Lady Gaga All Set To Join Netflix's Wednesday As A Mysterious Nevermore Teacher

Last Updated: Netflix confirmed Lady Gaga's casting in Wednesday season 2 during its Tudum fan event held in Los Angeles' Kia Forum. It's official! Lady Gaga is joining Jenna Ortega for the second season of Netflix's modern gothic series Wednesday. Putting all the speculation to rest once and for all, the streaming giant confirmed the pop superstar's casting during its Tudum fan event held at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles on Saturday, May 31. Gaga will be playing the role of a Nevermore Academy teacher named Rosaline Rotwood. As per an announcement shared by Netflix, the 'mysterious and enigmatic" Rosaline Rotwood is 'a legendary Nevermore teacher who crosses paths with Wednesday." The 39-year-old singer-songwriter performed a mini-set live on stage to treat the audience at the event. In true Lady Gaga fashion, she emerged from a coffin labelled 'Here lies the Monster Queen" to confirm her role in Wednesday season 2. She crooned a mashup that included songs like Zombieboy and Abracadabra from her newly released album Mayhem. On stage, Gaga also recreated Jenna's viral dance to her song Bloody Mary and even included a dance sequence on Cramps' 1981 song Goo Goo Muck by a group of female dancers dressed like Jenna in Wednesday season 1. Lady Gaga's entry into the gothic world of Wednesday comes right after her role in the 2024 movie, Joker: Folie a Deux. The film, despite its hype and the success of Joker (2019), failed to perform as per expectations. Lady Gagahad previously proved her acting chops in House of Gucci (2021) and A Star is Born (2018). Her role in A Star Is Born also earned her a Best Actress nomination at the Oscars. She has previously worked in the horror genre too. Gaga was seen as Elizabeth 'The Countess' Johnson in season five of FX's American Horror Story. She also appeared as Scathach in the sixth instalment of the horror anthology series. As for Netflix's Wednesday, fans of the hit show got a glimpse of the second season of the hit show when the streaming giant released the first six minutes. It is worth noting that Gaga doesn't appear in that clip. She will reportedly be seen in Part 2 of Wednesday season 2. Besides Jenna and Gaga, season 2 will also feature Emma Myers, Joy Sunday, Luis Guzman, Fred Armisen, Hunter Doohan, Isaac Ordonez, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo. Part 1 of Wednesday season 2 will premiere on August 6 on Netflix, followed by Part 2 on September 3. First Published:

Rohit Saraf: OTT gave me connection and recognition while films are giving me a wider canvas

Rohit Saraf In an industry often obsessed with image and labels, Rohit Saraf has taken a quieter route, allowing the depth of his characters and the sincerity of his performances to do the talking. Whether it was the earnest charm in Dear Zindagi, the emotional weight in The Sky Is Pink, or the effortless relatability of Rishi in Netflix's Mismatched, Rohit has consistently believed in leaning in rather than showing it off. 2024 marked a pivotal shift with Ishq Vishk Rebound, where Saraf stepped into his first lead in a theatrical film. And now in 2025, he's expanding his horizons once again, this time in Karan Johar's upcoming Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, an ensemble film that signals his arrival in a big commercial movie. But while others in his shoes might be fixated on picking sides—OTT or theatrical—Rohit is more focused on the story than the spotlight. 'I've been very lucky. OTT gave me connection and recognition, and films are now giving me new challenges and a wider canvas,' he reflects. 'But honestly, I don't see it as one versus the other. For me, it's always about stories that move people, no matter where they live,' says Rohit without any trace of having an urge to be the next big thing, but steady climb toward roles that resonate and leave an emotional mark.
