Raashii Khanna says she finds it hard to travel after Air India tragedy
Khanna took to Instagram to share how she has been battling travel anxiety following the Air India crash.
The actor posted a couple of pictures from the airport along with a note expressing how recent headlines have worsened her fear of flying. She spoke about how travel, which once felt like an "escape," now feels stressful and "heavy".
"There's so much unrest in the world... Every flight feels heavier now--not just because of the skies, but because of the headlines we carry with us. Travel used to be an escape. Lately, it feels like holding your breath. Anyone else feeling this travel anxiety too?" read her post.

The crash occurred on June 12, when a London-bound Air India Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner crashed into a hostel complex of BJ Medical College in the Meghani Nagar area of Gujarat's Ahmedabad shortly after takeoff from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport.
The tragedy claimed 241 lives out of the 242 onboard, including former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani.

Soubin Shahir granted anticipatory bail in 'Manjummel Boys' financial fraud case
Actor Soubin Shahir was arrested in Kochi, allegedly in a financial fraud case related to the film Manjummel Boys. The court has granted anticipatory bail, and he will be released after recording his arrest, the Kochi police said. The police had registered a case against actor-producer Shahir and Shawn Antony, a producer, on a complaint by Siraj Valiathara Hameed that they had not paid him the share of the profit made from the movie, despite his contribution of Rs 7 crore towards its production. Hameed, in his complaint, had mentioned that the producer duo did not even pay him his share of investment for making the movie and that they transferred the profits to their own accounts. This was a violation of the investment agreement he had executed with the producing company, as per the Kochi police. Earlier in 2024, after the success of Manjummel Boys, the Enforcement Directorate launched an investigation into alleged financial irregularities by Soubin's Parava Films. On the work front, Soubin started his film career as an assistant director in the industry with Siddique's Chronic Bachelor (2003). He is known for his works in Charlie (2015), Maheshinte Prathikaaram (2016), Kali (2016), Darvinte Parinamam (2016), Kammatipaadam (2016), Anuraga Karikkin Vellam (2016), Mayanadhi (2017), and Kumbalangi Nights. His first full lead role was in the film Sudani from Nigeria (2018) for which he won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actor. In 2024, he played the role of Siju David in Manjummel Boys. He also produced the movie.

Tourism will hit 30bln visits by 2034, outpacing growth: report
The World Economic Forum has released a report predicting that the travel and tourism industry will serve 30 billion tourist trips by 2034, contributing $16 trillion to global GDP. This represents more than 11% of the total world economy. The sector is expanding 1.5 times faster than the global economy, generating significant commercial opportunities if climate change, labor shortages, and infrastructure gaps are addressed. Asia is on track to become the world's fastest-growing tourism economy, with India and China representing more than 25% of all outbound international travel by 2030. Countries like Sri Lanka, Thailand, Indonesia, and Saudi Arabia are also expected to experience significant growth due to substantial investment in their tourism sectors. High-growth segments like sports tourism and ecotourism are redefining travel priorities, with the global travel technology market set to nearly double by 2033. To support this boom, the industry will need to expand significantly, requiring 7 million new hotel rooms, 15 million additional flights annually, and investment in infrastructure capable of supporting 30 billion trips globally. However, the report also flags significant risks, such as travel accounting for 8% of global greenhouse gas emissions, generating waste equivalent to 7% of the world's solid waste, and escalating workforce shortages. Without decisive, coordinated action, the sector could face up to $6 trillion in lost revenue by 2030 from future disruptions, missing its potential to become a true driver of resilience, inclusion, and regeneration. Børge Brende, President and CEO of the World Economic Forum, said: 'As global travel accelerates, we are standing at a pivotal crossroads. The sector's potential to drive inclusive prosperity, cultural understanding and environmental regeneration is immense—but realizing this opportunity will require more than incremental change. 'It calls for a bold reimagining of the systems that underpin travel and tourism, anchored in multistakeholder collaboration. From aligning on sustainable fuel standards to empowering local communities in tourism planning, the time has come to redesign the rules to create a sector that works better for people and the planet. This report offers a blueprint to guide that transformation and unlock tourism's full promise in a rapidly evolving world.' Ahmed Al-Khateeb, Minister of Tourism for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, said: "This report cements a global truth: tourism is not just a siloed, standalone industry—it is an engine for economic growth, cultural understanding, and international cooperation that influences all aspects of the world's experience-driven economy.
