStay was appointed in August 2022, with Stephen Rochford, Donie Buckley and Liam McHale as part of his staff. He took over from James Horan, who stepped away from the job after Mayo exited the 2022 championship in a quarter-final loss to Kerry. The lifelong Mayo man was dismissed somewhat curtly by the powers that be, with a 126-word statement confirming the departure of him and his staff. Many fans and key figures alike were outraged with the decision and the way in which it was undertaken, with Lee Keegan taking to X to say that "Kevin & his backroom deserved better than that s*** statement." Joe Brolly has appeared as a contender for the Mayo Senior Football manager job, according to Ladbrokes. With experience in a backroom team with Antrim and more recently with Knockmore GAA club in Mayo, Joe Brolly could be the one to replace Kevin McStay. Often critical of the Green and Red, Brolly has since relocated to the West and is 5/1 to pick up the coveted manager role. Frontrunner to take over from Kevin McStay is former Offaly manager John Maughan. Maughan has had a crack of whip at McHale Park before, reaching three All-Ireland finals in two separate stints as Mayo manager. The Castlebar native is 2/1 to take the reins again. Mayo legend Cora Staunton is also being considered at 4/1, having played a pivotal role on the pitch to lead the Mayo Ladies team to four All-Ireland titles. This appointment would mark a historical feat as Staunton would be the first woman to manage the team. Other GAA legends in the mix are former players Andy Moran who recently managed Leitrim (7/2), Conor Mortimer, twice All-Ireland finalist with Mayo (9/2), Lee Keegan, who won five All-stars while playing for Mayo (5/1) and current TD Alan Dillon (10/1) who might just give up his political career to go back to his beloved GAA. Cal Gildart of Ladbrokes commented: 'Brolly may not be a popular choice with the locals following some scathing reviews of the team in the past. However, his newfound love for the county may give him some leeway with punters. John Maughan is fan-favourite to answer the call once more, but there are plenty of Mayo GAA legends in the mix!' Ladbrokes Latest Odds Next Mayo Senior Football manager John Maughan – 2/1 Andy Moran – 7/2 Conor Mortimer – 9/2 Cora Staunton – 4/1 Joe Brolly – 5/1 Lee Keegan – 5/1 Alan Dillon – 10/1
