Lady Gaga's private message to Sharon Osbourne after Ozzy's death
Lady Gaga reached out privately to Sharon Osbourne, following Ozzy Osbourne's death. The 39-year-old star was a huge fan of the late Black Sabbath rocker – who passed away last month at the age of 76 – and she sent a huge bouquet of flowers to his grieving widow to share her sympathies. A source told The Sun newspaper's Bizarre column: 'The flowers must have cost hundreds but Gaga wanted to reach out. 'Gaga has always been a huge fan of Ozzy and the Osbournes – before she was famous she even used to strip to Black Sabbath's Black Sabbath. "She once told Ozzy – he found it hilarious.' Following Ozzy's death, Gaga previously paid tribute with a cover of his solo hit Crazy Train during her MAYHEM BALL show in San Francisco. Meanwhile, this comes over 10 years after Gaga and Sharon became embroiled in an ugly public feud, following a row between Gaga and Sharon and Ozzy's daughter Kelly. Gaga's fans reacted with fury after Kelly made comments about her weight on the E! show fashion police. And, Gaga took to her own website to share an open letter to Kelly. She wrote: 'I have empathy for you Kelly, but I feel it culturally important to note that you have chosen a less compassionate path. Your work on E! with the Fashion Police is rooted in criticism, judgement, and rating people's beauty against one another. 'It used to make me truly sad when I would hear people talk about your weight when you were younger, as I was bullied too. To see you blossoming into a beautiful slender woman who makes fun of others for a living is astounding. Why not help others? Why not defend others who are bullied for their image and share your story?' A furious Sharon defended her daughter, telling The Sun: 'By not repudiating her fans' bullying, she was condoning it. That's why I called her a hypocrite. "I was so disappointed because I had always been a huge fan. I have been to three of her shows and she's undeniably a very talented woman. "But you can't bang on about being anti-bullying and then refuse to tell your fans to stop haranguing other young women with nasty threats." However, during a performance on the UK X Factor, Lady Gaga and Sharon appeared to resolve their differences, with Gaga giving Sharon a hug and a birthday cake for Kelly.

Limited Moonshine Gold Earthphase MoonSwatch (AUD$610) launches August 9 2025 Navy Bioceramic 42 mm case with Moonshine Gold moon-phase indicator Earthphase and Moonphase subdials follow opposite 29.5-day cycles for novelty Snoopy and Woodstock feature on subdial, inspired by August's Sturgeon Moon Available in-store only at select Melbourne, Perth, Sydney, and Brisbane Swatch locations Snoopy has added a golden touch to the OMEGA x Swatch Mission to Earthphase with a limited release in Moonshine Gold and navy, arriving on August 9th 2025, priced at AUD$610. Like previous releases, there's an Earthphase and Moonphase indicator, which is more of a functional gimmick than a useful tool, but it looks cool nonetheless. Both of these follow a 29.5-day cycle and move in opposite directions. For example, when there's a full moon, we see a new earth, and when there's a new moon, we glimpse a full earth. Watch enthusiasts can think of it as a reinterpretation of the retrograde function seen in some high-end timepieces. Before we take a closer look at the watch, it needs to be said that the OMEGA x Swatch Mission to Earthphase Moonshine Gold (AUD$610) will be released in-store only on August 9th 2025, at the following Swatch stores in Australia: Melbourne (Collins Street), Perth (Murray Street Mall), Sydney (Pitt Street Mall), and Brisbane (Queen Street). It's Snoopy-like and inspired by the 'Sturgeon Moon,' which appears during August (the month of this watch release). This moon takes its name from the sturgeon fish found in the Great Lakes in North America during summer, and Swatch has added a Snoopy-like cast net to one of the watches' moons to pay homage. It's a fun addition, but some of the Man of Many team thinks the dial is a bit crowded now, with three sub-dials, two of which are indicators. Like all MoonSwatch models, the OMEGA x Swatch Mission to Earthphase Moonshine Gold's case uses the patented Bioceramic material, a mix of two-thirds ceramic and one-third biosourced materials produced from castor oil. The dark navy blue hue has been created specifically for this model, and it looks like you're staring into deep space. On the caseback, the battery cover features an Earth-inspired design. However, we're more excited about the navy VELCRO rubber strap. This was previously introduced as a standalone product that you could purchase from Swatch stores, but has now been included from the factory to match the exclusive navy blue case hue. Once again, the OMEGA x Swatch Mission to Earthphase Moonshine Gold (AUD$610) will be released in-store only on August 9th 2025, at the following Swatch stores in Australia: Melbourne (Collins Street), Perth (Murray Street Mall), Sydney (Pitt Street Mall), and Brisbane (Queen Street). Being a limited release, we expect it to sell out rather quickly, even if MoonSwatch hype has died since the watches' first release.

How The Osbournes changed reality TV
Ozzy Osbourne was an architect of heavy metal music — but that's not the only medium in which he blazed a trail. The rocker, who died on July 22 at the age of 76, also helped shape reality TV. An argument might even be made, for better or for worse, that Osbourne and his family gave rise to the Kardashians. The idea of celebrities doing reality shows was far from common in 2002 when MTV first launched The Osbournes. Ozzy's music career was no longer at its height as he and his wife, Sharon, opened the doors of their home to share their private life with their then-teen children, Jack and Kelly, as well as their beloved pets. Audiences fell in love with the family members, as funny as they were fascinating. It was quite a different version of Osbourne, who was known as the Prince of Darkness for his stage performances, including the now infamous story of him biting the head off a bat. The series featured the British rocker as a domesticated dad who loved to totter around the house, often loudly yelling 'Sharon!' There were also some serious moments. The show documented Sharon Osbourne's colon cancer diagnosis in 2002 and her husband's quad bike accident in 2004. It marked one of the first times an already established celebrity pulled back the curtain on their lives for a more intimate look. The series was so successful that other networks scrambled to replicate it. Within months, E! had debuted The Anna Nicole Show, while MTV launched Newlyweds: Nick And Jessica featuring then-married singers Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson. The next few years brought even more reality shows, including UPN's Britney And Kevin: Chaotic; Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker and his then-wife Shanna Moakler's Meet The Barkers on MTV; wrestler Hulk Hogan and his family in Hogan Knows Best on VH1; MTV's Run's House featuring Rev. Run of the rap group Run-DMC and his family; and Bravo's Being Bobby Brown about the lives of married singers Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston — all of which launched in 2005. Eventually both the ratings and the Osbourne family's interest in sharing their lives waned. 'The level of success that TV show got us was too much,' Osbourne told NME in 2020. 'I had to bow out. I said to Sharon: 'I don't like the way it makes me feel and I can't stand f****** cameramen in my house.' 'I'm not upset that I did it, but I wouldn't do it again. 'People were going: 'Aren't you worried about losing your fans?' I said: 'I'm not worried about losing my fans — I'm worried about losing my f****** mind'.' Following Osbourne's death, former MTV executive Van Toffler reflected on the musician's role as reality TV pioneer. 'The language! We had to bleep so much of the dialogue,' Toffler told Variety. 'That became such an integral part of it, the way we bleeped it, how often we bleeped it, and we weren't making it up. 'It was so wrong, but unlike anything else that was on TV.'
